[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Now that I think about it, Terra would do one last thing before crashing for the day (aside from healing his partners, of course) - try to get into contact with Keni to check and see if he's alright after all the crazy stuff has happened, and ask them if they are willing to do him a favor by making a couple of Location Cards for him and the group (Specifically Mega Syrentide's Domain in Slowpoke Well, Nido City [If Nathan wants to return The Sword to them someday], and The Pseudo Throne Room [In case we find a way to go even deeper in the Skull Ruins with/without the Three's help). While it'll be a few days before he's able to attempt to forcibly reign in the Deoxys Clone he caught, he might as well pave the way to doing so before that point, and even if the legendary artist couldn't fulfill his request (or wouldn't) he still wanted to check up on them.

If Dragonstrike/Nathan would want to tag along for this, he'd seek them out and invite along, and his mood at that time would be a calmer but still a bit melancholy.

Whoops, forgot to ask Nathan's mom about Keni in the heat of the moment earlier.  The artist was staying at the Warren Ranch for a short time after his home was destroyed, after all.

So yeah, Nathan's fairly quick to guide Terra back to where his mother is to (hopefully) find out where she last saw Keni Morgusi.  "...I honestly feel like such a dolt right now for forgetting that he'd been staying at our place before this all happened.  Is he still around here somewhere, mom?"

There are plenty of League officials here, though all are busy. Luckily, one approaches your group to ask you something. It'll be easy to ask her for a word.
"Hello, y'all! I'm Annabelle. You probably know of my cousin Bo! I represent the Creshire League Department of Battle Technology. Our department is in charge of access to things like Key Stones and SURF, and what items are legal in standard battles. I've come to ask you about FLY! Firstly: We'd like to negotiate borrowing it and teaching some of our key staff this important, long-lost move. Second, though we're not planning to subpoena the Hidden Machine or any such thing, perhaps we could negotiate a contract for entrusting it to the League when you've completed your journeys?"
"By the way, did you all get a chance to learn SURF?"

Huh, Shiva feared that they'll all be busy, but she's very delighted that one of them takes some time for her and Nathan. Shiva kindly returns the greeting and introduces herself by her name, then her eyes go wide and she becomes somewhat more timid. "Y-you're cousins with Bo, that Bo? Awww, that must be quite the honor, g...glad to meet you, Annabelle!~ (^0^)" Shiva insists on shaking her hand. "Oh, and, uhm, thank you for letting me too have a Keystone, I'm really really thankful that I achieved enough in your department's view to earn one!" 'After I failed to find one myself down the Ruins, haha', she quietly adds in her mind.

HM-things first, then Shiva can and will ask Annabelle for a word. The natural fae-enthusiast makes a 'It's no big deal'-handgesture when being asked about FLY. "Ah, I'm very fine to let some of your key staff have this move on their Pokemon, seeing ow useful it is. But, uh, I guess you'd have to ask Nathan's dad as well since he brought the HM to us in the first place." Now concerning CUT: "That's agreable and I'm up for that, since I wished to settle down in this region anyway if all goes well. If said contract would allow me or Ginger Town's Daycare Owners to burrow it for breeding purposes, even better. But, haha, that's neither here nor now since journey's not over, but I'll gladly come back to that offer in due time!"

Concerning SURF, Shiva hsitantly shakes her head. "O-only partially! The Mistlord brought it to us, but since there was no PC around we were only able to teach it to Pokemon we hand on hand at the moment. There are a few more on my PC that I'd like to learn this move! Please, may I use the HM once more if possible? Do you have a PC around here I can use?"

The following Pokemon of Shiva will learn SURF

Vaporeon, Azu and big Furret. Especially the waterly Eeveelution appears happy about that move, she can't wait to use it.

While already on it, CUT also goes to Gloom, big Furret, Tropius, Purrloin, Umbreon and Primal Espeon.

Holding the Pokball containing the latter in her hand, Shiva opens up about why she came here to see a League Representative/Official in the first place. "That's likely no business of your department, but I heard that Law Enforcement of the League uses especially trained Espeon to detect lies in court. I've got a very special Espeon that I raised... Can you point me to someone responsible for said training please?"

You fly to the Nature Preserve. There are signs everywhere stating the rules - no catching or battling without a permit, no taking any samples, leave only footprints and take only memories, that sort of thing. 

The native Creshireans, the Mamo tribe, are occasional hunters in this area, though they mostly keep to the south and Arrowroot village.

But there's someone with complete disregard for the rules about battling. The League looks the other way due to her fierce protection of the area and the way she demolishes any poachers. If the occasional pink Pokemon goes missing, well, it's a small price to pay. 
A vision of loveliness, even when hopping over puddles and streaked with mud, becomes apparent from your vantage point beneath Luna. She's dressed in a fine riding skirt, girded about her waist for easier movement.

