"...that's probably what you thought before heading into the Kadabra Chambers without any backup besides your own pokemon, isn't it...? Not that the Scimitars intended to give you much choice in the matter...*sigh*...mom never was able to win an argument with you over these topics...well, let's talk it over with everyone else. If you're going to do this, we need to solidify our plan."
Well, everyone?
-------------------------------------------------
Regarding other topics, I'll just keep it brief and say that Nathan gives the group a quick summary of his conversation with Tanuki (minus the decidedly private topics concerning the Mega Pinsir incident and the Scimitars' involvement and what to do about it).
"...so, yeah, the situation doesn't look to good in the immediate area around Deoxys. Teleporting in has numerous risks if it's even possible in the first place, and we'd likely be foregoing any other kind of support from anyone else the League might be calling on since they aren't fully ready to stage an attack of their own yet. The Elite Four are gathering, Latias might be getting involved, the Champion's already out in the field, fighting off clone after clone to buy some time...we need to act fast, but I don't think we should rush in recklessly."
"As far as prep goes, there are two main things besides purchasing supplies to consider. One: there's a bug specialist in town who might be able to help us teach some Bug moves to our pokemon in exchange for some cash. His name's Jerry Sensen, and he's got a Heracross. I'm planning to go talk to him about possibly helping teach Princess how to use her Orders properly, or at least getting her some stronger Bug moves to use. I'm afraid all that work learning how to rule hasn't really prepared her properly for the battlefield much...anyways, Jerry Sensen should be at the Cathedral, according to Tanuki, so I'm going to go talk with him about maybe teaching some Bug moves."
"Two: my dad knows where the HM for FLY is. He can go retrieve it, but...well, it could be risky. I'm not so sure about it myself, but...my dad's insisting. If he's going to go fetch it, we need to figure out where he's going to meet us, which means figuring out what our plan is for this attack. We just spent all day in the Skull Ruins, and we're going to need some rest at some point. Deoxys has been seemingly avoiding the Safari Zone, so it could be a good place to rest up and prepare for the final attack. It might allow Hayes enough time to call Latias as well."

(Ready, and willing to dialogue and converse!)
First off, when everyone re-unites Terra wastes no time in giving Nathan/Heart their share of the Skull Ruins Loot, simply saying to them as he did so "Here. Your shares of treasure. Invest it wisely."
His reaction to the grim outlook of the ongoing DEOXYS Crisis was......subdued, but
notable. The sagely expression was in its usual stoic state throughout his best friends review of the situation, but their was a definite
hardness to it that made it feel like a mountainous wall of Steel, and his eyes......they were FIERCE,
dark,
thoughtful, and
brooding, like a super cell storm looming over the horizon, ready to come over and unleash it's fury upon whatever unfortunate soul lies within it's purview. For Shiva, his overall mood was similar to when he interrogated that Scimitar back the past, and in it he carried the same
determination to see this catastrophe
resolved for the good of all and his friends.
".....Then we must be prepared. For everything. If.....
Deoxys threat grow bigger with time, though......we need to deal with them
quickly too. .....But we need rest. Our Pokemon, and ourselves. Skull Ruins have....taken payment for us, so we need to......recur it."
*Shakes Head*
"Fight.....
Deoxys now, and we are at disadvantage, but prevent
it from.....gaining more advantage for itself, and.....buy time for League to act. Wait and......fully prepare, and have better chance against
it......but that give
it to....build up forces, cause
bad trouble, or do......
stuff with capture Pokemon and humans. *Sighs* .....Not an easy choice. At
all."
Terra takes a half minute to continue, his eyes closed in thought, before opening them and speaking up in a firm, unyielding tone.
"
We should wait a day. Take time to rest and with preparations, and Fight when we are absolutely ready. Going now or soon too risky, and we should.....coordinate our attack with League to......increase effectiveness of both. Need to give Cosh and other Scimitars time to get ready for fight too. Have to trust Bo and other warriors to keep things from getting worse. That is what I think."
.....And the sagely monk is advocating a relatively slow approach, for fairly clear reasons. He doesn't want his friends and charges charging into
literal earth shattering danger in anything less than PERFECT condition and readiness, and feels that in general the current resistance will hold out long enough for it to not be
too detrimental for them to take more time for planning, prep, and respite. Simple as that. It's clear, though, that he isn't making this choice lightly, judging by how his jaw tightened and a slight frown tugged at his lips, the increase of tenseness in his posture, and feelings of
uneasy displeasure at himself and
resigned inevitably about it.
News about the Bug Move Tutor momentarily gets his mind of his stance, causing his eyebrows raise in surprise and then mild elation (As their help would
DEFINITELY be appreciated), before
something occurred to him that caused him to visibly grimace.
"......Good. Would like to come with you too, and get partners Tutored. More Moves Effective against.....
Deoxys, the better. But......"
He looks the brilliant historian in the eye, before glancing meaningfully at his purple and ripe braided rope belt and back to them again. More specifically, at a certain and most
nautical Apricorn hanging off it.....
Marco's plan to grab HM FLY for the group (and Nathan's reservations about it + coordination) is meet with a short period of silence from the rugged wanderer, before calmly and carefully giving his opinion on the matter.
".....If your papa want to get FLY for us, that is his choice to make. Will not speak for or against it. Trust.....his own judgement and skill to make.....sound action. No matter what it is."
At that, he turns his head over to the accomplished father, and gives him a particularly
stern look.
"....No matter
what he puts at stake. For himself....or others."
It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure out
what Terra's alluding to.
He then looks back to Nathan/the group and continues speaking without missing a beat.
"Hm.....
think Stair would be better place to rest. More defended location, has Department Store to make more purchases, and can group up with Cosh there quickly before Fighting.....
Deoxys. *Nods* That is what I think. *Looks at everyone* Well?"
Finally, he has this to add to the discussion: "
Should.....call Chuckles, and see if he can help us with.....Deoxys. Might know ways to Strengthen our Ghosts, ways to overcome....
them, and would....be good ally to have in battle."
As for preparations, I'll hold off until I learn how much it will cost to Tutor Terra's Pokemon via Jerry, as I rather not spend
too much on them and limit what he can teach his partners as a result.
Oh, and he bids farewell to Cosh most cordially, wishing him luck with his/the Scimitar on their end of things and waving them off. He gives Kelda a somewhat curious look at her slight delay, but he soon brushes it off and forgets about it, considering it irrelevant in the end.
