[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery
Modrille Round 1

Surf 1
(6)(4)(2)(5)(6)(1)(6) Water pours out of cracks in the ground and walls as Paula sings, summoning the power of a tidal wave in this enclosed space!  Randolph has to back up to avoid being hit by it himself!  Critical hit!
7 - 2/3 + 2 Crit = 7/6 (+1 on Modrille)
(6)(2)(1)(5)(5)(3), (1)
The Modrille all take 4 damage! 2/6 HP -2 Pain
Beethoven takes 2 damage! 4/6 HP -1 Pain

Beethoven screeches, his voice echoing throughout the caves, reminding Randolph of the Chatot the miners used to use as danger signals back in the day.  In particular, he distinctly remembers that one had started screeching right before the incident had occurred, its voice echoing throughout almost all the tunnels of the Oreburgh Mines...

In this particular instance, the Hyper Voice will affect both groups of Modrille.

Hyper Voice 1
(5)(4)(1)(1)(2)(3)(2)(1)(3)
(4)(1)(3)(1)(6)(3)(4) 5 of the Modrille take 2 damage and faint!

Will: (5)(4)(5)(3)

Despite the rest of its group fainting before they could even move, the last one standing bravely presses on.  It strikes out at Beethoven, hoping for an easy KO.  By itself, though, the odds of that happening are slim.

Pursuit 1
9 - 2 - 2 = 5
(4)(4)(5)(3)(1)
2 + 2 + STAB - 2 = 3
(4)(2)(5) Beethoven takes 2 damage 2/6 HP -2 Pain

Paula blows a few bubbles, not particularly worried any more.

Bubble 2
(5)(4)(1)(1)(1)
(6)(3)(1) Modrille takes 2 damage and faints!

Beethoven quiets down and lets out a breath he was holding.  Phew, that was close...

By contrast, Paula's singing rather nonchalantly, which earns her a rather pointed look from the bird.  She could have washed him away with that Surf!

Espeon gives Kogeki a rather deadpan look.  Does he really think that Rui knows if any of her pokemon know Sleep inflicting moves?  Well, Espeon, for one, knows he doesn't!  He has his own battle plan!

Rui timidly stands back with Scizor and lets Espeon do most of the fighting.  She trusts the eeveelution, though she still isn't entirely sure why.

Shadow Kabutops Round 1

Kabutops swipes at the air with both scythe like appendages, creating a tornado of shadows that rips through the allied side.

Shadow Storm 1
3 Spe + 3 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 = 7
(5)(3)(3)(3)(4)(3)(6)
3 + 3 - 3/4 + SE = 3/2 + 1
(4)(5), (3)
Aspido takes 3 damage! 12/15 HP -1 Pain
Gama takes 3 damage! 5/8 HP -1 Pain
Espeon takes 3 damage! 5/8 HP -1 Pain

Aspido's hardly phased by that attack, unlike everyone else, and is almost able to continue fighting as if nothing had just happened.

Giga Drain 1
(5)(5)(4)(3)(1)
(5)(4)(3) Kabutops takes 4 damage! 6/10 HP -1 Pain
Aspido recovers 2 HP! 14/15 HP

Gama uses the shadows in his own way, using them to mask his movements until the opportune moment to strike happens upon him.

Night Slash 1
(6)(4)(1)(5)(1)(2) Gama became Dark type!
(6)(6)(1) Kabutops takes 2 damage! 4/10 HP -2 Pain
(5)

Esepeon, meanwhile, takes defensive action, not liking the look of that swarm of Kabuto.  He's glaring at that Kabutops the entire time.

Reflect 1
12 - 1 - 2 = 9
(5)(5)(6)(6)(1)(5)(1)(1)(5)
A Reflective barrier protects Kogeki and his allies!

Kabutops points a scythed limb at Espeon, perceiving them as a danger.  The Kabuto all focus their attacks on the purple kitty.

Rock Throw x5 1
2 + 3 + 3 - 1 - 2 = 5
(6)(5)(4)(5)(2)
(5)(5)(5)(3)(3)
(3)(3)(1)(1)(1) Miss.

(4)(3)(3)(2)(2)
(4)(5)(6)(2)(5) 4 hits.
3 Str + 2 Pow + STAB - 4 - Ref = 2 - 1
(3)(1)
(2)(2)
(6)(2)
(3)(1) No damage!

