[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery

Rui gives Octavia a few absentminded strokes as well.  She doesn't seem to be paying much attention to the pokemon's presence,  but she seems to appreciate the company nonetheless.

Draven seems a lot less grumpy as soon as he sees that purple colored plate.  It's definitely caught his interest, and he 100% wants to hold onto it for a little while.

Espeon, meanwhile, is staring at the plate Karen's examining with intense interest.  "...this is so weird...I feel...drawn to it...and...I have a sense that it wants me to...take it somewhere?  Up, maybe?  Yeah, up...I don't think I have any pokemon on hand that would be able to make use of it, though...hmmmm...oh, were you interested in this item too, Espeon?  Here, why don't you hold onto it for a little while?  Just give it back to me later, okay?"

Espeon purrs in appreciation, and he takes the pinkish colored plate and hands Karen his Twisted Spoon.  He wants that Twisted Spoon back later too, obviously.

Milotic watches with interest, though not because she's particularly attracted by either of the plates she dredged up from underwater.  She speaks up to get everyone's attention.  Well, I do believe that addresses all the important things in this area.  Shall we move on?

"I'm ready to go, yeah.  How about you, Rui?"

"...hm?  Oh, uh...yeah, sure.  Let's keep going.  Can't stay here forever..."

"Nah, I've got it covered, Kogeki.  Alright then, one super powered Wish, coming right up!  Samuel, mind using Water Pulse on Melissa a few times before she does her thing?"

A few rings of water later, and Melissa's back to full health!  She's still lazily yawning, however, and would clearly rather be taking a nap right now.  However, she does as Lucas asks and uses her Wish to heal everyone up.

Melissa spends 3 Will Points.
Sally, Paula, Hazel, Heracross, Nami, and Gama are all fully healed.

Melissa then promptly takes a nap on the spot, tired from fervently wishing for everyone to be healed.

As for exp for the Diamond Steelix encounter, every pokemon that participated gets 12 exp, and every trainer gets a total of 8 exp (6 + 2 heroism).

"Alright, I think that about wraps up our business here, unless we want to use any Heal Pulses before continuing, or try experimenting with those Plates.  Ready to move on, Randolph and Kogeki?"

Ahahahahaha, one moment Kee was presenting this purple plate-thingy to his catbat, the next moment they snatch it outta his hand to hide it beneath their cloak-wings. A jolly smile that means NOTHING good AT AAAALL is given to Kee in thanks, he can't help but to return this smile in his own charming yet mischivous way and pat Draven's head, totally unafraid of their toxicity. "That's tha right attitude!~ Well then, I'm gonna let ya enjoy some more rest for now, make sure to recover well 'nough to be on mah frontline soon enough, gotta keep the poison within you boilin', do we?~~" Draven's smile receives +100% insidiousness, he chirps at Kee before he's being recalled into his comfy Dusk Ball. Back to the virtual reality of a PC Box he also goes, Mercury returns to the active party.

There's that polished Wide Lens made to be worn as a monocle now that Draven handed over in return for that plate - Kee turns it a little in his hand, tries it on himself (without any effect but the realization that it doesn't fit him), lets Octavia sniff at it. Whatacha do with it now..... Awww that's an easy one, it's presented and carefully given to Astoria!~ She blinks at Kee and tilts her head in question as she looks at him with a now monocle'd face. "Suits ya nicely!! (･ω<)☆ Consider THIS mah wae to make amends t'ya, 'kay? I guess ya'll ENJOOOOY how this nice lens will benefit you in combat!~"


Humm... Glancing at the surroundings, Kee also opts to give Orpheus a small break - in return for friendly-granddad-dragon a smol and dear kitsune is swapped in, Stella yawns and shifts within her beloved blanket as Kee checks on her. And cuddles her too, obviously. <3 There are no coal veins anymore around, so he feels it's safe again to run around with a firebreathing foxmon!



When everyone of the team appears ready to bid goodbye to this pretty underground lake and move onwards, Kee gets up himself, stretches, pets Octavia who eventually returns to his side and at last looks around to choose a path to follow. "Well then, we've involuntarily managed to get 'way from this mine 'n get back to what SEEMS to be tha interior of the mountain... And I'd prefers if it STAYS that wae, that mine was cool but also so...dark, ominous 'n lonely. Ugh." He shivers a little. "How 'bout we head up there?" He points into direction....

...the stairs!  Karen's eager to go up them, and rushes ahead to climb up them to the next floor!  "Come on, let's go!  I think we're almost at the top!"

"W-wait for us, Karen!"  Rui does her best to keep up (which to be fair, isn't hard because Karen't not very fast at all).

