[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

"Hey guys. We were told you were the chaps to speak to if we wanted to get some living space. How does your service work?"

[Dragonstrike]

Kogeki greet the Drilbur. "Heya. I just passing by. I actually trying to become member of the guild. Floette was just calling  the guilmaster and I decided to take a look around here. What exactly is this passage?"

"This is the sentry tunnel.  Now get out, get out!  I'm working here!"

Again, Drilbur ushers the Riolu out of the dark tunnel, then burrows back into the wall.  Seems like Drilbur is more concerned about doing his job than chatting.

'Not many' - that sounds like there still are a few job requests below C Rank. Is there one with E or D? Or anythingelse that just catches his interest and curiosity? Kee's going to glaaaaare and staaaaare at the notice board with his deep red Ziggy eyes narrowed to make sure he doesn't oversee anything...!

If there's really nothing, he just strolls the room the notice board is hanging. Maybe he comes across something cool via PickUp that none's going to miss.

Kee doesn't manage to find any low rank missions hidden in the mess before Floette returns.  The tiny Fairy speaks with Arcanine's group, presumably about the paper they brought to her desk, before writing something down and waving them goodbye as they make their way out of the guild.

Then Floette waves over Kee and Kogeki.  "The Guildmaster is finishing up a meeting right now, but she said I could bring you guys in to meet with her as soon as it's finished.  She should be done by the time we reach her room, so follow me, you two!"

Floette floats over to the corridor with the metal torch above the entrance and waits for the two pokemon to follow.

Assuming Kee and Kogeki follow, they walk behind Floette down the tunnel, which is lit by metal torches the entire way.  The Braixen that walked into the corridor earlier walks past them, mumbling to themselves.  Floette gives them a passing glance, but
indicates that the Zigzagoon and Riolu should continue to follow her.

Eventually, they come to a large door with two more of those metal torches hanging on it, one on each side.  Floette peeks inside, then waves the guests in and opens the door.

The room on the other side is well furnished and grand looking.  A long, red rug stretches across the floor from the door to a large chair.  Sitting in said chair is a Delphox, and she's currently talking with a Gallade, a Rhyperior, and a Roserade.  The walls are decorated with various banners depicting strong looking pokemon, and more metal torches hang on the walls between each one.  Large tables, each surrounded with chairs, take up most of the rest of the space in the room on either side of the rug.  Another door can be seen on the back well, and there's a sign on it labeling it as 'Delphox's quarters.'

Floette has a smile on her face as she announces where they are.  "Welcome to the Grand Hall of the Adventurer's Guild!  Delphox over there is the Guildmaster.  She'll be able to answer any questions you have."

Delphox looks over the shoulder of the Gallade in front of her and begins wrapping up their conversation.  "You have your mission.  I trust it will go well."

"It always does, Guildmaster.  We will return once the mission is successful."  Gallade bows, then he, Roserade, and Rhyperior turn to walk past Floette and the others and out of the room.

As Gallade walks past Kee and Kogeki, though, he stops in place and turns to look at them for a moment.  Roserade and Rhyperior turn around once they notice the blade pokemon has stopped.  "Is something the matter, Gallade?"

"...no, nothing's wrong.  These newcomers just caught my interest, that's all.  Welcome to the guild, everyone."  And then Gallade turns back towards the door, and the trio of pokemon leaves the room.

Delphox beckons everyone still in the room to come before her.  "Floette, I thought you said there were five pokemon."

"There are, ma'am.  Three of them went to go inquire with the Gastrodon about something."

Delphox huffs, then looks at the two newcomers standing before her.  "Well, then I suppose you two will have to speak for them as well.  So, Floette tells me you're interested in joining the Adventurer's Guild, yes?"  She looks at Kee and Kogeki sternly yet expectantly.

The female Gastrodon is the one that speaks up this time.

"Oh, well if that's you're wondering about, then you're certainly in the right place to get some information!  I'm sort of the Guild's informant when it comes to what's happening around Sahra Town and finding pokemon in it.  If you need to find someone who can do a job or something in the town itself, then I should be able to find it for you.  You need some living space, you say?  Well, what kind of living space did you have in mind?  The Guild offers some basic accommodations for members, for example."