Every attack merely bounces off of Espeon's protective barrier.  Frustrated, Kabutops immediately directs the Kabuto to swiftly strike at a different, weaker target before preparing a powerful attack of its own.

Aqua Jet x5 2
8 - 4 = 4
(4)(4)(5)(1)
(4)(5)(1)(2)
(5)(2)(3)(5)
(6)(3)(5)(3)
(5)(6)(6)(6) 5 hits
6 - 2 - Ref = 4 - 1
(6)(4)(5)(6) Gama takes 3 damage 2/8 HP -2 Pain
(6)(5)(3)(1) Gama takes 1 damage 1/8 HP -3 Pain
(6)(1)(4)(4) Gama takes 2 damage and faints before Kogeki can react!
The rest of the Kabutos' attacks strike at Aspido, who's been using Grass type attacks.
(3)(1)(1)
(6)(3)(6) Aspido takes 1 damage 13/15 HP -1 Pain

Rock Slide 2
3 + 3 + 3 - 1 - 2 - 4 = 2
(4)(3)
4 Str + 3 Pow + STAB - 3/4 - Ref = 5/4 - 1 (-1 on Aspido)
(5)(4)(5)(3), (6)
(6)(6)(1)
(6)(2)(1)
Aspido takes 2 damage and Flinches! 11/15 HP - 1 Pain
Espeon takes 2 damage and Flinches! 3/8 HP -2 Pain

Aspido Flinches 2

Espeon Flinches 2

Seeing an opening left by the barrage of attacks, Kabutops ruthlessly lashes out at the pokemon that's done it the most harm.

Slash 3
9 - 2 - 6 = 1
(2)

It misses, however, and Aspido is none to pleased with his shell almost being gouged.  He grabs onto the Kabutops and sloooowwwwwly drains its life force from it.

Absorb 3
(3)(5)
(1) Kabutops takes 2 damage! 2/10 HP -2 Pain
Aspido recovers 1 HP. 12/15 HP -1 Pain

Espeon focuses on the Kabutops once he recovers from Flinching.  Wave after wave of psychic energy buffets the fossil pokemon without stop.

Psychic 3
12 - 2 - 6 = 4
(4)(3)(5)(3)
4 + 3 + STAB + 1 TS - 4 = 5
(1)(2)(3)(3)(2)
(1)

The first Psychic attack bounces harmlessly off of Kabutops's shell, unfortunately.  Espeon looks very annoyed at that, and prepares another attack.

The Kabuto all focus their attacks on Aspido this time, as he definitely seems to be the greatest threat to their leader.  They all crawl onto Aspido's shell and start poking him with their many, many legs.

Leech Life x5
(5)(3)
(5)(1)
(5)(1)

(4)(3)
(4)(2) 5 hits
3 + 3 - 3 + SE - Ref = 3
(4)(4)(1) Aspido takes 2 damage! 10/15 -1 Pain
(6)(5)(2) Aspido takes 2 damage! 8/15 -1 Pain
(1)(1)(3)
(6)(5)(2) Aspido takes 2 damage and eats his Sitrus Berry! 9/15 HP -1 Pain
(6)(6)(2) Aspido takes 2 damage! 7/15 HP -2 Pain

Kogeki uses a Potion on Aspido. 11/15 HP -1 Pain

Another wave of psychic energy blasts Kabutops.

Psybeam 4
(2)(5)
(6)(4)(2)(2) Kabutops takes 2 damage and faints!  The black aura vanishes!

As soon as their leader faints, the Kabutops start to panic and become much, much less coordinated.  They don't flee right away since they still have a numbers advantage, however.

Harvest: (1) No Sitrus Berry for Aspido this time.  He looks a little disappointed.

(Dragonstrike, you forgot a few things: Gama is equipped with Kings Rock, so Night Slash would have 1D6 chance to Flinch. And with Absorb, Aspido would recover 1 HP)
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

(Also, why did those Kabutos could Swarm attacks 2 times exatcly? Shouldn't be the initiative be Kabutops, Aspido, Gama, Espeon and finally the Kabuto Swarm?)

Added the King's Rock.  No Flinch occurred.

