Ohhh, Kee likes that sort of humor. He's also happy that FOR ONCE the semi-cyborg ninja did not answer in a super-serious manner, and it shows by Kee giving him a sly smile. "Oh, good equipment I - actually all of us - have, we had our time to prepare for that trip, didn't we~~ Eyeballs with a god-like vision would be useless too if I were to keep 'em in mah bag, nah... And they'd make a total mess, that too." He then playfully shivers a little, then just laughs in a melodic way.

Before he gives Kogeki a questioning look, this time without sarcasm. "Aha. And why d'ya want to cut off a piece of a creature - Pokemon - spoken 'bout in legends or worshipped as a god? Some sort of treasure for ya to keep?"

Ran would jolt slightly at the unexpected contact, and give the colorful musician a raised eyebrow for it and being their usual whimsical way, but he'd accept the tea without complaint, nodding when they also offer to spike it with some good o' alcohol.

"Yes, please. I need some libation after all the harrowing fights I've gotten into. Fought a Tyrantrum, a rampaging Shadow Gyarados, Shadow Mandibuzz and Shadow Rhyperior, and all of the were terrible, nasty bastards to fight. *Smirks* Well, except the Gyarados. Between Espeon's help and my girls Diam and Paula's debilitating tactics, we manage to subdue that big carp beast  unscathed. That was gratifying as hell, let me tell ya!"

Their talk of that singing being connected to that avalanche he head earlier nearly made him chock on his tea mid-swig, causing him to hack a few time before shooting him a look of alarmed intrigue.

"Wait, that darn singing caused that avalanche, and it almost got your little group swallowed up?! *Pinches nose in frustration* Gottverdammt. Shouldn't have brushed off both when it happened.... *Sighs* To answer you question, yes, I did, in case you couldn't tell. My group didn't get caught up in one, but some other fellow did. Found traces of his existence in the aftermath of an old avalanche, then we ended up tracking him down and saving his hide from falling straight off a cliff. He went by the name Johnathan, and he was some rich and fancy Fire type collector and breeder of sorts. Bit of a eccentric, but he was a nice enough gentleman. Scizors helped get him out of the Dungeon with that Badge of their's , so he's safe and sound by now, assuming he can make it back to civilization." (...)

That means one cup of black tea enhanced with some nice gin, Kee's happy to share one with that grumpy blacksmith.

Him recounting which feral Pokemon he fought earns him a expression that's best described as 'suprised with a bit of appreciation, some worry and a hint of amazement', Octavia also raises her head from Kee's lap to throw a curious glance at Ran. "Ah. That's quite a number of Shadowmon ya met 'nd fought.... But if ya managed to get away 'n purified 'em all, maybe ya've got a knack for 'em, that's pretty cool~"

The following recap, from how Ran's group heard that ominous singing too over noticing the avalanche that almost buried Kee's group too how they recued some Fire Type Enthusiast from certain death by falling down a cliff, is followed by Kee with quite the attention. Then he falls into pleasant silent as he appears to think about all that, especially about that eerie singing. Eventually: "Johnatthan, and a fan and semi-breeder of Fire Types.... "....I'm not entirely sure. She's real Skittish, paranoid, and a tendency to be a wee bit more independent in her decision making than I like, but she doesn't seem all that adverse to company. We can do little meet-up between the two, if you want to find out for yourself, but if anything goes awry 'cause of it I'm holding you accountable. As for your idea, I think it has some merit. Amethyst's talents haven't been too useful in navigating this Dungeon or detecting danger in advance, but she's been able to pick up something nebulous, if her behavior 'round me after my fight with that Shadow Mandibuzz was any indication. I'll see if I can't fit her in my Party's lineup for the next Floor, alright?"

Ohhh, going straight to letting the two dark prophets meet one another - how bold, Kee definitely considers that. "Well yes, but actually no... Not right now, that is. That new Absol of mine went through me pursuing 'em - which they obvious disliked  - to fightin' 'gainst me, being KO'd and purified, then captured, guess that's enough action for a day. But I gladly get back to that idea 'nd offer, yes! If anythin' goes awry despite security measures, I'll take responsibility 'nd am to blame, naturally."

Octavia curiosity doesn't go unnoticed by Ran as he sips his fortified tea, but he doesn't do anything about it other than return it with what would be a familiar calm and searching look of his own. Unlike the other times he did this to the sparkling fairy, this time there was a flash of....something in his own gaze that caused him to frown ever so slightly and it to become thoughtful too and even more searching. Like he discovered something , and is trying to find out more about it....

