"...huh.  That wasn't quite as effective as I thought it might be...hmmm..."

Even though Nathan doesn't exactly understand what the Deoxys clones' exact interaction with the Sword is, he HAS seen Legendary attacks before and knows how they normally work, and these Deoxys definitely didn't take as much damage as they should have, given what he knows of the type of damage he's dishing out.

Nathan twirls the Sword in his hand as he prepares his strategy.  It's simple, really:

Weaken as many of these Deoxys clones as he can as quickly as possible.  They can't afford to become overwhelmed, and if he can't KO them all with relative ease, then he'll soften them up so that everyone else can finish them off!

"Everyone focus on downing whichever targets are weakest!  The fewer attacks we take, the better!  Grid, let's show these clones who's really boss around here!  Gallade, follow up and finish them off!"

The Sword and Grid glow once more as Nathan begins spinning the Sword again in time with Grid's attacks!

Grid:

Fury Cutter x5 (Targeting one Deoxys at a time until each target is at 1 HP.  Targets the Defense Forms first, then the Attack, then Normal)
Acc: 16 - 5/6/7/8/9 = 11/10/9/8/7 D6
Dmg: 1 PD (2 on Defense form?)
Eff: Multi action

Gallade, meanwhile, follows up with his own furious assault since he's immediately after Grid!  His attacks might not be as powerful, but they should be enough to help bring down a foe or three!  And thanks to Tailwind, both he and Grid get to act before any non-Speed Form Deoxys can! He shall not let these foes conduct their unjustified experiments unopposed!

Gallade:

Fury Cutter x5 (targeting priority is the same as Grid's, but with the addition of hitting 1 HP foes before any others)
Acc: 14 - 5/6/7/8/9
Dmg: 8* Str (+3 total thanks to Calm Mind and FG) + 1 Pow + 1 SP + SE = 10 D6 base + 1 damage
Eff: Multi action

If this works, it should KO 2 or 3 of the Deoxys clones and leave one at half HP.  It's a gamble, but this could easily turn things in our favor.

Nathan will also prepare a (Super Potion) for Grid (using whichever is more appropriate) and a Super Potion for Gallade should either reach a -2 Pain Penalty or greater.  In addition, if Grid or Gallade take a large amount of Lethal damage, Nathan will instead use a Hyper Potion or Max Potion on them instead respectively.

Deoxys Round 2

The Deoxys reach your position in practically no time. They swarm methodically forward, secure in their superiority. As they go, the Defense forme Deoxys rip up huge chunks of houses and haul them onto the battlefield. The Normal formes take up positions on either side of the somewhat distant tower, and the Attack Forme Deoxys....attack!

Marco commands Feraligatr forward. The big croc spreads its arms wide and pushes a path through the rubble toward Defense Forme Deoxys, and Nathan's mons run up it.

Kelda uses her speed to run up this alley ahead of Nathan. Her Gauntlet glows with power, and the Helm glows too. She changes her idea at the last minute and hops up on a roof, still moving even faster than Nathan. Energy streaks behind her in a rainbow as she cocks her fist to aim at the Attack Deoxys. The Gauntlet whines and hums, then sends an incredible buildup of electricity. She reloads the spell and strikes the second one, too. The Helm allows her to strike twice with impeccable accuracy before anyone else has time to do anything. Seems she's swapped out her "spells."

"I'll slow 'em down!"

Nathan is right - the Sword-empowered slices cut right through Defense Forme Deoxys leaving a trail of dark flame. Two super-effective slices are enough to faint a Defense Forme Deoxys, and they crash to the ground with a mighty thud. They have the appearance of having taken only small wounds, but the mental toll is higher when empowered by the Sword.

After Grid crawls across the battlefield leaving his spiderweb of thin slice wounds, there are two Defense Deoxys down and one Attack Forme is left with half HP.

Gallade leaps behind him, ready to finish off anything that gets close.

(2)(1)(4)(2)(2) 4 hits. Gallade is a whirling dervish of deathly blades. Even Lancelot looks jealous (and moves in to guard his back).
He removes the head of an Attack Deoxys, and leaves the other at 1hp by sinking his fist into its crystal. It begins regenerating around him immediately.

Arete feasts.

Cosh moves the Shield protection to Grid.

Fissure 1
(2)(2)(1)(5)(6)(1) Barely hits. Genie strikes the ground headfirst and burrows at a high enough speed to create a fault line, which just crosses the corner of the tower. An entire corner of the tower is destroyed instantly as it sinks into the fissure. The Rotom don't react, which is eerie in its own right.

