[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

M....My Shield, my precious Shield! o(TヘTo) I want it back.... Iron, how long (in Actions) may it take for Melly to retrive it IF she can find it and return to the battlefield? Also, can I increase the odds of getting it back if I revive Whimsicott and send her to search for it too? She may not be able to FLY, but she's got Tailwind at least...

Related to that, since Melly has shot off to retrieve the Shield (And has presumably left the battlefield), if I increase Terra's DEX  by 2 (to *6, same as Nathan) and Athletics by 1 up to a stat total of 2 (Athletics increases Movement Speed) while she's using her sense of smell + Quick Attack, would she be able to find it faster (potentially; also, is she under the effects of Tailwind)  ?  I actually have plenty of XP to make those 'purchases', I've just held off spending any for a long time because I didn't need to have any Attribute/Specialty  increases, and I was saving up just in case their was an expensive Surprise! that benefit Terra greatly in the future. Now that The Shield has been wrested away from the group, though.....I can't afford NOT to spend XP, if doing so would help save our collective bacon!

I will try to revive Quetzal to act as a Shield to Nathan. Even within his base Form, Quetzal size might be enough to at least block Deoxys attack on Nathan.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Unless you use a Max Potion on him, Quetzal's probably dead if he takes another PDD.

Also, Charizard technically wasn't participating in the battle at that point, so why did he end up being targeted...?

And one more question: does Melly also have Lightning Rod?  I honestly forget if she does.

There is no way to outspeed Speed Forme using pure numbers. Nor priority!

The Charizard there is not yours, it's the one from the E4. Its trainer had a plan for it but it didn't work out.

Melly does have lightning rod, but she's left the battlefield on very important business and it doesn't actually work on Shock Wave.

Melly's land movement speed can be affected, however - Quick Attack doubles your speed and Dexterity increases it linearly. So increasing your stats with XP will bring her back faster.

You aren't sure where it went, but with your Insight being as high as it is you have a pretty good idea that it went quite high in Mt. Molten. It won't be a super quick trip.

What about with FLY?  Would that even the odds at all?

Oh, okay.  Thanks for the clarification.

Alright, then let it be known that Terra will spend 76 XP (30 XP for the 4 point of DEX, 40 XP for the 5th, and 6 XP for the Atheltics) to increase Terra's DEX to 5 and increase his overall movement speed, which is then increased to *6 by his DEX Badge Pair! With Melly constantly spamming Quick Attack, this will boost her Land Movement speed to roughly 170.5 miles per hour (106 kmph), or 0.047361111 miles per second! Fast stuff, but will it be enough to get The Shield before everyone gets a fatal headache or biopsy....?

Going to get up post ASAP now!

Ah, Windos, in that case I'd appreciate it a lot if you'd be able to raise Terra's Dext by at least 1, you said you'd do that, right...? I love you.

Quite high in Mount Molten - but, can I still revive Whimsi and send her along with Melly, ordered to constantly increase her speed with Tailwind? Since those two will leave the battlefield, Whimsi won't count as my 3rd Pokemon out, will she?

With FLY you can get from one point to another faster than Speed Forme can, but it doesn't affect the initiative.

Assuming we use the D&D definition of a 6 second round, that's .25 miles in a round. The absolute furthest part of Mt. Molten is 2 miles away, the Shield is likely a bit closer than that. But you gotta reach the Shield and then return.

That's correct. If you do that, 2 rounds will be the maximum time for Melly to get back.