Spira lands at a nearby spot and tries to sneak up on her, covering her eyes with his hands if he succeeds. (Stealth roll: Dex(5*)+Survival(5)+Stealth(3)= 13D6)
Here's hoping she doesn't know any throwing techniques (judo, etc.)

In the Skull Ruins, we see some kind of Kadabra group who those crystals to transform human and Pokemon in Kadabras too. We managed to save some of the transform ones. Breaking the curse of those people could be a start to Doublade as someone worth?"

"There also some Pokemon I rescued who was in a jail by those Kadabras. I free them sending them to my PC."

With Cosh: "So the battle isn't over...Is they gonna cause ruckus like before Cosh? Is the Scimitars will continue to cause problems? After everything we been through, don't tell me you gonna do World Domination thing."

"So you heard...You Scimitars don't scieze to amaze me. Like I say Cosh, Moltres is not my servant or tool. He is my partner. And I his guardian. Whatever you think Moltres can give you are wrong. The Egg was trust to me to guarded, love and protect. Not as a combustible to my Earthpower Flames." 

To show his point, Heart snap his fingers, and summon a flame in his hand. "Unlike those gautlets of yours who steal power from the Pokemons, this power I can summon by my own efforts." He disperse the flame. "What Moltres is possible capable in give me?"

"World domination? Too much fighting to get there. Too much work once you're there. No, we're after something subtler. The world will know our name, though!"

"Moltres is a flame, and can give of itself without becoming diminished. 'No candle loses anything by lighting another candle.' It's just one way to awaken your own potential in Earthpower, Heart. If you're interested, look into it. You can start by talking to my Muggle friend Chorizo. He lives in Stair City, in a quaint little house underneath the Grand Staircase toward Botanville. He knows a lot about legendary Pokemon."

Golda applauds and gives the fluffy Infiltrator a great big hug. "I'm not surprised at the bond between you two. Maybe at how fast it was forged. Aww, look at his lovely wings! He's come so far. He still has a lot ahead of him for us. I hope you'll be willing to lend Dizzy to us when we have need of him, after all this Scimitar/Almanac dust settles. I'm sure he'll have time for both goals. Eh?"

"I'm sure he'll manage to find time for both.  If possible, though, I would like to assist him at times.  Potentially dangerous work, I know, but if I can help out in some way when it's appropriate, I'd be happy to do so."

Nathan crosses his arms.  "Of course, I don't expect the Scimitars are quite done with Creshire yet. The dust cloud from this current mess is probably only going to get thicker until it's as hard to see through as the one that surrounds Bo's pokemon all the time.  Cosh wasn't even one of the big time leaders of the organization.  And the Water Scimitars are still out there, too, planning something...and I doubt it's any good since it apparently involves a book as sinister sounding as the Croconawmicon..."

"That's very very true. Sigh... I'm sure we'll have a job for you, Shiva, and Dizzy."

"You'll have to choose whether you want the Medal of Bravery or the Medal of Discovery. And I can't make any guarantees even once you express a preference."



Good news! The gift of Deoxys has completely vanished from your mind. With intense meditation, it might be possible to reawaken that feeling... but who would want to do that?...

"Hm...what is gotten from gaining either of them, if my friends and I do get our Medal of choice? Can't make good decision without being fully informed of details, so tell me please."

"They both come with a cash reward and some minor benefits, but really they are just to recognize different things. The Medal of Bravery entitles you to a seat on Annabelle's advisory board, giving input on how League battles can be conducted in the future. Bravery recipients tend to be invited to hero's feasts, military balls, and of course important exclusive League battles. The Medal of Discovery entitles you to invitations to scientific conventions and so on, and you might be invited on expeditions. Nathan, your father is a Medal of Bravery recipient, and Terra, have you met Professor Laurelin? She has THREE Medals of Discovery. I myself received just one Medal of Discovery, for my work with Bill on improved item storage. Speaking of which, he told me he's got something cooking he thinks will earn him another one. But I digress. Battlers covet the Medal of Bravery, because if you let a Pokemon hold it they become stronger offensively. Medal of Discovery makes them more insightful and makes their field moves more useful."

Keni appreciates you checking up, but says he doesn't make Cards on command. He waits for inspiration to strike.

"Also...why you telling me these information? I know I said we could be allies in the future, but you telling me so much information it's a bit suspicious to say the least. Remember: We were enemies before. Me and my friends hit you Scimitars in your Almanac business. Then why?"

"Sorry about my caution, but life teach me to be careful. And if you Scimitars do something again who could prejudice inocent people or Pokemon, I might need to step in your path. I made a oath to Landorus to protect nature, and spread the word of Earthpower. And this includes people and Pokemon."
