[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Ventus was surprisingly (or not) unphased by the gruesome sight of immolated skeletons and their miserable fate, looking at them through his hazmat suit's protective visor with a sorta grim apathy. He was no stranger to this sorta tragedy, be it from his own personal experience as a Disobedient Pokemon Researcher and person plagued by terribly interesting times, who knows what else from his dark and nebulous history, and his more recent exposure to tragic nastiness from the Vines Disaster and Deoxys War, so on the whole he was unaffected by it. Well, beyond elevating his already considerable reservations, caution, and paranoia exploring these labs, anyway.

Never the less, it doesn't prevent him from noticing or caring about Nathan's take on it, and he reaches over to give him a comforting squeeze on his shoulder as they both stared at the lingering reminder of the dangerous and horrific nature of Nuclear Power.

"It is okay, Nate. It will be okay. Together, we'll get to the bottom of this, and prevent a repeat of this events and so many others connected to this lab's illicit activities. Be calm, be strong, but most importantly, be hopeful."

Despite himself, Ven would probably be curious (and callous) enough to want to pick through the remains of the fallen to see if they have anything useful, be it generally or the the group's current investigation. He'd be very careful, though, and ask if Shiva could lend her Shield's power to protect him from any potential Damage/Damaging Surprise that may pop out to get him while he's 'investigating' (Read: Looting).
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Heart different from Ventus, still feel affect the suffer of others living beings. Be human or Pokemon. And after witness at first hand the carnival of horror orchestrated by Deoxys Prime, the image right at him is enough to give him bad vibes.

He look at them, human and Pokemon dead, and then halt everyone. "Wait. If we gonna truly face a Nuclear Pokemon, we could try to get some info about what type of Pokemon is."

Heart grab the helmet and put in his head. He clap his hand together to one another and instead of Heart crimson flames, this time it was purple flames, to signify his power of the Soldier Bloodline he is using. "We need to find the bottom of this mystery. Lancelot, your ghost powers might be useful at the moment. Shiva? Can you lend me a hand in this case. Two shaman mages acting together might help a better way to enter in contact with the the dead."

"Besides, you read about magic more time than me, so use me as a vessel to comunicate with those spirits."

Lol you're wearing a hazmat suit. So to put the Helm on, Heart ambles out of the room then suddenly appears in a blur, wearing both Helm and suit.

You are welcome to describe a ritual, and maybe you'll be able to justify more information. But for now, all Lancelot can get with the Soldier Bloodline and a touch of Earthpower, is a taste of the departed soul's life energy. These weren't bad people, he thinks. Hard workers with a dangerous job, working for the good of humanity.

Ewww, what a scene. It immediately reminds on science-fiction-movies that get an apocalyptic vibe over time, and that disasters tend to start either by accidents within secret labs or by scientists of said lab messing up.

Shiva's insta-reaction to this is to yelp and cling to one of Ventus' arms in startle as if she desperately wants to make sure that she has someone with her that cares and tells her that things will be fine... And to calm down her accelerated heartbeat now that he kinda feels like having come to the right place. A simple and loving squeeze from Ven and the affirmation that she has her dearest Pokemon with her gives the sensitive fae-enthusiast the strength and courage she needs to hang on and face things with determination. <3

These blackened and irradiated 'remains' of a Flareon, a Vaporeon and an Eevee - Thanks to the worn hazmat suit and the Ancient Shield's protection (please tell me it also protects from radioactive gamma rays) Shiva feels brave enough to check and investigate these further: This means in particular touching them extremely carefully in hopes of triggering her sixth sense. Especially this Eeveeis of interest - is it possible to pick up of what exactly it likely died of? Shiva assumes that Almanac aimed to force-evolve it into a Nucleon, which was just too much for this poor thing.

Oh and yes, naturally she does provide Ven the Ancient Shield's protection if he wishes to loot the dead bodies. She's likewise curious about what they may hold or carry, but she much prefers for Ven to do the actual looting given that HE has less reservation than her to do so.

Alright, after checking the room/scenario Shiva is able to list up potential aims and objectives:

Objective A: Fix this tiny tiny hole in the steel tube that leads from the tube emiting the green-bluish glow to stop it from  leaking steam.
Objective B: Find out what is emiting this calm and lordly emotion.
Objective C: Prevent the others from outright attacking a potential Nukemon shall one show itself.

C should be realtively easy if Shiva voices or otherwise lets her desire known: "It may be injured, hurt, scared, traumatized or all of that, so please, there's NO need to further harm it! Shall it....jump at us or attack, p-please leave it to me, o-kay?" Aww how brave of her.