"Sentry Tunnel? What it is a Sentry Tunnel? I promise to leave you alone if you tell what it is." Kogeki simple sit in the ground with his legs crossed. "I sorry if I not exactly obeying, but I kinda have a problem with people I barely know ordering me around. Not very nice."

"I Kogeki by the way. Kogeki the Riolu. Have a name Drilbur?" The Anubis Pokemon try to get any information without need to return to his friends empty hand.

Kogeki's words just echo around the dark tunnel.  No response from Drilbur, who's presumably left to continue doing their job, whatever it may be.

Kogeki while walking the thought the hall, he looks interested in the design of the place. Perhaps not that much as his spark interested with the group of Pokemon standing before him. That Gallade included. Did Kogeki Anticipation trigger something about Gallade, Roserade, Rhyperior or Delphox?

When the guilmaster inquiry them, Kogeki was the first to answer. "Yes. We are interested. We also heard about having open positions to join in the guild as far I can remember."

Oh booh, no missions of low ranks available that Kee could have grabbed - he can't help but to be somewhat disappointed by that, but only for like 2 seconds or so before he just shrugs it off. ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌ "Bet there gonna be 'nough chances to accept a job request or two later on, bettah not bite off too much I can cheew!~", he thinks to himself.

Just as he was about to stroll the room and examinate all those exciting unfamiliar scents drifting around here, dear Floette waved him over, and of course Kee can't and won't let a lady wait! He waves back and swiftly zigzags over back to her with an exceptant smile on his face. "Welcome bahaaaack and thank ya for yar effort, happeh t'hear that the Guildmaster's willin' t'meet us!~" Aaaand off he is to follow Floette in his trademark zigzagy style of walking.


The whole way down the path lit by those metal torches Kee is looking confident and eager, he feels that he's about to reach a very important point on his path to become a real and official Explorer... C-can't fail that now, don't want to fail that now!!1!!11 When they reach that metal door and the flowerfairy waves them inside, his small yet affectionate Ziggy-heart is in his mouth. He can't help but to smile.


....What a room! It's kinda how Kee imagined a 'Guildmaster's place. When Delphox looks over her shoulder and Kee meets her gaze, he bows gracefully and lower than he did towards Floette. And when Gallade stops and looks at him, he smiles (⌒‿⌒) , winks (･ω<)☆ and raises a black paw in greeting (￣▽￣)ノ at the blademon. But then they're off before he can say a single word, leaving just him, Kogeki, Floette and the Guildmaster in the room.

Delphox huffs, then looks at the two newcomers standing before her.  "Well, then I suppose you two will have to speak for them as well.  So, Floette tells me you're interested in joining the Adventurer's Guild, yes?"  She looks at Kee and Kogeki sternly yet expectantly.

Another deep bow from Kee to greet the Guildmaster. He constantly smiles a charming~ smile now, he coughs before speaking up to clear his throat, he does everything possible to give a flawless first impression and show himself at only his best without sounding silly or needy. "Be kindly greeted Master of this Adventurer's Guild, 'nd thank ya for takin' tha time t'see us personally. Though I... do 'ave t'apologize that I can't really speak for the others, it's mostly me and Kogeki here *beckons to him* that are tha most interested in joinin'."

He doesn't flinch from Delphox's sterny gaze, holding eye contact with her without problems. A sign that he's meaning it... "It is true what dear Floette 'as told ya, Guildmaster, we came 'long with an interest in joinin' yar Guild. 't is my desire especially to become an Explorer - to traverse Mystery Dungeons, to help those fellow 'Mon in need, to uproot treasures 'n secrets is what I wish t'do, and joinin' a Guild is the startin' point where I aim to acquire practical training, experience 'n valour to protect 'n aid those that can't do so 'emselves 's well as those I hold dear."

Kee leaves out that 1. he was a human before and 2. that he's got a quest from Arceus on purpose - for now.

"Yet I am not much bar an unordinairy young Zigzagoon that has arrived here in Sahra Town only shortly b'fore - but mah heart's true and brave 'n I do not shy away from hard work. Just yesterday we went through Dry Forest t'reach this town, 'n leading the others through it has only confirmed that an Explorer's path is tha right one for me. So please, nobl' Delphox of a Guildmaster - *cue Kee taking a deep breath* - do tell us whether 'nd how we're able to become official members of yar Guild."

