[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Quote:(...) Pass this message on to the others, along with the fact that there is no need to worry about me.

Shiva does exactly that at the earliest opportunity, telling those she can reach out to directly in person and those she can't electronically/via message. Instead of saying that he's off to visit 'his lost girlfriend that got revived by a wish' Shiva midfully tells that he's visiting 'someone important that he is rather close to'.

To Spira himself she sends a short message to wish him and Leigh the best of luck and happiness, and a hope to see one another again once. 'Take care and stay safe, senpai! ~♡'

Heart sights for a moment. "Well...I suppose this is it...Be ready for anything Fate." Heart than knock the door and wait for a response.

The door opens, and candles light up from the doorway to a sand-covered floor. These candles are the only light, and a man sits surrounded by geometric shapes drawn in the sand. As soon as you step inside the steel chamber, even before you close the door, the clamor of the city stops. It is very quiet. You can hear only the rustle of clothing and the breathing of yourself and Chorizo.

Right now, Heart calm himself. Fate was in Heart shoulder, looking at the man. "Heya. You must be Chorizo correct? My name is Heart. Cosh had mentioned you could help me in unlock my Earthpower potential." Heart ignite his hand. "I do not here to cause problems, but wanted to see if it is true or not." Then Heart end the flames in his hand. "Can you do it?"

Chorizo ceases his meditation. Instantly, the rattling sounds of the city return in force, no longer warded off by his meditation.

"I can. I help all who ask for it, no matter who they are. For one who is already as blessed as you, I can teach you to unlock the ability to draw on the strength a Pokemon has. Make you more in tune with your aeons-old element, Fire. The road will be difficult and long, but if you stick through to the end you will see firepower held within your own two hands to rival that of a living Moltres. There will be sacrifices and hard work if you become my pupil, but no more than you'd experience with any ability worth learning."

When you connect to Whimsicott with the Tao Amulet, you suddenly feel your awareness spread through a very long and intricate maze of fiber. You're whisked away on a long, filamentous journey through cell after cell of cotton thread, all connected in a single long labyrinthine line that curves back on itself and weaves between passages you've already explored. Just one path, with no forks or breaks. Moments later, your awareness zooms out on its route back to you and you realize something. That one path that felt long enough to connect all the cotton in the world, was only a fraction of Whimsicott's fluff. Though each thread is so long that it makes up a huge percentage of the fluff, her body is actually made of several dozen of these seemingly-infinite threads. It's not like human hair at all!

The belt is worth a lot because, like the Medals, people will recognize the wearer as a person of great honor. Call it $25,000. Can certainly be crafted.

The Unown have 4 Loyalty and 5 Disobedience, making them generally safe but not great in battle. As if you'd use a single Unown in battle anyway.
The four of them together are enough to use Hidden Power with a small amount of effectiveness, creating small illusions or conjuring tricks of similar strength to Azu. They are especially good at summoning ORE.

Shiva blinks and shakes her head to clear her mind upon her awareness having returned to her person, then she smiles very widely and picks Whimscott up into her arms to give her a warm and fond cuddle. "That... That was pretty cool, I was able to experience how your fluffy cotton is constructed for very short, my dearest! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶ So very different from my restive hair, aww!~~" She's already really liking this amulet, obviously.

Withdrawing the black part from her fluffball's neck, the next Pokemon Shiva wishes to connect to is Primal Espeon. "I'd like to know what's going on in your extraordinaire mind, as well to see what it's like to be such an extra-adaptive Pokemon like you!" ^_^

Aww Iron, you accidently missed to reply to me on
Quote:Next!~ Another Master Tutor Shiva's eager to visit is the one who specializes in Ice Type moves - Where would that Tutor be located, probably in Ginger Town since the local Gym Leader is Zamboni with his Gym being an ice rink?? (Source)
unless it's an auto-agree from your side? Either way, here's what Shiva visits that Tutor for in a flashforward:

"No. Nothing like that. Just a sacrifice of lost time. And your eyes may be opened to things you wish you hadn't seen. We journey to Charring Cross. On foot. Remove your shoes and follow me."

He leaves his house immediately, leaving the door wide open.

When your consciousness is couched within Primal Espeon, you can share his lie detecting ability! All the fine hairs on the back of your neck stand up, and they bend this way and that to judge the truth of everything you hear.
Oh, in this form you also notice something else: Espeon's mental voice, that he uses to talk to himself? It speaks Common. A very simplified version, but recognizably Common words.

Zamboni does know the Master Move Tutor for Ice. They live on a peak in the Great Divide, due south of Ginger Town. "Her name is Farore. You see that peak? She lives in a small cabin up there. It's a hard climb involving ropes, ice picks, oxygen tanks, and so on. Or you could just use FLY! You should still borrow one of my oxygen tanks, though."

