[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
ooo, I like the idea of the glass pyre. When you build that, you can feel the curiosity of Moltres amplified a little.

With your Pokemon roaring, and a human clutching a Doublade in each hand facing them down, the Helioptile all retreat. Charmander bravely faces you down, feinting toward the root pile. You cross the Doublade blades in front of it, defending those roots with a barrier of steel. One twitch from you and Charmander backs off immediately.

The rest of the night, Doublade hangs over your fortress' doorway, maximizing his Happiness. This is what a Doublade lives for! And he keeps it all guarded all night.

In the morning, you find Chorizo's tracks outside in the sand. As soon as you glance at them, a wind picks up and wipes them away.

Fine and dandy to me! Terra would greatly appreciate a steady food supply for his lab's Pokemon/experiments , as he's well learned in the wilds that without good eatings, you don't have much of a good life!

As for the Almanac Tech avaliable he was searching for, he'll buy the amount he needs up (Including the Restraints) and get the miscellaneous stuff concerning Fossil Revivification for Laurelin to gift to her later. It'll all probably be quite expensive, and the thought of using disciplinary devices of the amoral research corp's makes him mentally cringe, but it's all required for the experimentation and modification of Arete + other Bug Types, and its better to have Restraint technology just in case things go awry during research. Safety and precautions are paramount in any business, let alone Pokemon Research!

Have a couple of other Items the sagely monk would be interested in buying from Almanac's liquidation sale, if they have it: some kinds of chemical synthesizers/dispensers (for the mixing of chemical compounds/formulas/etc that will no doubt be used in researcher), and private servers he can hook up in his lab to keep all the research data it make nice, secured, and on site. Oh, and also an Almanac Pokedex, as while he has his own 'Dex already he'd be curious to see what their version has to say about the various currently known Pokemon in existence - might give him some ideas to research, even.

That'll be it for Stair, so all that remains is taking care of the Gym Leader meeting in Tumbleweed before his day is done! Now that I think about it, though, he'd probably send a text/message to Jerry and request they build a special hidden enclosure for Arete in his lab for her/it to rest in and be experimented upon away from the rest of the Pokemon/prying public eyes (if he already hasn't).
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Mixers and computers are included in the base price of your lab. For an Almanac dex, ask Shiva how much she paid for hers (think it was just over what Mallorn charges) and cut it in half due to their bankruptcy.

All the equipment mentioned in the previous post can be purchased for 10k total.

In the morning, you find Chorizo's tracks outside in the sand. As soon as you glance at them, a wind picks up and wipes them away.

Heart take a last look on the Helioptile and Charmander. He turn his back and return to the shelter. In the next morning, he get his things prepared. All his six Pokemon was outside.

"Alright everyone. I shall deliver some simple orders. Gustav, Viktor and Quetzal. You three stay in the shelter to protect it. A tree and crustacean Pokemon on a desert is not exactly a good thing, so you stay here close to the water source to keep you three hydrated."

"Quetzal. I doubt there is a thing bigger than you in this desert, so you probably the strongest predator here. I leave this place to your protection."

"Me, Rose, Koa and Lancelot we going to hunt. Those roots will take a while to grow to become food. So we might need to find meat to have some extra energy. We not going to hunt very far, but in case things get nasty in your side, you Gustav will launch Dragon Pulse in the sky. Even from a distance, we will see and run towards your location."

"Quetzal, in case things get dangerous, take Gustav and Viktor with you and fly away in the sky to us alright?"

"Viktor, I know there is not trees in this desert, but try to use your power over nature to keep the soil enough health to make the roots grow fast."

Heart turn his attention towards Rose and Koa. "You two as been with me for quite a long time. Let's let you two learn Hidden Power and see what kind of power will awake…"

Heart kinda hope Koa hidden power could be something strong enough to deal with his main weakness: Fairies. Heart promised to Shiva Koa and Cottonee would fight again. And he will keep that promise. Heart also carry Moltres Egg with inside the bag.

Koa's Hidden Power
Koa croons sweet calls. The magnificence of his presence makes other Pokemon want to obey him, overwhelmed by his Draconic presence. But the intent is traitorous, toxic. As Koa curls his tail around the foe, whispering in their ear, he betrays them.
Koa's Hidden Power is a 3-power Poison-type move that poisons the target.

Rose's Hidden Power
Rose's first instinct is to look out for Heart and others who are less surefooted than her. When Rose uses Hidden Power, she buffs herself and uses that power to protect others.
She gains +1 Dex and +1 Str, and removes one status from an ally.

Chorizo appears as you are testing these moves. "You used Earthpower to defend your own resources. Did you consider that you could have used it to multiply the bounty of the earth, and share it with those hungry Pokemon? For Earthpower is exactly that - bounty. It represents the boundless resources Nature can create, seemingly out of thin air. That's exactly where plants get their mass - thin air. Carbon. But where does a Charmander get his flame? From Earthpower itself, which is all around us, formless. However you use it, that is up to you. I don't judge. You will find that it comes more easily to certain uses than to others."

"Well, Heart. You seem to be adept at learning in the desert. Shall we train here more, or move on to other tasks?"

Mesprit smiles back, with a touch of sadness or concern. It will make more people smile than you know, to reunite this trio. You sense that there will be danger when you do, however.

Hmmmm...well then, before we start, Nathan has another question for Mesprit.  "Danger, huh?  Should I get some of the others to help before we attempt this?  Or do you think we'll be able to handle it ourselves?  If ya have any clue what we should be expecting, I'd love to know that, too.  The more prepared we are, the better."

Heart see Chorizo words and felt bad about it. Heart grab the roots and call Quetzal. "...You right Chorizo. I wanted so badly to defend that I forget others need it. Before I continue our training, I have a Charmander to find. At least I owe him that." He returns the other Pokemon. "You know those Helioptile and Charmander is Chorizo? I need to find them and help those Pokemon...if you don't want to say, me and Quetzal gonna find ourselves."

Mesprit sends you a feeling of personal loneliness, to show that more folks could help.
However, you get the sense that there will be a bit of time.
You get a taste of Mesprit's disgust with careless humans - perhaps a hint of what you'll face.
