Primal Kingdra is lazy and bulky and only makes one attacking move per round. But he's practically indestructible, especially to moves that aren't super effective or Legendary. He knows every move a Kingdra can possibly learn, Dragon Pulse being a common one for him. He'll also use Ice Fang when Fraxure is close enough.

Fraxure will end the scene fainted and evolve in his sleep if you can find a way to justify him lasting 3+ rounds and knocking loose 7+ scales.

Heart and Koa both prepare themselves for the match of his lifes. "I hope you dont mind if I use barriers sometimes Primal Kingdra. As someone who experiment Legendary Battles before in the past, all caution is necessary."

Koa started the battle in enchant his power doing Dragon Dance. PK see the opportunity and while his partner do that, Heart conjure a powerful move. Since he know a simple move such as Wide Guard will not be enough, Heart request Lancelot another type of power. A light appear in Heart arm, and he step in front of his draconic friend, while Kingdra launch a Dragon Pulse. "King Shield!" A strong light in the form of a shield appear in Heart arm, defending his old friend from the attack. The draconic energy was blocked, but still hurt a bit for be the power of a Primal, but Heart already felt the power of Legendary Pokemon before, so he stand strong!

Koa look worry for his friend, but Heart simple smile to him. Seeing his friend determination in protect, Koa run in the direction of Primal Kingdra, and Heart use his light shield to Koa jump to get close against his enemy. Koa do that, and then dragon power came out from each of his hands. Koa know his foe is bulky and strong enough to destroy him! Thats why he need to take as much scales he can to win this fight! Using a double attack with Dual Chop he target right at Kingdra chest, taking at least 2 scales in process since only Legendary or Super Effective can hurt Kingdra somehow!

But that was not the end of hit! As you mentioned, Kingdra would hurt Koa if he somehow get way to much close, and thats exatcly what happen. Koa felt the gelid attack hit hard the little dragon. But he resisted like a champ due to the hight level of health (5 of Vitality make a huge difference). Heart beg to his friend Clawitizer lend him his healing power, and use Heal Pulse to heal Koa wounds from the last attack. Thankfully, Koa didnt get himself Flinched.

"I guess we need to change our strategy. Remember Nuzleaf battle?" Koa was confuse at first, but then he remember that battle. Where Nuzleaf ambush them and Rose and Koa had to use a Range move. "Dragon Rage!" Koa mouth was light with Draconic Power, and launch a ball of purple power, aim right at Primal Kingdra chest.

Another piece of scale fall off the powerfull dragon. Kingdra barely feel much damage, and then launch another attack: Twister. The tornado get right at Koa and Heart. Heart hand shiny with power, and a barrier was protecting them against the Primal attack. The barrier protect Koa from most attacks of the Primal, but it had one effect not predicted: It Flinched Heart. He could not protect or heal Koa next time. Koa knew that, and launch once more against his enemy, hands filled with Dual Chop.

Slash! Two more Scales fall off from Primal Kingdra. Five Scales! One more, and they win!

But Primal Kingdra unleash one move they couldnt predicted: Blizzard! The attack was brutal, and leave Koa with only 1 HP. Primal Kingdra prepare himself to show the duo the most powerful move in existence: Draco Meteor.

But they didnt give up. Heart summon his last power! Calling upon Quetzal wind, Heart summon Tailwind, grating Koa more speed, enough to launch one last attack! Koa using his last strengh, unleash Dual Chop one last time, hitting two times the powerful dragon! The Dual Chop show a greater glow due to Koa holding the Dragon Plate! At the same time, Primal Kingdra release Draco Meteor, and the two pokemon, attack the same time!

Heart summon one last Wide Guard, and a huge explosion happens. Koa was send flying after the attack. And fainting. Not dead, but barely awake. Primal Kingdra was intact, despite the attack. But when it looks like they failed the test, in Koa claws was two last Scales!

Seven Scales in total was taken! Koa and Heart pass the test!

Is this enough justification Iron?

Heart pant a few times after the really tough battle. He fall in the ground, kneeling. "*Huff* Thanks...Whoosh. Master Chorizo training really payoff. Must visit later him when got the chance." Heart use a Revive on Koa, to make him able to stay awake. They both kneel in respect towards Primal Kingdra. "Master Primal Kingdra. Thank you for granting us the opportunity in train with you. We will acomplish the oath we made for you."

Standing up Heart look at his old friend. "Now, the last thing we need to find is find someone who can teach you Draco Meteor Koa. Then you will be ready fight against Whimscott!"

Shiva pays close attention Ven's insight about how to hide away something from the League within a lab... Lots of silent hmmms and thoughtful looks + poses from her. Though she doesn't seem really convinced yet. "All of those are valid and great ways to hide away something, Ven... But what I'm looking down here is alive, is a valid Pokemon, so hiding it within a script or microchip is out of the way. Or rather, it should be alive still and down here still if the League hasn't been here first - doesn't look to be the case though thankfully!~"

BUT we can surely collect some research papers or USB drives to show her later and check for any hidden information." That means, if there are any laying around by chance, Shiva will pick them up and hand them to Ventus for containment.

There are about 30 suits, maybe half of which are functional. The rest look like they were hit with some shrapnel and are just piled in a heap.

Okay, that means Shiva does definitely pick one of these hazma suits and carry it along with her - just in case. She doesn't put it on, she just holds onto it for now in case it'll be needed.

No passwords on either of the two potential Nucleon doors, though the green glow door has a retinal scanner that looks like it caught on fire in the recent past.