Attack Deoxys regenerates a third of his HP, forcing Gallade to cut his way free. Deoxys reaches out a curly hand and touches the roof of the Elanor Greenhouse. Steel and glass glows with psychic energy and is immediately covered in little spikes of purple. With a thrust, the sweeping roof slices right through Gallade's side, leaving glass shards embedded in his flesh. The roof keeps going and hits Grid, then swerves in midair in defiance of all laws of physics. It strikes Toya and explodes into glass shards, tearing the wings of Yanma. Gallade, Grid, Toya, and Yanma take 1 point of plot device damage and are immediately reduced to 1HP. This'll count half as Lethal Damage too. Nathan has time to Hyper Potion Gallade before the Deoxys manning the antenna act. That should bring Gallade to almost full. Neura gets a Super Potion too.

Normal Forme Deoxys spreads its arms wide. The two touch, and their gems blink. They hum at an almost subsonic level, and the tower resonates. All the Rotom, and Gastly, and Litwick, a Cryogonal, Musharna in Dream Mist, and a few Slugma... they all organize themselves into the same pattern as Deoxys' twisting, splitting strands. They launch their attack across the terrain at the Pokemon weakened by Attack forme.

Since it's a spread move, it also eats away at the fainted Pokemon too.

Oh, and that reminds me, Terra wanted to use his first trainer action to catch a Speed Deoxys. The thing doesn't appear at all weakened by being fainted, but it does get sucked into the ball.

(4)(3) Deoxys faints, leaving only the Normal clones.

The party begins running at Deoxys, and the Normal Deoxys pace calmly toward you. Action 2 is you both crossing the battlefields. Genie gets an attack, and so does the tower.

Luxray pulls Delphox onto his back to allow the fox to charge up Blast Burn while moving.

Nathan has time for a second trainer action to heal Gallade up. Grid is protected so I'm guessing you won't reserve a Potion for him.

This does drop things like Lucky Chant.

Also, Heart puts the Frozen Roar to his lips. It forms a megaphone, and he shouts encouragement that makes the valleys ring. The ability easily works across the distance.

Fissure 2

Another corner of the tower sinks down. The main structure buckles without the two Deoxys supporting it, and half the Pokemon fall off and immediately begin scurrying away.

Antenna 2
(3)(2)(2)(4)(1)(2) (3)(1) It actually misses, against the odds.

The movement of the Deoxys has become agitated, erratic. But the effect is not comforting, it's unsettling. Especially because as they move in on Gallade, their limbs knit back together, missing areas are reformed, and their gems continually harden. Despite a constant battering by your best efforts without the Artifacts, they remain as big a threat as ever. Kelda frowns, thinking what she can do to help.

Cosh: "Wait, wait, wait, I have a plan! The Hauberk is supposed to be the counter to this situation! It has to be! This has to work! Transfers, right?"
Kelda: "I have an idea too, but I don't know if it will work. I think the true Deoxys would be immune to this, you know, with space and all, and they're all too mobile to be hit by a Fissure, but... It's definitely something only I can do. It might also work better on Speed Forme."

Sheer Cold Spell 5
(5)(4)(6)(5)(4)(5)
Zoop. Crinkle. Crackle. The ground and air become frigid and frosty. The Artifact wielders are kept warm by their fiery weapons, but everyone else begins to shiver and their teeth chatter. The weaker Deoxys continues moving, until ice begins dribbling out of every gap in its flesh. The thing was frozen from the inside out, and its gem becomes brittle and frosty. This attack will be akin to a Plot Device Damage on Deoxys, dropping it to 1hp.

Badly poisoned: (4)(2)(3)(6)(1)
Burn 3: (2) Deoxys takes 3 lethal dmg 19/45hp

"This is great! Piledrive that sucker!"

Though the other Deoxys definitely know you're here, they aren't close enough yet to join the fight. They're all switching to Speed Forme and converging on you, though.
Marco, Cosh, and Kelda feel good about taking down this last Deoxys before it regenerates, even without Gallade.
To the northeast and northwest, twinkling lights appear in the sky! One is purple, one is blue, one is red.

Shiva's HATING the Deoxys for destroying more houses just because as well as ruining the Greenhouse of Elanor before she could pay it a visit, she as a lover of nature wishes that she could rescue some of the rarer plants if she wouldn't be head-over-heals involved in the current battlefield. She will make sure to make those invaders from space PAY for that act directly.