Farore indeed lives in a cozy cabin. The roof is a combination of sloping portions, creating a miniature ski slope with Gogoat and Skiddo all over it. Farore is up there too, training them in her rather thin-looking and bedraggled parka.

She calls down the Aurora from the night sky to do your Vaporeon's bidding.
In contrast, for Freeze Dry she simply shows Delibird how her freeze drier works on some jerky. "The potential was in you all along, Delibird."

Instead of cash, she requests an equivalent value in supplies. She gives you a shopping list and teaches the moves when you get back.

If you're 9XP short of a move, you can just pay the price as if it's a 9xp move.

Well, he IS being humble, but there's more to this than that.

Though that uncomfortableness is very, very quickly replaced by pure shock as Ventus proposes his first 'favor'.  Nathan can't help but stare at Ventus for a few minutes, wide eyed.

...that was one of the last things he'd expected Ventus to ever say...and even Gallade is at least a little surprised, too.

Still staring at Ventus, and almost completely ignoring Shiva and everyone else, Nathan can't help but ask, "...who are you, and what have you done with Ventus?"

Well, it doesn't take much for Nathan to put two and two together, given he was paying close attention to the details of the group's requests to Syrentide when he could.  He still doesn't have all the details, obviously, but there's enough to know the two events are likely related.

Nathan has nothing to verbally comment, regardless of if he's told this in person or over a text, but he wishes Spira the best all the same.  Maybe he'll run into Spira later if he heads to Sinnoh for one reason or another...

That's a LOT of stuff.  Whew.

That Tao amulet is definitely getting hung on Nathan's necklace.  The white half of the amulet definitely makes a good contrast with the Mutios effigy.  As yin and yang always come in pairs, the other half goes on the necklace with the Aotius effigy, which is currently being worn by Gallade since it's got the Galladeite set in it.  Nathan doesn't really have a pressing need to understand Gallade even further, but maybe the results will be interesting all the same...

The Secret Power TM that's in the pile definitely piques Nathan's interest.  While not a super strong move, it's a unique, rare TM that's hardly seen outside of Hoenn, and the myriad effects can potentially be quite impactful in the right situations...it's cool enough that he might share it...maybe.  He'll have to think about it and experiment a little with it himself...

Ooh boy, rare cards as mementos.  Neat.  Looks like the packs were custom packaged, too, given the contents reflecting parts of the group's adventures via some of the pokemon encountered.  Dagny must have passed on the word of some of those exploits to get this arranged.

The Unown...a bit unnecessary for them to spell out HERO all the time in Nathan's opinion...but well trained Unown are also REALLY hard to come by, and getting them to behave in larger numbers is definitely a little difficult...their particular skills and behaviors are notable, at least...even a minor plot device is still a plot device, so hey, that's kinda cool.

Bibarel...hmmm...Nathan's not sure exactly what he's going to do with a beaver pokemon that knows Cut, Strength, Rock Climb, Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Whirlpool, and Rock Smash (Bibarel can't learn Fly, Defog, nor Flash, so that's about as complete as the set's gonna get unless Bibarel has some Surprises up its sleeves)...it would probably make getting around the region on foot quite a lot easier, though.  And maybe there are some other things that Nathan could use that Bibarel for...

Tumbleweed's Gym Leader wants a word, eh?  Well, they won't have to wait long to talk to Nathan at least.  He's planning to pay them a visit soon.  Not today, though.  He's gonna take it easy after he's talked with Dagny about those important topics...(by the way, what would Nathan know of them beforehand?  They're the only gym leader I haven't gotten any information on yet).

Whoa.  Sacred Ash.  That's something that Nathan never thought he'd get a chance to even see in his life, let alone hold a bag of.  That's...wow.  A true treasure for sure...it's almost too valuable to use.  Well, hopefully nobody will have to use it...cuz if so, then things will have probably gone real bad, real quickly...the rest of the Legendary treasures are great as well.  So much historical value in these...Nathan will have to find somewhere safe to put them later...

Gold belt?  Wait a second, that sounds familiar...didn't Anaster and his supposed buddies have those as well?

Fan letters?  Probably from a lot of people the group doesn't know personally.  Are there any names that Nathan would recognize, though?

As for Mallorn's final comment, Nathan has an...interesting response.  "We'll be keeping an eye out for sure, if only because we seem to keep running into them.  Just gonna ask out of curiosity, though, have you ever tried asking any major League officials about ones they've run across?"

--------------------------------------------------

Nathan has one more thing he'd like to ask of Dagny before leaving her office (and subsequently running into Ventus just outside it).

"Can you keep your eyes and ears peeled for word of Kelda and where she might have gone, Dagny?  I'd like to be the first to know if and when she turns up again if I don't find her myself.  Probably won't be too hard to track her down since I doubt many people with only one hand are hanging around, but every little bit of intel will probably still help."