Moments later, the whole group is reunited as Randolph, Lucas, and Kogeki are Teleported to the next floor.  But this time, Lucas looks around the room with a sense of...recognition.



"This is it.  Once we walk out of that exit, we'll be at Spear Pillar, the ancient ruins built to enshrine Dialga and Palkia at the summit of Mt. Coronet.  I don't know what we'll find there, but if there are any last minute preparations you need to make, do so now.  I'm not sure what exactly we'll find out there, but I don't expect it will be anything good."

Moments later, the whole group is reunited as Randolph, Lucas, and Kogeki are Teleported to the next floor.  But this time, Lucas looks around the room with a sense of...recognition.

Coronet.  I don't know what we'll find there, but if there are any last minute preparations you need to make, do so now.  I'm not sure what exactly we'll find out there, but I don't expect it will be anything good."

A little while before Ran and his mini-group is warped to the next Floor, he takes the time to speak with Paula as they (his mini-group) themselves explore for the Stairs, the siren queen herself sticking very close to him as they traveled. After that harrowing fight with Diamond Steelix and their enslaved Coal Onix 'allies' and her Evolution and his emotional moment, she's the one feeling overly protective and caring now, and not the other way around.

" Well well, look how much ya grown on me in so little time, Paula. You're bigger, taller, and much prettier than me now, ha ha ha! Didn't expect you'd Evolve during that battle, but I say its a great change for ya , lass. *Chuckles* Or should I call you 'my lady' now, since you look like nobility now? "

Regarding his big siren's protectiveness, the midget miner of course picks up on this, and while normally he'd be irritated about being 'coddled' like so, after everything that happened he just.....isn't bothered by it. He understood her reasons to act like she does. Not just from the context of the events themselves, but also because he understand her feelings too now. For the Cloyster hearted man who seldom connected to anyone on deep emotion level, it was quite a jarring discovery, like it had been when he had similar revelations concerning his understanding Diam, Beethoven, Brigid, Stymph, and previously most recently Zorn.

Yet again he somehow managed to form a strong bond with one of his partners without quite knowing how or why, and while that frustrated him as always, this time....he was less bothered by it. Perhaps it was his conversation with his partners on the job, the personal growth he went due to the trails of it, both or something more, but.....he seemed to get it a little better, even if only on instinctual level. Maybe someday soon, he'll find the answers he's been looking for all these years....

".....Ya know, you're the first Pokemon I've have that's ever Evolved, Paula. I've always preferred partners that don't or have already Evolved, and I didn't know you were capable of Evolution when I caught ya, so imagine my surprise when my little sea lass becomes a great big queen o' the waves mid-battle! Nearly distracted me from the fight, ha ha! *Shakes head* Don't think of it as a bad thing, though. It was unexpected, but....it was nice too. *Smiles* Knowing that I helped ya become the very best you can be. We'll have to celebrate the occasion later, but right now I just want to let ya know I'm for ya, and I'm....thankful I have a partner wonderful as you, my lady."

Upon reuniting with Kee and the rest of his mini-group, Ran gives the ladies a once over to see if they're fine, before looking over to give the colorful musician a downright devious smirk.

"Looks like my faith in ya was right, Kee. Took mighty fine care of the ladies, and showed them a good time while exploring. An Outstanding performance, but what else could I expect from a charming and compassionate musician like yourself?"

The lewd innuendo continues, and boy oh boy is Ran and Diam is enjoying, judging from their grins and the later's cackles. Paula reaction I'm not too sure about, but maybe she blushes from it or doesn't get it at all?

Lucas' warning cuts through the dwarven craftsman' air of jollity , causing him to sober up in an instant as he regarded the Exit with a wary look, as if it were going to come up a bite him.

"Ain't that right? Well, I'll take ya up on that suggestion. If Dialga and/or whatever is responsible for Tauros shit supernatural mystery force is sitting pretty out there, I damn sure want to be ready as I can for it."

Before anything be done, Kogeki dig the diamond dust to get some money before they head to the final battle.

He decided to make one final speech for his Pokemon partners. Corphish, Hazel, Heracross, Hime, Nami and Nagi. ''This is people. The final battle is coming. Dialga is right after that door. We need all the strengh necessary to challenge such powerful foe. And I counting in each one of you to beat such being."

"Nami. Nagi. You too gonna essential in this battle. To prepare defences, and set the weather for the battle. Heracross, Hazel and Corphish. You three will be the main attackers and your fighting moves will be important in this battle to go against Dialga powerful steel scales. And Hime...you will be the final resource in case anything else fails. The Final Gambit will be our last hope if we did not beat him. Our fate might be in your shoulders."