Now for A, let's try the initial idea of me and Shiva to do so: The first one is stuffing it with as much of Whimsicott's and Cottonee's shed fluff as possible, together with Whimsi's Infiltrator Skills it will hopefully work to get it into place. Cotton consists of tiny tiny fibres and can be made into extremely thin yarn, Shiva and her fluffball pack it together as dense as they can to cover that hole in the tube as best as they can.

Next it's Vaporeon's turn, she's asked to make this cotton clump together into a thick mess via Muddy Water and Sand Attack. Summoned rocks via Primal Espeon's Ancient Power can help, or any move of Pokemon belonging to the others that channel melted steel or solid mass.

Finally Klefki is asked to cover the hole of the tube and it's surrounding with many many Spikes, which are then melted down via a Fire Typeor Heart's Earthpower to create a solid cover.

Nathan shakes his head, having a good idea of just how dangerous feral Nuclear types are from what he's heard about what happened in Tandor.  "...I'm sorry, Shiva, but I can't promise that if we're getting attacked by a glowing green pokemon.  I've heard corrupted pokemon are...aggressive and belligerent, to put it lightly.  Even skilled trainers have trouble controlling them.  They're researching how to tame them in Tandor, but...that's there, not here.  Nuclear pokemon are usually dangerous, whether they mean to be or not."

"...and whatever that presence is, it's definitely not scared.  Whatever it is, this is its territory.  You're welcome to try and talk it down first, but if it attacks, I'd be inclined to KO it in self defense."

The Shield's usual rules apply - protecting one person at a time, and only against damage OR extra effects. Radiation is akin to Poison; an explosion would be akin to a damaging attack.

All the mons and people in here died of intense radiation burns.

Stuffing the tube with cotton while it's actively emitting steam strikes me as the hardest part of your plan, but I suppose with all of you working together it could be managed. That'll only be a very temporary patch though.

Ven is looting the corpses, rifling through their pockets. They each have their exoskeleton, which has storage compartments of its own. He finds a combined $12,000 in merchantable equipment, including the money in their wallets. There are four rather illegal Nuclear TMs - two copies each of Half Life and Nuclear Wind. Any Nuclear type can learn Half Life. Any Flying type can learn Nuclear Wind. Sadly, you don't find an Expunge TM, but there are several references to it in the documentation you find.

While you're checking out the broad man's corpse, you hear the scuffling of a living thing beneath (or inside?) the corpse.

Then definitely protecting from Extra Effects = the radiation around.

Oh yes, I thought that this plan is only a very temporary solution - and what if the cotton fluff is replaced with some tiny shards and rocks that Shiva picked up here, does this make it a better/more durable fix? It doesn't have to be a definite and permanent fix however, Shiva kinda feels/hopes that if they bring enough hazmat suits to the military and League, they can work on a definite fix of this, as in 'come with suitable materials and supples to do so'.

But as long as Shiva's solution works for the time we all are inside this glowing green room, I'm tottaly fine and good.

Scuffling of a living thing beneath/inside the corpse of the broad mechanical-exoskeleton'd corpse??! Then lets carefully shove that corpse aside to check. This will be done by Shiva and Ventus together, she desperately asks to help on this, poor living creature!! Is this living creature...the source of this calm and lordly emotion?

Nathan has the Sword pointed in the general direction of that corpse and signals to Metang to be ready, just in case.  Whatever's under there, Nathan is going to treat it with extreme caution and be ready to strike at a moment's notice. If it is a feral Nuclear, it would be unlikely to take a hit from the Sword without being KOed.

Heart also raise his hands, who ignite in flames ready to burn the being who is hiding in the corpse. Lancelot his his sword and prepare his Swords Dance just in case. And Quetzal was ready to deliver metalic wrath upon the enemy hiding in the dark.

Luckily, it's not a Xenomite burrowing in the mummified flesh of the corpse.

You push aside the exoskeleton... and the skeleton... and beneath is a TINY little Pokemon you haven't seen before. Its short downy fur glows dull greenish blue. It has three eyes. Many of its appendages do not attach directly to its body, but seem suspended by some kind of force. Other than that, it looks a bit like a newly hatched Eevee, no more than a couple months old. A floating hazard symbol is partially obscured by a blue knitted scarf, one that you recognize from a photo ID in the wallet you looted.

Its floating ears are lying back, a little bit nervous. But as more radiation reaches its makeshift den, it stands up on all fours to regard you with idle curiosity.

"Pweeerrrweerr?"