Kee's comment drags him out of his introspective staring contest with Sylveon, with him blinking a bit before shaking his head slightly as he replied.

"Yes. Too many, if ya ask me. Just 'cause I can well woop the toughest and scariest Pokemon hind ends doesn't mean I want to constantly be tussling with them. I'm no battle junkie trying to get his fix of a stimulating Fight by going after challenging monster after challenge monster. I just happen to end up doing so 'cause I don't want them making problems for me or any of us later down the line 'cause I decided to leave them to their own devices. Called being responsible and cautious, and bah on anyone that thinks otherwise!"

The midget miner doesn't have much more to say about the dandy gentleman, nor Kee's own commentary about them, but he does nod back to them at their praise, looking just a bit more satisfied with the good deed he did.

"*Nods* Alright.  Tell me when you've come to a decision, preferably before we break camp tomorrow. I'll let you know then if Amethyst will be on my line-up too, so I won't leave you in the Dark about it. "

If that everything they want to talk about, then Ran will continue his rounds of checking on everyone else before going onto his other tasks during camp!

When Kee question Kogeki why he would keep such thing as a piece of a god, he was silent. Like a predator waiting the prey to do a mistake. He then look to his own hand and said. "Not for treasure. More like...Revenge. Not because of my arm or face...but for someone I lost long ago. Someone that I love more than Earth and Heaven itself...and it was taken away from me..."

"And when you lost everything you care, you beg for god. Or gods. To have that person back. Even willing to offer your own life..."

Then Kogeki turn his back and look at Kee. Eyes filled with sadness...but also wrath against all creation.

"You know what was the answer Aotios and Mutios gave me?"

He drawn his sword, and then destroy the closest statue head. "Silence. Only silence."

He then return the sword in his belt. "...If I find the bastard responsible, I will make him scream in agony. And then pierce my blade in his heart...Whatever he is. Human. Demon. God. Doesn't matter...And if I can't save her...Not even Gods will be safe from my hatred. I will sent all of them to hell."

He then try to find a place to rest and recover his strength.

Edit: Also Kogeki summon Cleffa and give Kee Absol a Heal Pulse.

He drawn his sword, and then destroy the closest statue head.

When Kogeki strikes the statue, the sword just bounces off of the stone.  The statue isn't even scratched.

It's difficult to smash rock with a sword that thin in the first place, but the fact that the Kangaskhan statue isn't even scratched by the attack is exceptionally odd.

(@Spiritmon : Me thinks that was the point, mate. Kogeki's Sword not doing anything to a rock statue is dramatic in its own right, even if its anticlimatic at the same time. Shows that it's out of the ordinary, you know?)

Lucas nods when everyone says they're sticking this out until the end.  "Alright then.  I have no doubt in my mind we all have good reason to be here.  Let's do our best, and end whatever the source of all of this trouble is."  He says no more on that topic of turning back, though there is a slight smile on his face as he turns to conduct his own business.

- First, he wants to make sure everyone that was not in his mini-group is fine, and help out if necessary. If anyone wants to talk with my character, this would be the time to do so.
- Second, he'll want to check on how Paula's doing, now that he has the time and is in a safe enough spot to do so, couching down to examine her closely and with concern. "Paula, how ya feeling? Did that Fight with that Rhyperior wear ya out, or was it all the battles before that? And how's ya voice too? Any better, now that you've had a little rest...?
- Third, he'd want to check on his Portable PC for any Items/Messages he got from Alman, Roark, and his friend back in Canalave City . Its been a few days since he sent out his gifts to them, so they probably have sent him some brief messages back, and he's curious to know if that Amber he found in Snowpoint Temple had any DNA that Roark could get revivified !
- Forth, he'd want to check out the cave the group's in for any goodies or unusual stuff the others may have missed . He's the resident cave expert, so its possible he could turn something of interest up!
- Fifth and finally (for now), he'd want to have a private chat with Lucas once everything has settled down for the time being. He'd be discrete about asking for it, as he doesn't want to attract unnecessary attention to it from the rest of the group. Depending on the outcome of this he might have more to do with him, so I'll just leave it at the conversation for now.

- Paula nods.  She's feeling better.  She's still finding it hard to sing, but her voice should return with a little more rest.