On the contrary to that and the nasty feelings of wrath it awakes, she's absolutely ENJOYING how Cosh made it gain conrol of that AntennaTowerThing trapping formless Pokemon - that's a much better antic than destroying it, yesss! Cosh ranks up in popularity for her, letting her overcome any remains of distrust towards him. Good move, a truely good move he pulled off here.

Summary of the last Round I made for me to decide on further Actions, which I'll probably bring up later today:

- We left the battlefield, removing Tailwind, Lucky Chant and Sunny Day by doing so.
- Luxray and Feraligart joined the fight.
- Toya and Gallade have fainted.
- Genie is at 8/12HP, Neura at 4HP of ???
- Grid, Delphox, Nightshade, Arete, Gustav and Lancelot are unharmed.
- Arete has +2 Strength thanks to Fell Stinger.
- The only Deoxys still standing after this Round is a NormalForm one, 19/45HP as well as suffering Poison+, Burn3 and Paralysis.
- More Clones are coming in Speed Form, so dealing with ^that one as fast as possible is the key.

Being silently proud how about the growth and firepower of her firely mage, Shiva calls out for him and lets him return to his Pokeball for now. "You did great, very great, so lets save your strength for later since this is just the beginning!" While putting that Ball away, another one is drawn and tosses, and from it a small feline held in blue and white leaps out: Kyuu lets out a sharp hiss and IMMEDIATELY leaps to sink his claws into that remaining clones, showing no fear at all. That's probably the 'I'll make you pay for destroying that pretty greenhouse of town'-act Shiva wished for.

Accuracy Roll Kyuu's fierce Fake Out 1: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 3 Brawl - 4 Actions = 6d6 +1 spent Will Point to make this Action hit
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 2 Power of the move, no STAB = just 6d6, but...
Additional notes: ...it auto-flinches Deoxys. Has also +1 Priority.

After that he takes a moment to leap back into a defensive act.

Accuracy Roll Kyuu's Light Screen 2: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel +1 Ethereal Ribbon Bonus - 5 Actions = 9d6
Effect: Grants -1 point of damage from special moves fr 4 Rounds, including the Clone's Nighshades.
Secondary Effect: This potential lifesaver has +1 Priority thanks to Prankster Ability.

Then he gets to ATTACK again with dazzling lights!

Accuracy Roll Kyuu's Signal Beam 3: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 6 Actions = 7d6
Accuracy Roll Kyuu's Signal Beam 4: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 7 Actions = 8d6
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 3 power of the move + held Silver Powder, no STAB = 8d6, Clones ignore SE-Bonus
Additional notes: Has 1CD to confuse the Deoxys Clone due to letting it see stars it never saw before.

A certain smol cherry blossom closes her petals but stays out anyway, and bravely jumps around the much bigger battlers. She shares Shiva's feelings of being offended by the demolition of the greenhouse! Shiva can directly feels that and lets her switch roles from supporter to attacker. "Put your everything into your own assaults and use the destruction it caused against it, dear one!!" (#`Д´) That sly grin Nightshade learned from her Master and her fae companions suits her very well.

Accuracy Roll Nighshade's hearty Nature Power! 1: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 4 Actions = 9d6
Accuracy Roll Nighshade's hearty Nature Power! 2: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 5 Actions = 8d6
Accuracy Roll Nighshade's hearty Nature Power! 3: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 6 Actions = 7d6
Accuracy Roll Nighshade's hearty Nature Power! 4: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 7 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 4 Stength + 3 power of the move, only being close to grass grants STAB = 7d6
Additional notes: Thanks to all the rubble and stuff this attack will have 3CD to flinch the remaining Clone.

About the Type of this certain Nature Power I'm unsure though - we're in town, where it'd take Electric Type. All that wreckage around would make it Rock Type. Elanor grows tiny yellow flowers everywhere, depending how big the greenhouse is was Nighshade could call its inner to power up her attack, and the Deoxys themselves create Tall Grass nearby. Maybe the Clonse themselves also make Nature Power have a particular Type. Eh... Iron, your pick. (Held Miracle Seed adds a dice of damage if Grass Type is picked.)

A Super Potion is reserved for both Shiva's current fighters shall their HP fall dangerously low (below half), and the Shield will grant invincibility to Kelda with Cosh still having permission to swap it if desired.