AHHHHHHH THE STAIRS, THE STAAAAIRS, they're real and they're buuurning in Kee's eyes, Octavia chirps and follows Karen just as eagerly, the sparkly faeeveelution's caretaker does so too and even offers a hand to Rui.

Kee widely waves as Lucas, Ran and Kogeki are teleported to them with magic with the power of the Explorers Badge!~ "Oh hi, nice t'see ya, how s'ccessful were y'all in pursuin' that strange Steelix?~ The fact that ya're HERE proofs that ya weren't eaten whole by it, yayyy!~

Aaaaand Kee's jolly and non-chalant mood melts away like a Vanillite underneath the sunbeams summoned by Drought Ability in a desert full of nothing but sand, rocks and sand again, one can literally watch how he freezes upon Ran's comment, then how his smile fades away, and finally how a massive blush that may not be too healthy makes its way up to his face, it bites itself horribly with his dirty-blonde hair.

A moment later, Kee gives that blacksmith with the guts to embarass him that much by exploiting a sensitive nerve of his in cold blood a light punch at his shoulder. "RAAAAAAAAN, stahp to utter such bullshit, please just STAAAHP; yes I DID take 'mighty fine care' of 'em but c'rtainly NOT in tha gross lewd way ya're thinkin', nooooope ! I didn't do anything, I DIDN'T, I don't want nor wouldnt want, I DOOOON'T !!"

He needs a few moments to calm down, and Octavia helps him greatly in doing so as she purrs and paws and nudges him with the tips of her ribbons.

His blush hasn't really decreased as he DARES to glance at Ran and NOT give him a pouting look complete with crossed arms and ecerything, instead he seems to take quite an effrto to sound and give himself normal. Or at normal as possible. "*couuugh* 'Kaaaaay, do listen Ran, there's something I thought you could.... Well, not really 'make good use of', but moar like 'find interesting and use to craft somethin' nice outta it'?~ Yes that IS a hidden request or question whether ya could." Rummaging a bit in his stuff Kee eventually reveals those shed skins of Dragonair and Dratini to him. "That's quite tha rare stuff, skin a Dragonair 'n a Dratini shed. Soooo, does ya'r skill 'n vaaaaluable~ experience allow it for ya to make somethin' cool or practival outta it?~~ Somethin' that'd be useful in battle or would recoive Orpheus would be best."



Lucas's opening that they'll be at SPEAR PILLAR upon taking that one fateful step outside this cave and into the are of the summit, is met by Kee with both strong and daring eager stemming from him craving answers, as well as concealed worry about what may or may not await them ahead.

When Lucas mentions those...last minute preparations, the colorful musician almost breaks his neck upon turning his head to staaare at the young Champ. "Wait a moment Lucas, ya're sayin' that YOU PEOPLE are o-kay with going outta there into tha literally unknown IN A LITTLE, are yar Pokemon 'n everythin' fine? Cuz, uhhhh, Karen 'n me had quite tha fight with a shadowy Dragonair 'n a bunch of Dratini, and our Pokemon are.... Well, my dear ones would do well with some Heal Pulses or similar, but dear Karen here -*he throws a worried glance at her*- suffered by seein' two of her loyal 'Mon faintin', ya see? In tha interest of having full arsenal of battle-ready Pokemon 'n no drawbacks by throwing a ton of Potions at 'em, couldn't we, well... rest at first 'n then move on?"


(Mechanically-wise I'd prefer that to fully heal Astoria (@5/8HP), Draven (@3/6HP) and optimaly Orpheus (@10/12HP), as well as reset the counter for Potions used on them to 0 again. I could certainly heal them up with more Potions on them, but that'd 1. further decrease the efficiency of Potions on them and 2. uses up useful Healing Items that may turn out life-savers during whatever awaits us at Spear Pillar. There's also the option to heal them with Heal Pulses from Kogeki of course, if he's okay with that, but it doesn't solve my issue with Potion Efficiency.)

"I'm not sure this would be the best place to rest, to be honest.  The wild pokemon that we've seen are all riled up by whatever's causing all this madness.  If we stop here, there's a good chance that we might be attacked while we're resting.  Sally and Samuel can help with the healing a little if needed. Randolph, Kogeki, and I all healed our pokemon earlier, so we should be fine for the most part."

"I have Revives and Potions still, so I can use them if I need to."

Samuel the Togekiss can use one more Lucky Wish to heal 4 pokemon. Sally can use up to 4 Heal Pulses. If you want their assistance, all you have to is ask.

Kogeki also offer his services to heal any injured Pokemon. Both Kirlia and Cleffa can do 3 Heal Pulses each one. "Just in case we dont survive the battle against Dialga, it was honor to fight among you guys."