- Randolph does actually have some messages from Alman, Roark, and his friend!  He must have received them before entering Mt. Coronet.
     - Thanks for the jewelry, Wolfe!  Looks real pretty, I have to say!  Reminds me of a particular day all those years ago...that gemstone's as clear as diamond!  Ya haven't forgotten what I told ya right before you left, right?  Don't forget!  
     - Oh wow, Moon Stone!  And that Amber!  Where'd ya find these beauties?  I did some analysis on it, and the Amber contained Aerodactyl DNA!  I had the museum revive it for you since you asked, then sent it to your PC.  I imagine they've probably arrived by the time you've seen this message.  Be careful, those flying terrors are quite the handful!  Oh, and thanks for the gift!  (this message is found as a hold item equipped to said Aerodactyl.  The other two are just letters in Randolph's inbox)
     - For me?  Randolph, you shouldn't have.  Honestly, I have no idea what the heck I'm going to do with this beautiful necklace.  Thank you.  I'll try not to work too hard.  (Randolph isn't certain that's actually going to happen, though)

...are those...traces of coal veins?  Odd.  Mt. Coronet isn't known for having coal deposits...it's unmistakable, though.  There's traces of coal in the walls.

- Lucas keeps it brief at first.  Sally is over by Scizor, translating for the bug (much to her continued dismay).  "Randolph.  Need something?"

Aww THAT's certainly enough for Karen to earn a welcoming and equally tender and teasing ruffle through her hair from Kee, Octavia's also delighted to see the nice lady with her empathy and differently colored eyes again and is quick to up run to her for some strokes and pets. <3

"Well, not QUITE tha Stairs, Karen-dear.....~" *points to the Kanga-Statue/Rock*, " ...But something that's 'ppearantly EQUAL to tha Stairs." *charming and dear smile* "'n what about YOUR wanderi' 'cross this floor, did everythin' went well, found nice stuff or spotted curious Pokemon without feral or shadowy ones messing with you, Ran, Rui an' Scizors?~" (Potential cue for her to tell about the loot including the Big Nuggets they've found)

Karen definitely pets Octavia.  She purrs appreciatively.

Kee's mention of finding 'nice stuff' jogs Karen's memory.  "Oh yeah!  We met a really nice gentleman, and he gave us some rewards for saving his life!  Here, this one's for you!  I have one for you too, Kogeki!"

Karen hands both Kee and Kogeki a Big Nugget.  (@Spiritmon)

"We also got some TMs, and Randolph got this really weird looking, red tablet...I think it was important, but I'm not sure why..."

When the steely explorer of a Bug Type starts 'doing something with that Kanga-Statue', Kee's curiosity has been awoken and he watches them with interest. Once they're done, he's carefully yet with some honest interest in his voice ask them: "Soooo Scizors... Mind to maybeh update me what these Kanga-Rocks are actually good for? How can they benefit us, how to 'use' 'em? Ya're sayin' that we're SAFE here... Safe for long enough to catch up on some sleep? It'd be...weird as heck if they're just 'there' without a cert'n purpose, or so I'd guess.... Just call me curious, 'nd yar tha EXPERT 'bout these Mystery Dungeons 'fter all~" Sally's asked to translate like before if needed, of course.

Scizor taps the Explorer Badge, then talks to Sally, who translates.  Scizor says that this area should be safe enough for us to rest here for the night.  These Kangaskhan Statues mark safe havens of sorts according to him.  He also mentioned that he's...marked the statue somehow with his badge.  If we end up getting ejected from the dungeon somehow, we'll return to this waypoint instead of the dungeon's entrance...apparently.

"Mind to give that very Absol of mine a nice Heal Pulse? Please?~~ Just one for tha obvious wounds, some good rest will do tha rest, I just don't wish for 'em to suffer unnecessarily, ya see?"

If the semi-cyborg ninja agrees, said Ex-Shadow-Absol sitting at 1HP is summoned by Kee and carefully explained that they'll receive some initial treatment for their injuries via a Heal Pulse, after that they're allowed and even encouraged to rest. They're also offered some qualitative food (Gourmet Food in particular mixed with some dried berries and sugary treats that Kee always carries with him) and fresh water to regain some strength. How do they react to that and to Kee in general, Dragonstrike?

Absol is very groggy when Kee summons her.  She weakly nods in response, slowly eats, and carefully drinks some water, but Kee's not entirely sure she's completely put together right now, as she doesn't seem to be reacting very strongly to anything in particular right now.  Maybe some rest will help her recover her strength and senses.

