[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Nurse Joy expands on her statement a little. "It doesn't take very much material for Deoxys to regenerate. Powerful energy attacks like lightning and fire are good. A Snorlax ate a dying Deoxys and that seemed to work with no ill effects. He's being observed here just in case, but we're 99% sure he's fine. But if you just chop them up, that's no good."

Ah. That sounds like Yena will be served some extraterrestrial body parts today, Shiva hopes he's hungry and will enjoy them. She grimances a little at that gross thought, but at least it saves her feeding him. "That's, eh, good advice, thank you, Joy... ugh. I'll report back shall I spot any effects of my omnivorous Pokemon from....devouring some fainted Deoxys, good and bad ones."

"*cough* May I propose another question towards you?" Shiva leans in closer upon receiving approval and lowers her voice a little. "Listen, me and some others need to get to Elanor. I'm sorry if I drop that on you like this, but... You see, we HAVE TO get there, nothing you'd say would succeed in holding us back." She's determined on that, her expression vividly tells that she won't accept a 'You can't do that' as an answer. "Please, can you tell me how the situation's there , are you in contact with the Pokemon Center located there? Any info you can give is appreciated... Should we tell anyone in charge there that we're coming to avoid the suprise of a small group of people outright appearing via a Pokemon's teleporting abilities?"

"Elanor is in MUCH worse shape. You really should not go there. We lost comms with them a few hours ago. Every human in the place has fled if they can, with the exception of one brave Shieldmaiden and one brave Nurse. That's WHERE DEOXYS is. I'm afraid I can't let you... wait, excuse me, are you Shiva? Never mind, I have orders to allow you to go where you please. Dunno what the League is thinking..."

"Many of Elanor's buildings have been destroyed, the mine entrances were barricaded by huge boulders lifted by Deoxys, weird grass is growing everywhere."

"Oh, no. That reminds me. It's using crystals of MSC to capture trainer's Pokemon. Seems to work just fine for Deoxys even to capture a trainer's Pokemon : 0"

"...that's...disturbing...reminds me a little too much of other, similar incidents..."

Nathan thinks foe a moment about everything he knows about and has heard of Deoxys, then has a rather...disturbing thought.

"...wait...what about people?  Has it kidnapped any humans? If Deoxys doesn't care about the worlds it's invading...then that means we could be part of its experiments too, right?"

Also, Nathan has two more questions not related to Deoxys for Tanuki.
- Is there anyone easily available she can think of that might be able to tutor Bug moves? (Similar to what the Steel tutor was able to do with any pokemon's Level Up Steel moves. Paying money instead of exp to teach the move)
- Could he talk to her privately real quick about something?

OH HEAVEN NO, NOT ELANOR!! ＼(º □ º l|l)/ The news that this beautiful town is mostly down hits Shiva rather hard, given how quickly she grew fond of this spot in the region in particular. Been there only for a little before having to leave, there's still so much she wanted and wished to do in the town with the tiny yellow flowers... It's the place of Cottonee's evolution, of beautiful sunsets and her prefered place to stay if she gets to enroll at Telperion.

She clenches the Shield EVEN MORE as her desire to save that town is flaring up further, and so does her worry for her Minicorn and Flabebe at the Sacred Grove. She doesn't doubt that those two are safe as long as they are under the wings of Primal Lurantis, but the simple thought that anything could have happened or would be to happen to them is driving her crazy and mad, yes she NEEDS to stop by at that Grove just to get that peace of mind and have a small word with the noble orchid mantis - if They're there in the first place.

By now, Shiva can't conceal the worry in her expression and voice anymore, there's still a good amount of will and determination hidden in between the pages though. "I know that this is where Deoxys has landed, and this is partially a reason I need to get there... I'm sorry if this sounds illogical or world-weary, I'd even agree on that part.... But just be assured that I know what I'm doing, alright? Guess the League...trusts me for some reason, as that's indeed me. How neat!~" This flatters Shiva to agood degree, she shows Nurse Joy her Trainer's and Breeder's Lisence just in case. "Did that order came directly from the League, if I may ask that?"

(That's all I wanted to know from Nurse Joy, if anythingelse comes to my mind I'll state in a flashback if that's fine.)

Next, Shiva would turn to Cosh, if he's still around, and inquire him about another aspect: "You heard that? Pretty Elanor is where shall head to, but the question is HOW. The quickest and easiest way surely is just fast-traveling, me and the others have a few Pokemon capable of teleporting people with the respective move. But what about you and your people? Do you get along? I... I won't ask questions about the 'how' f you could assure me that we'll meet at the impact side to get going together."

Summoning Pangoro and offering him something nice as a greeting: It's one of the Proteins she got! "This is for you, please give it a try... I'm feeling positive you'll like it!~ With this, you'll do even better against these mean clones who enjoy nothing more but doing with Mother Nature what they want." +1 Strength Suprise for the big scary panda. Those fists hit hard now! ^o^ Shiva lets him try out his new power by having him punch the Shield while it is making her immune to the damage.