Since these posts are getting to be BIG honkers, I'm going to be doing something different in responding to them - breaking Terra's reactions up into small, play-by-play sections for easier writing and reading!

Beginning of Round:

Terra meets the oncoming tide of clones with cold, cold anger, with one hand on the hilt of his sword hanging on his belt, ready to bring it to bare against them should they dare assault his charges. The destruction they wrought on Elenor and the twisted alien constructs they erect from it's remains, the contempt for both life and its integrity as they corral, entrap, and experiment on the Pokemon in their 'care', and the callous indifference they had for anything or one not of their own.....it disgusted the sagely monk in ways he didn't know was possible until now.

More than ever before, he wanted, nay, demanded the subjection and eradication of the extraterrestrial scourge known as DEOXYS, for the crimes and atrocities they've committed present and past deserves no less.

Kelda plan gets a loud "UNDERSTOOD!" , while Genie by the Antenna readied herself to sink that sucker into the ground with a few well placed FISSURES! Anything that would put the group ahead of those space fairing menaces was a-Okay with them! Arete's remained indifferent, only caring about any orders she/it recieved from her/their Master, and continuing to DEVOUR their enemies.

Attack Deoxy, First Antenna, and Genie's Double Night Shade 'Fun':

His blood ran cold when he saw Gallade, Toya, and Yanma get sliced and diced by Attack Deoxy's immensely powerful telekinetic assault, causing him to shout out to his friends "NATHAN, SPIRA, ARE YOUR PARTNERS OKAY?!" The subsequent Super Discharge from shocks him (metaphorically) as he see what the alien-made construct was truly capable, before he becomes furious when it managed to knock out Toya the swolest Ghost, prompting him to bellow to his dragonfly princess thus: "GENIE, TAKE DOWN THAT TOWER NOW!!"

This was an Order she was all too happy to enact, especially after those jelly wretches TRIED to break her body and mind with their teneborous powers. If she was not irritated before with the clones, she was furious with them now. Oh, you want to play dirty, do you now slime molds. Well, she'll oblige you like only a Ground Type can, once she can bring this Antenna down. Soon, soon.

Terra's Capture Attempt and Afterwards:

On one hand, the mountain of a man can't help but angrily grimace when the Purple Speed Clone easily manages to break free from his Ultra Ball (Before they're subsequently eaten by Arete - oh nom nom! - which cheers him up the best it can), but on the other it showed that they could be Caught after all, even if it seems an almost impossible task. Hm.....maybe he'd have better luck Catching a more debilitated one? Something he'll have to try later, but for now he refocuses on the ongoing battle, striding to meet the Normal Deoxys with great big strides and a face craved from titanium!

Kelda's Sheer Cold Spell and Cosh's Hijacking The Antenna:

Seeing how effective the archmage mistress freeze spell was against the clone, and the master wizard sieze control on the diabolical antenna, Terra face light up in a 'Eureka!' moment as an dea came to him, which he subsequently conveyed to the both of them by bellowing it out to them!

"COSH, CAN YOU CHANNEL YOUR GAUNTLET'S  SPELL POWER INTO TOWER, AND USE IT TO BLAST ALL DEOXYS IN ELANOR? IF YOU CAN, TRY WITH KELDA'S FREEZE SPELL, PLEASE! KELDA, KEEP USING FREEZE SPELL AGAINST THE CLONES, UNTIL YOU CAN NOT! WORKED WELL BEFORE, SO SHOULD WORK WELL AGAIN!"

It was after saying this that a surge of Willpower coursed through Terra's views as his Will began to flare, his DETERMINATION to defeat the super space virus spiking ever higher with this turnabout event! If things work out as he expects, then dispatching all but the PRIME DEOXYS from Elanor should be made trivial!

(Mechanically, the Will Point is used to bolster his resistance against the clones, or bar that helping Genie ignore Pain/distractions for the Round. As discussed in the Meta Thread, this is primarily for Cosh's benefit, should he shift the effects of the Will Point to him or the other characters)

End of the Round:

Though it only lasted a scant few second, the latest bout of battle was a grueling one that tried every the rugged wanderer and every single one of his friends, but the outcome of it was plainly terrific. Only one Normal Form Deoxys remained, their unearthly Vitality flagging from the relentless and disruptive assault of the entire coalition and its back-up not arriving soon enough for it to matter to the clone, and they've discovered several ways to completely undermine and crush it and its kind. The Fainted clones were also being rapidly consumed by his primal powerhouse, further denying any possible chance of salvation for it.  In light of this, there was only one thing Terra could do: press this advantage for all it can give!