Ohhhhh, one more thing!~ Dragonstrike (sorry for another ping, just to make sure it's not missed), what Kee also does at some point is gently asking Stella to user her Secret Power, just because he's curious whether/what an effect will be triggeed if used within this curious cave.

When Stella tries to use Secret Power...

...nothing happens at all!  No matter how hard Stella tries, she can't make an opening in the wall or enlarge the room.  It's almost as if it's been set to be a certain size that won't change...but that'd be silly if it was true, right?  Maybe it just isn't working because this is already a safe haven of sorts.

Okay, going in order they happened in....

- Ran's obviously relieved that his little sea sprite is alright, gracing her with a warm smile and patting her on the head. "That's good, very good. Thought for a moment all those hard 'n brutal fights I put you through 'caused ya some serious fatigue and strain, but I'm glad to see it didn't. *Chuckles* You're quite the hearty for little girl like yourself, aren't ya? Well, that'll serve you greatly, as we're not done yet with this mountain full o' madness. The challenges and beasties ahead will be getting tougher, so best prepare yourself for it, Paula. *Smiles* I'll be there for you as always, rest assure of that."

He'd finish up his check up/small pep talk with another friendly/comforting head pat before returning her for some rest (or leaving her out, if she prefers sleeping around Ran for the moment). If he has the time and material for it, though, I'd like Ran to make a nice pretty red bow accessory for Paula, as the thought struck him she'd look all the more precious wearing something like that, and it be another way to show he cared about her.

- The scruffy smith's thoughts on his old friend Alman's message got a happy, fond chuckle out of him, glad to hear that his gift brightened their day. Their reminder of that elicits a scoff and a snort, as of course he would. How'd he forget something important as that? Still, its good to have that on the forefront of his mind going forward, so he's still grateful for the minder they gave him all the same!

Roark's message's first few lines gets more chuckles out of him, this time accompanied by a grin. He knew they'd love those earthen beauties he sent him. His expression quickly shifts from delight to intrigue and then excitement as they told him his Amber ended up bearing a Aerodactyl just as he wished! For so long he'd wanted one of them prehistoric flying lizards for ages ever since he decided to become a Trainer, and now he's got one! Sweet ! Getting it to listen to him without it trying to maim or eat anyone was going to be a bit of a ordeal, but if he could become close partners with Zorn and....whatever you call his relationship with Diam, he sure as hell can tame one of the meanest Fossil Pokemon that's known to have exist!

Lastly, his friends response to the lovely necklace he sent them was to *Tsk* at their feigned cluelessness of what to do with his gift ('Wear it, ya silly librarian!') and the high probability they will work themselves to the Cubone (Again) , but he's smiling as he does. To this day, he still doesn't know why his friend decided to....well, befriend a grumpy bastard like him, but he's glad that they did. Who knows where either of them be without each other in their lives? He'd certainly have no clue how to deal with shy, timid sorts of people like Paula and Rui, that's for sure!

He wishes he can message all of them back, but alas he can't, so all he can do is wish that they're doing well, and that after all this job is DONE he can return to them all, safe and sound (or mostly so) ! 

- Seeing that the Statue Room has trace amounts of coal alone would have piqued Ran's interest (and make him even more concerned and irritated with what this cosmic disaster was doing to Mt. Coronet), but coupled with the reminder from Alman and all the stress he's been through lately sparked a certain memory that made eyes widen then darken as he remembered that day. That terrible, horrible day. That day, when that black abomination.....!

The dwarven craftsman's hands tighten like vice grips as he remembered, his nails digging into the palms of his hands and causing them to bleed as he stared at the specks and flakes of coal in the walls.

Maybe....just maybe, it or its kind will be here. Maybe, just MAYBE, he would finally, finally, FINALLY have his revenge on it.....!

Ran would remain like that for a bit until he either snaps out of it on his own or someone notices how odd he was acting, in which case he'll go about treating his self-inflicted injuries and seclude himself a bit to calm himself down before going over to talk with Lucas. In the later case, he might have responses to whomever brings him out of his remembrance, depending on who they are.

Before that, though, since he'd notice Sally on translation duty for Scizors and her usual disdain of it, he'd suddenly get the idea of having his Ditto Transform into her and take over that task for the just anubis for a bit, giving her a break for it. Question is, would Ditto be Revived by the Nurse when Ran goes to have his talk with the champion? (If so, I have a scene planned in that event before that talk)