A retinal scanner - that means 'only authorized personal behind this point', something meaningful is behind that door, definitely. If it's caught on fire though, it's likely not functional anymore, or is it? Shiva carefully checks that by letting it scan her own retina, she expects either nothing happening or an error message popping up. (Reminds me on Dan Brown's Angels&Demons, where a retina scanner has been bypassed in a very clever yet morbid way)

'A weirdly, calm lodly presence' is behind that glowing green room? How interesting, how very interesting... And how very dangerous. Though somehow Shiva got the feeling that this presence may not be what she's looking for, it hardly makes sense for it being so calm and lordy... Either it is MADE to emit such an impression by force, or it's something very different that has been used to FORCE innocent Eevee to evolve - whatever it may be, Shiva's intrigued by it. And somewhat worried.

Another possibility for a Nucleon room is an airtight door with a big wheel for a doorknob. Lots of warmth is emanating from this door.

But let's focus on this option beforehand, before daring to enter the disater area = the dusty quadrant of the lab or tampering with the green glowing door.

First: Trying to cool the door somehow! This will be attempted with Azu's and Raphael's help. "How about a combined Ice Beam and Water Pulse, dear ones? Directly on the door please!" If something bad happens, Shiva's got the Shield to protect herself as she's basically standing right at the door. If this cooling-attempt works out, it's time for her to extremely carefully open that door...

The retinal scanner is now nonfunctional.

The door pings and pops and sizzles - it was holding a LOT of heat. It even buckles a little as the metal warps. When you turn the cooled wheel, the door opens.

Bright orange light assaults your eyes. At the center of the room is a massive behemoth of a machine, miles of working (but empty) conveyor belts leading into its fiery maw. It has been built in the shape of an oversized Guzzlord, but you know it's nonliving, it's truly a machine. Seems they have set up an incinerator here, along with some simple robots to help disassemble the things that need to be incinerated. There are slots for smaller items, like files, but the heat is so high that close to the machine that it would be impossible to approach them right now. Out the back, the machine has a big wound, the metal bent sideways and drippy with melted alloy. Ashes and bone remnants have spilled from this side. The hole in the machine is mirrored by a similar hole in the wall behind it. A mechanical/electrical humming sound comes from the revealed room in that direction, but it sounds arrhythmic. Looks like the hole was torn through some kind of big conduit, which for some reason has chunks of concrete inside.

Apparently, opening the door has disturbed something. It drags itself forth from the flames inside the incinerator and hauls itself upright. At first glance, it looks like a Magmortar, wreathed in flames. A further look reveals that it is massively oversized, and its belly has mutated to resemble the Guzzlordian mouth of the incinerator. It launches a warning shot from one armcannon which melts the steel pillar between you and it.

But even as that huuuuuge mutilated Magmortar warns them all by melting a steel pillar, Shiva does barely retreat; she flinches a little though to involuntarily put some more space between her, her Pokemon and that Incineragmortar. That arrhytmic mechanical/electrical humming from the room behind it - THAT's what caught her interest. Chunks of concrete also? They're not there just because.

She strengthens her posture again and so do Raphael and Azu by her side! "E-everyone, this huge Magmortar's likely too much for me handle alone, please, if you've got any Water Types on hand, help me defeating it quickly before it may set the whole room on fire! (>0<) "

Nathan wasn't necessarily expecting to need a Water type on hand for an underground lab, actually.

However, that doesn't mean he isn't going to be able to helpful!  In fact, he can do something VERY helpful to assist Shiva!

Nathan raises the Sword, and it begins to glow with power...

...and so does Azu!  That should give her Water and Fairy moves a substantial boost!

"Two attacks, Shiva!  That's all it should take!  Hit 'em where it counts!"

Separate, the Four are strong.

Together, they're almost unstoppable!

Gallade's watching that Magmortar's movements carefully and sticking close to Nathan, ready to defend the trainer at a moment's notice.

(I'll take a backseat and play more of a supporting role this time, if ya don't mind)

I have some moves in mind if you plan to fight the Magmortar:

Magmortar's heat and the cover makes it difficult to reach him with ranged attacks. You'll need to justify any such attacks.
However, if you approach for melee, I request a dramatic scene involving running on the conveyor belts!
This Magmortar's signature move is a Fire-type Rollout move that he sends wheeling along the conveyor belts. It gets stronger each time he blasts one.
And of course there's the Guzzlord mouth to contend with.

Heart get ready to fight. From his hand, the Helmet was ready. "You think your flames is hotter than mine? We shall see Magmofar!"

From the Pokeball came out Gustav, with his water canon ready pointing at his enemy. Another the other, Netune. His body shiny with power, bringing Mega Swampert!

Heart take one last look at Magmorfar and he put the Helmet. Flames came out from the helmet, and envelop Heart body, not burning his body, but acting as a mantle. The symbol of his chest, the symbol of the phoenix, was visible now to everyone to see. Heart then open his eyes, and for a second it was not simple eyes. His eyes was not just embers, but more like pure crimson magma. 

Heart point a hand to the sky, asking his ancestors for power. The fire in his mantle go to his hand, and then he then one last Pokemon come to scene: Lancelot, the Aegislash, answering his master call. He release from his Pokeball, with the shield equipping in his right arm, and the sword in his left arm. 

Heart once more concentrate the flames in his hand, this time right at the point of Lancelot sword. Sacred Sword came, but with one different thing: It was deep red, with flames sparking around the edge. It might be less impressive in comparison to Nathan sword, but Heart dont care. They fight together against this powerful foe. With one powerful voice, Heart said. "Magmorfar, face now the ones choose by the Artefacts. Un-garde!" Said Heart ready to the fight!