"GENIE, ROCK SLIDES ON LAST CLONE! ARETE, FINISH EATING, AND ATTACK IT TOO! EVERYONE, GOING TO TRY AND CATCH IT, SO DON'T KILL IT UNLESS I CAN'T!"

With that said, he grabbed another Ultra Ball from his pocket, and lobbed it at the clone, in a bid to Catch and/or distract it!

Orders: Terra's going to spend his two or so Trainer Actions trying to catch Deoxys with his stock of Ultra Balls, and if it Fainted before the Round ends he'll start doing regular Actions to try and catch it if possible. On the more offensive side of things, Genie's going to be using Rock Slide five times against the interstellar invader, hoping to both wear it down and Flinch it to halt its regen, while Arete will spend their first few Actions eating the remaining Fainted clones before dive bombing the last one with Fell Stingers. Moreover, Terra will wait until Genie/anyone else Flinches the Normal Clone before trying to Catch it, in order to maximize the odds of success (Flinch + 3 Other Status - 12 Will = 8D6 Capture Roll Resist vs Ultra Ball's 6D6 Roll). This chapter of the war is about to end, so let's get it done and prepare for the next!

Moves:

Rock Slide
Accuracy: DEX (*6 [If Tailwind is still active, otherwise 4) + Fight + Channel + Wide Lens - 1 Accuracy - 1 Pain - 5/6/7/8/9 Actions = 8/7/6/5/4D6 Base Dice Without Tailwind
Damage: STR (5) + 3 + Hard Rock - 7 Vitality (If that is the VIT of that Form) = 2D6 Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*

Fell Stinger
Accuracy: DEX (*7 or *5 [Tailwinded or not]) + Fight + Brawl - 5/6/7/8/9 Actions (She won't be attack right away, but let's just say she has 5 Actions qued up to attack, just in case and for ease of calculation) = 10/9/8/7/6D6 Base Dice Without Tailwind
Damage: STR (*8) + 1 + STAB + Silver Powder + SE - 7 Vitality = 4D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: None, at this point.

@Iron, you forget the conditional order of Lancelot in his raise his strength with Swords Dance in case his foes faint.

"Keep going forward people! We almost there!" Gustav continue in use as much Dark Pulses as possible to Flinch foes. And Lancelot to use Wide Guard 3x and then use Shadow Claw in the most weakned foes. In case they too get to much hurt Super/Hyper Potion right away.

Heart also used the Frozen Roar to boost Gustav Dark Pulsing attacks. Can I use the Frozen Roar more than one time to increase its power?

Dark Pulse Accuracy: Dex(7*)+Fight(5)+Channel(3)+Frozen Roar(2)-Actions(5/6/7/8/9)=12D6/9D6/8D6/7D6/6D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(7*)+Dark Plate(1)+Frozen Roar(2)+SE(1)= 13D6+1
Effect: Spread Move (Surprise!). D3 to Flinch.

Wide Guard 1 Accuracy: Dex(7*)+Fight(5)+Channel (3)+Wide Lens(1)-Actions(5)=11D6
Effect: Protect user and allies. Priority 3. Reduce 3 dice damage from foes.

Wide Guards 2 and 3: Dex(7*)+Fight(5)+Channel(3)+Wide Lens(1)-Actions(6/7)-Difficulty(3/3)= 5D6/4D6+1 (Will Point)
Effect: Same as before. Gonna use Will Point on last Wide Guard.

Shadow Claw Accuracy: Dex(7*)+Fight(5)+Brawl(3)+Wide Lens(1)-Actions(8/9)=8D6/7D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(5)+STAB(1)+SE(1)=9D6+1
Effect: Hight Critical.

Frozen Roar: Dex(5)+Channel(3)+Earthpower (6)=14D6
Effect: Can scary up to 6 foes. If Deoxys clones do not be affected, gonna use his Helping Hand effect to increase damage and accuracy from Genie Fissure.

Conditonal orders: In case our foes faint, Lancelot will summon Swords Dance to increase his attack power!
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Lancelot acted all 5 actions, so he didn't have time to use Swords Dance.

If you want to use the Roar part of the Frozen Roar, you have to equip it to one of your Pokemon. Who will be holding it?
