[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Multiple wild Pokemon down there that dear Whimsi has never seen before?! (╯✧∇✧)╯ Now Shiva's COMPLETELY and TOTALLY on the hook, let's see whether she can't make it to lure at least one of them into view for her catch a glimpse at those unique creatures herself.

At first, Shiva rummages a bit in her stuff and pulls out some more flakes of tasty Gourmet Food, a bit of that All-Natural Pokemon Food and some dried berries she always carries around, and places it by the entrance of the particular crack/hole that these 'Mon call their home. Then she and Whimsi retreat for a bit so that those unknown Pokemon have some time to calm down again as they certainly took her and her fluffball of a fairy as enemies or at least as unwelcome guests. They STAY within eyesight of the particular crack/hole though, they just hide themselves in the bushes and follow some other calm activities. Like quietly playing on that icy flute she has gotten from the League for defeating Primal Deoxys (Found a nice melody) (which mechanically reduces a Pokemon's Will by 1, but Shiva's intention here is to lure these unknown Pokemon out to see them and not really to catch any of them)

Nothing seems interested in the food at first. Finally, a little coconut-like or crablike Pokemon appears from the sand and snatches up the food before running away.

But when you play the flute, a strange silence emanates from the cave. When you close your eyes to slits, wrapped up in the passion of the music, you see a domed blue head pop out of the cave. It pops back in when you open your eyes again, but whenever you seem absorbed in the music it reappears. You sense that it will soon go report its findings to others of its kind.

Why am I seemingly the only one keeping this campaign alive?

Farewell, nice food intended for those unknown 'Mon, but at least a different 'Mon has now gotten some nice snacks.

Humm... The more Shiva leans and realized about these strange Pokemon down this cave, the more she gets a feeling that they...are just an illusion? Phantoms? An imagination? It must have to do with her sixth sense, does it...? Shiva's rather lost about how to properly call or describe it, but her interest and curiosity has been hooked already.

This domed blue head - she'd call that a success, definitely! But she also feels that she has soft-bothered these curious and unknown Pokemon enough for now. Smiling at the cave and its unique inhabitants she bids them goodbye for now, picks up the flute and Whimsicott and turns to leave. However, she will return several hours later, at best after night has fallen, to find this special cave again and play her icy flute once more. And this time her Furret is in her party.

After nightfall, the blue Pokemon are much more active! As you can clearly observe from the blinking lights everywhere.

When you play your flute, a dancing light appears at the top of the crack in the earth, then winks out. You hear the rustling of very soft footsteps. In the dim light, three Pokemon thinking themselves unseen approach your site to watch you play the flute. But you can see them - domed heads, stubby limbs, bulbous eyes. It's two Little Green Men and one Bug Eyed Monster, strange extraterrestrial Pokemon that some say don't even exist! Is it all a conspiracy?

Occasionally they will rotate out, swapping with other individuals in the cave.

Here's a hint for the time loop adventure.

For starters, there are many possible ways to address this puzzle, but here's a hint about one possible solution rooted in game mechanics:
The time travel appears to be an Ability of the swarm similar to Aftermath.

Alright, then that gives me an idea for information gathering.

Juliet's not exactly suited to battling in this kind of environment, but she should be able to handle being down here for a short time thanks to Kingdra's DIVE.

And in that time, she can use Role Play to try to copy a Lumineon's Ability.

So, care explaining how that Ability works in more detail if it's in a player's hands? Or does Role Play fail to copy the Ability?

Wow, that's an awesome and scary idea.

First off, you find that the ability is a lot weaker in Juliet's hands, implying that it's stronger when you have more individuals. Juliet can loop a single round of combat, but not an entire combat. At one point, she accidentally leaves the DIVE bubble, and even as she is gasping for breath she finds she is able to loop time back to correct her mistake.

There is definitely a range limit to it, about three or four battlefields worth of distance, getting weaker as it gets farther away. You can't target just one creature, it affects everyone and everything within range.

To someone outside the limits of the effect, a quickly-waning layer of some kind of ice-like substance covers the rocks and ground after the effect has been triggered. You sense that this "ice" is an ancient and powerful manifestation of Earthpower.

Anything else you want to know you can probably figure out through experimentation.

Could Heart able to increase the power, range and effects using his Earthpower abilities and also using the Helmet? Or maybe even copy the ability like that Water Scimitar woman we face who took some powers and aspects of a Nidoking in our little time travel adventure?

????????!!!!!!!!! When Shiva returns to the cave at nightfall and is met by blinking an dancing lights, she's at first extremly confused, but just as much fascinated. She's not scared. How strange, how beautiful, how...other-worldy!~

It intrigues her a lot that appearantly only she's able to see these, uhm, extraterrestrial Pokemon. A side-effect of her honed senses perhaps? They don't seem to be fearful towards her either - or they believe that she can't see them, Shiva's not quite sure about that. She leans towards that being true however, as which alienmon would come that close to a random human to watch them play music on an extraordinairy flute?

Shiva's loving and enjoying this scene and discovery a lot. ♡(´ ∀ ` *) It's so adorable and unique! These creatures - they don't mean any harm to her, do they? Shiva will notice if they do... Furtermore, what happens when she brings up Lilith to this scene, does her special Gothitelle react in a specific/meaningful way? Does she..perhaps know anything about this curious happening?

The next morning/day when she meets up again with Eduardo and Rita, Shiva carefully approaches them to inquire about this happening yesterday night.
"Hey you two, I wished to ask something that, uhm, may sound strange or weird, but... Do you know anything about sights of strange alien Pokemon at the island of Garlicburg and especially Wargame Forest? I heard very vague stories to the degree of conspiracy theories about something like this..." Shiva leaves out what she saw and discovered on purpose for the sake of her own safety, she's mostly interested whether the military is aware of these extraterrestrial Pokemon and how they react when being questioned... If Ed and Rita can't or won't tell her anything, she's going to search the internet for information and theories.

Gothitelle knows that the creatures are from the areas of her visions, but seems otherwise at ease.

Ed: "Strange alien Pokemon in Wargame Forest? No way. I'd have heard about it by now. Besides, Psychic types HATE going into Wargame Forest, because of all the Mightyena, Houndoom, and Pangoro the soldiers use. It's just a baseless conspiracy theory." He gives you a questing look.