"Well, I'd like to get any place near the sea. This desert is playing havoc with my body. I don't have it as bad as that Lapras would, but it would be nice if I could stay hydrated."

Kogeki's Anticipation warns him that Gallade and Delphox would probably be able to cream him in two seconds flat if it came to a fight.  Definitely opponents to be wary of.

Even without Anticipation, though, it isn't hard to tell those four pokemon are all VERY strong.

Delphox scrutinizes Kee and Kogeki carefully, then answers their questions with a stern tone.  "Only you two?  Hmmmm...that will be an issue.  You need at least three members to join this Guild, though we prefer teams of five.  And let me clarify this: this is not an Exploration Guild.  We're not like that aloof fool of a Wigglytuff on the Grass Continent and that guild of his nor those happy go lucky Adventure Squads hidden away who knows where.  This is a Guild for Adventurers.  Those who are looking for Mystery Dungeons not to chart new territory or find treasure, but for the thrill of the adventure itself."

Delphox leans down and sternly stares at Kogeki and Kee.  "We take on just as many duties as the other types of organizations, but are you sure this Guild is a fit for you?  I expect my Guild's members to pull their weight, and you both barely look older than maybe three weeks at most."

She leans back in her chair again.  "Some may call me strict, but I am fair.  If you're really that interested in joining, prove your worth.  Gather a team of those interested in joining the Guild with you, and then go complete some low level job requests from the notice board in the lobby.  Floette will help you pick them out and take care of the necessary paperwork."

Delphox crosses her arms, waiting for either a response or for Kogeki and Kee to leave and do as they were told.

Kee perks up as Delphox points out the issue of simply being too few in numbers to join her Guild - damnit, that's indeed something he completely missed! There goes his hope to make a flawless impression and shine by being at his best behaviour.

...Or not, as the black-and-white Ziggy of a musician rears up, bristles his fine fur and continues to face the Guildmaster, there's no trace of shame nor setback in his expression. Not even when she clearly points out that she expects her guild members to pull their weight. Her clarification that she doesn't lead an Exploration Guild but and ADVENTURERS Guild even brings sparkles into his deep-red Ziggy eyes. ☆*:.(✧ω✧ )

He also keeps a clear tone of voice. "Very well spoken 'n clarified, Guildmaster. I do apologize for bein' too few Pokemon to form a new team, but I likewise am d'lighted to point out that we INDEED meet the condition of being five 'Mon in total." He smiles as if he has just pulled a hidden ace out of his non-existant sleeve. "'T is as dear Floette told, the other three of us d'cided to inquire 'bout Gastrodon's shop. Oh, please 'llow me to clarify mahself then that these adventures... The thrill of venturing 'nto a Mystery Dungeon to experience a truely unique adventure, takin' step after step nat knowin' what may wait for ya as you take that one alluring fork on tha path ahead - it is indeed what I am hopin' for. It is an Explorer's duty to aid 'n help, but where's tha point of doin' so it it bores ya? How shall I build up the d'sired 'experience and valour 'f I shy away from adventures or challenges?...."

"Ya also 'xpect responsibility? No problem from my side. Yes, Guildmaster, ya're right that biologically seen, I am yet a relatively young 'Mon. But isn't it a sign of a mature mind if ya're takin' responsibility for yar actions?" Kee can't tell more about this as that'd reveal his state as once having been human. As well as reveal his orphaned state, which he really prefers to not share.

Kee seems confidant about this - he feels that Delphox's Guild would fit his brave nature and natural instincts as a Galarian Zgzagoon kinda well. Of course, whether this holds true, only time and practical testing will be able to tell.

And so he bows gracefully once more towards Delphox and nudges Kogeki/@Spiritmon with a black paw of his. "Now c'mon, ya heard her, Kogeki. Let us meet the others, pick a job or two from tha notice bord 'nd get started on testin' and proving ourselves, shall we?~" Kee seems and sounds very eager and ready to get into things right away.
