Yes we do have a German translation team. Most of the current translation is compete but needs testing and proofreading. I can see if they want to add another person for that and to help with future game updates. It's recommended that you have a good understanding of English also though to make sure the translations maintain accuracy to the original
Hi all! Just wanted to check in really quick and confirm / clarify what @
DjLodos said above. Yes, we do have a German translation team; at my last check-in with them (which has been a couple months ago), they did in fact tell me that the bulk of the work was complete, but that they wanted to playtest and proofread everything before turning it over to the dev team for release. I guess that's a little bit of hype for our German community,
BUT we don't know how much longer that will take since they (like the rest of us) are volunteers working in our spare time, so we don't have a release date for it or even a good estimation of one.
Also, I wanted to point out that while none of our translation teams are
actively recruiting, we are continuously taking applications for translators. @
Iron is correct in that I'm overseeing the translations now, as Samrux has now retired from the Uranium Team, so anyone who is interested is welcome to talk to me on Discord (or PM me here, although I'm on Discord far more frequently than here so you're more likely to get a faster reply there). The only major requirement is that you have a comfortable proficiency with both English and the language you're translating for (i.e. if you have to use Google Translate for more than just the occasional rarely-used word that you don't recognize, you probably won't be a good match). Having completed the game is recommended but not required, as you'll most definitely encounter spoilers if you've not finished it!