Summoning Kyuu and offering two things to him: A pinkish-purple TM and a bag of fine silverly powder. "This is both for you dear one, I'll keep your beloved pink Apricorn safe while you carry this pouch full of powder. It's not just any powder though, I've just got this from that boot over there!~" *points to a random one that belongs to Violet Tent* "It'll power up one move of yours nicely, you'll see. This here is something I grabbed especially for you down the palace of the King, it's like the ultimate move for Psychic Types like you!~" Psychic is thaught to Kyuu via a TM Shiva took along from King Sarimanok's palace, and a nice velvet pouch of Itching Powder aka Silver Powder is handed which Shiva just bought for 400$. I think I'd like to wait with the main purchases until it's revealed what Jerry Sensen can do, hoping that Nathan would share the info about this guy upon regrouping so that we can pay him a visit together. Shiva would tell everyone who wasn't at the Center/didn't listen in everything she has gotten to know from Nurse Joy.

His eyes go wide.  "...Tanuki, did you really just say that he specializes in both Bug types and Mega Evolution?"

Yes, yes she did.

"...okay, now I REALLY need to talk to you in private."

I presume from the lack of a response previously that Tanuki doesn't have any issues with talking in private somewhere.

Private stuff

Topic 1: "...remember when I said that I was attacked by someone with a Mega Pinsir while I was near Wineberry?  Fernando had just been charged with breaking and entering, and had been exhibiting odd behavior for a pokemon trainer...but maybe I was on the wrong track, thinking it was possibly him.  If Jerry's a Bug specialist, and also has a Key Stone...I wouldn't be surprised if he had a Mega Pinsir.  And I wouldn't be surprised if he was being rather reclusive lately, either.  I'd imagine the person who threatened me might want to lay low for a bit and avoid getting into trouble, lest they get caught and called out for what they did on top of anything else..."

He sighs.  "...this is all just conjecture right now, but...I can't deny the possibility...and either way, I could really use Jerry's help right now...if I meet him, and Gallade and Princess recognize him, though...this might get awkward as all hell..."

Topic 2: Nathan absolutely needs to talk with Tanuki about this one.  "...when we went to the Skull Ruins on the premise of looking for my dad, a group of Scimitars intercepted us.  It looked like it was going to come to a fight.  But...Terra decided to talk with them instead.  And...he convinced them to work with us instead of against us, since they also wanted to defeat Deoxys with the help of the Four Artifacts.  As a result...the Scimitars have two of them.  And that's been on my mind to no end ever since we entered the Ruins.  Everything we did to prevent them from accomplishing that...and we gave them what they wanted in the end."

Another sigh.  "...on the bright side, a lot of them genuinely don't seem like bad people.  Most of them seem to genuinely want to save the region, and joined for that purpose.  One of them, Kelda, is wearing the Helm.  She...might have some thinking to do about her choices after this is all over.  Maybe.  I don't know exactly what she'll do, but...I want to believe she can understand what she's putting her pokemon through.  The Hauberk, though..."  Nathan's expression darkens a little as he continues.

"...the one wearing that Artifact is Cosh.  One of the higher ranked Scimitars, and the one who's been mostly responsible for so much of the trouble we've encountered on our journey.  Gallade hates him, and while I don't know why, the simple fact that Gallade hates his guts is significant.  He's attacked our group personally, I have good reason to believe he was responsible for kidnapping Keni and my Uncle and leveling their houses...to say I want to see him specifically behind bars is no lie."

Nathan tightens a fist.  "...but right now, I HAVE to work with him.  He has the Hauberk, and it's bonded with him.  We need that to beat Deoxys.  I can't do anything right now, though.  But after...I'm worried he'll try something, or try to run.  I asked Mesprit if they can help, and I got the impression that they could, but...that might just end in a stalemate.  This might be our last good chance to apprehend him, though.  I...feel like I need to do something, to confront him when Deoxys is defeated.  It will probably come to a fight if I do, though...I just...thought you guys would want to know.  While I can't argue that the Scimitars are trying to do some good in some capacity right now...I can't condone the methods their leadership is approving, or the practices they insist on using concerning how they train and use pokemon...so I can't just...stand by and do nothing."

"Fernando, Fernando Marlfox? He's in jail. He has a Pinsir for sure. Jerry has a Heracross."

"Dagny told me a bit about them. I don't think you have to worry, from the sound of it. Their organization is through... if we survive Deoxys."

"Oh, they're finished all right.  I really don't want Cosh specifically to get away, though.  I can't help but think he's doing this for selfish reasons...and he's also got the Hauberk.  I don't think I can let him go in good conscience while he has that.  That's a very powerful relic with a lot of historical value, and if he disappears, he's going to be taking that with him.  As for Kelda, though...we'll see.  I want to have some faith in her, same as Gallade and Calam."

"Anyways...thanks again.  For both the help and for listening.  The past few days have been such a drag since I was almost forced into working with what might as well be my and Gallades' archnemesis at this point.  Seriously."