Aqua Jet has Priority.

*Checking Bulbapedia of Kabuto* Shit.

But you forgot Absorb. Aspido would recover 1 HP since absorb have the same effects as Mega Drain and Giga Drain.

When the barrier protect everyone from most of the attacks, Kogeki was genuine impress. "Huh. Not bad Esperon. Now, with Kabutops defeated, we can begin our next counter-attack!"

He return Gama. "Gama, you did a great job. Susanoo will finish what we start." Kogeki summon his samurai fish. Before they begin Kogeki make a quick change about items. He change Susanoo Daikatunite for Life Orb.

If not possible the change Dragonstrike, I will Mega Evolve him.

Link to the last Round

The remaining Shadow Lycanroc in Midnight Form is fresh and at -1 Strength.
Draven has dealt out 3 points of damage so far, so Blood Lust Ability should trigger at the next point.
--------------------------------------------------------------

"No, no no no No NO NOOOOOO!" ☆o(><;)○

That was Kee's voice that was echoing through the darkness of the mine, it lost the greatest part of it's melodic aspect to convey anger, frustration and annoyance instead and was heard when this unique Dusk Lycanroc ESCAPED his Dusk Ball. And then AGAIN the very moment Octavia threw an apologizing gaze at her dearest person in the whole world before she couldn't stand on her paws anymore. Add a few crude curses - held-back ones due to Karen being nearby.

Very well then, VERY well -all silently  the faeeveelution's recalled into her old Friend Ball, within the same breath a different one is summoned: From the nice Premier Ball a dragon manifests whose fluff and hair is just as white like the Ball, Kee's Drampa roars and rears up the moment his gaze meets the piercing red eyes of that wolf. "Yar protection's needed Orpheus, Draven's in trouble and this...WOLF OF A DOG's the culprit, please don't let 'em pull of their dirty tricks again ! Oh, Draven, YOU 'f course can 'n shall do so, get their vigor !!"

Orpheus joins the battle to replace Octavia.
If the Trainer's Action come after the Pokemon's, it's impossible to use a Potion on Draven now, but it may not be necessary.

Draven's Actions:

Accuracy Roll Giga Drain 1: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel + Wide Lens - 3 Pain - 2 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 6*Special + 3 power = 9d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Half the damage dealt is restored.

Accuracy Roll Absorb 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel + Wide Lens - 3 Pain - 4 Actions = 4d6
Damage Roll: 6*Special + 1 power = 7d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Half the damage dealt is restored.

Conditional 3rd Action:
Just in case Lycanroc is still standing. It's a Sludge Bomb of 2d6 in Accuracy and 10d6 in Damage.

Drampa's Actions:

He's asked to grant protection to Draven whenever he's targeted by Lycanroc Midnight Form, the difference in height should be big enough (hah, lolz) to make it a FULL protection.

He's going to concentrate on Clashing with his attacks: 4 Special + 4 Fight + 3 Clash = 11d6 as the basic dice pool for that.
- If Lycanroc uses Rock Slide, clash that with a Twister - using a move that hits every foe to clash a move that his every foe likewise sounds cool.
- If Lycanroc uses Shadow Slash, try to clash that with a Dragon Pulse.
- If Lycanroc uses Rock Tomb, clash that with an Extrasensory.
-Any other move will be clashed with a Dragon Pulse.

And just in case he has to attack because there's none to protect anymore, he's going to inflict some burn marks on Lycanroc with a Dragon Rage that will always deal 2 points of damage and has 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Special = 10d6 in its basic Accu Roll.

------------------------------------

The very moment this remaining wolf has been defeated, Kee will:

1. see if Karen is doing a little better now that the sources of her fear has been defeated
2. ask Orpheus to GLARE at all the three Lycanroc to paralyze them
3. catch ALL THREE Lycanroc in normal Pokeballs. It's foolish to leave them here for various reasons - he restrains from verbally asking Karen if she wants to catch one because it is insensitive towards her, but IF she does so and makes him know - then they have to make an arragement beforehand on who catches which form and at best BEFORE Midday Form takes lethal damage from the poison. Kee's priority is Dusk Form > Shiny Midday Form > Midnight Form.

No swapping items mid-battle, so that's gonna be a M-Daikatuna for you!
