29XP is a common rating for it. Then you get a 10XP discount because it's a move that's intended to be tutored. So 19XP x 75$.

The Plates are just like a Charcoal or whatever. Same as in the games. They give +1 dice to their type of move.

A move tutor wouldn't know where to begin on tutoring a Legendary Pokemon, but might be a good resource when you try to upgrade Genesect.

...So Arete can't learn any Move from any Move Tutor? Not even Jerry?  At least, not now?

Right, her moves come from modifications. That was the deal.

.....You've let me use a TM to teach them Hidden Power Fire, Iron, which are not really a form of modification to their body/being. Tutoring them a Move, or at least just Fury Cutter (As it's a normal Level Up Move for Genesect in the games), should not be totally outside the realm of possibility. Especially seeing as it's (a) Bug Move(s) being tutored to a Bug Pokemon that has the instincts for battle a savagery.

TMs are technology, but actually I think it would make sense for Jerry to have access to TMs of that move, as well. He'll charge you the same as if it were tutoring, and that way he never even needs to see Arete.

Does that 10 exp discount only apply to ? moves, or can it also be applied to level up moves?  (Mainly looking at Signal Beam and Fury Cutter, though I guess it could also be applicable to Bug Bite.  String Shot is also technically tutorable, but that only happened once, and nobody really cares about String Shot)

*Relieved Sigh* .....Thank you, Iron. For both this small concession, and offering me/Terra a convenient way to avoid showing too many people he owns a Genesect. The last thing he wants it people Buging about his primal powerhouse - heck, he doesn't even want Marco to know about them if at all possible.

Now that I have this bit of information, I can make my list of purchases + the cost of tutoring my Pokemon now. *Cracks Knuckles* Time to get a writing!

Ooh, the rare Johto TM 49 Fury Cutter!  Can only usually get that from Bugsy!
