You can sense that the bond between these two was very strong - how else would the Eevee have become an in-control Nucleon after that dose of radiation that killed all the other Eevee?

Nucleon accepts the Nuclear gem. You're certain it would enjoy being with you, but that doesn't mean it will leave the trainer who died for it.

Heart, after ending the ritual tell to everyone. "People...I have good and bad news. Good news: The spirit actually was able to broke in the living world. Bad news: Not completely, just a little bit. So in case you guys feel a chilling feeling in the spine, yeah, you have a ghost in your shoulders. The guy is back in incorporeal form."

Shiva's very thankful that this smol Nukeeveelution has accepted her Nuclear Gem, she gently pets a little over their glowing gree and detached ears; all while smiling sweetly. (⌒▽⌒)☆

But she still has tears in her eyes. (μ_μ)

"Don't want to leave this person behind even though they unfortunately can't protect you anymore, don't you? I'm so... so sorry, little one... You NEED to, don't you understand? For your own safety and wellbeing. This dear person here... they died to protect you, this alone is so noble of them, yes it is. But... this also means that they can't protect you from said bad people that will come here; if they come, they will...will... *sobbing and sniffling* likely just take you and them and seperate you with force, whether you want it or not, regardless how much you may resist I fear. And I... I don't want that to happen, really not, you see?"

"But... even if you'd be with me, this doesn't mean you shall just forget about this dear caretaker of yours here. No, never ever, that'd be blasphemy!! Look, you've got this nice knitted scarf, it belonged to this person, doesn't it? Please keep it, hold it dear, and together we shall keep this person in good memory and honor them. They can't protect you physically anymore, they may have given their life to protect you - but they can STILL live one if we keep them safely locked in within our both's hearts, you understand? So, do these words have any impact on smol Nucleon?

Nucleon does react to the idea of locking the dead trainer in its heart. Nucleification has a lot of parallels to Shadow, after all.

If it gets to keep the scarf at all times, smol Nucleon will come along with you with a lot of reluctance and a lack of self-confidence when outside of this nuclear world. That's something you'll have to work on.

Awwwwwwwww.....♡ When smol Nucleon staaaaaaaares at her with all of their three eyes and eventually all slowly and carefully comes over to Shiva to lick at her gloved hand, her sensitive heart threatens to melt like the conduit with chunks of concrete from the room with the incinerator; and tears begin to run down her cheek as he rather timidly yet honestly thankful pets smol Nucleon's cheek. "Thank you, little and cute one... So grateful that... *sob* my words have reached you in the end...." She adjusts Nucleon's blue knitted scarf a little, then lightly picks them up to hold in her arms.

She gives them a moment to bid farewell to their dead caretaker while Shiva herself fishes around this person's pockets once more until she has found that photo ID Card picturing the one with the scarf, and presents it to Nucleon to hold onto as well. "Another memorial for the two of us."

No registering of Nucleon to a Pokeball yet - she fears it might scare them, and as long as the group within this nuclear room with their hazmat suits smol Nucleon can and shall roam. Plus, it'll possibly get them used to her presence.

It takes Shiva quite an amount of will power but she quickly gets a hold onto herself again. The next thing to do: Finding out where this calm and lordly presence within this room comes from.... Or is it Nucleon themselves? Shiva checks this by holding them very close to her heart. If they aren't - can her sixth sense, like, 'guide' her to this presence if she concentrates with closes her eyes shut and nears the other big things within this room? Is it an 'alive' presence at all?

In the meantime, Nathan has noticed Ventus edging closer.   He's been watching the man carefully for varying reasons, so Ventus's actions haven't gone entirely unnoticed.

In the meantime, Nathan has noticed Ventus edging closer.   He's been watching the man carefully for varying reasons, so Ventus's actions haven't gone entirely unnoticed.

While Shiva's occupied with Nucleon and investigating the room, he curiously asks the researcher, "Find anything interesting?" (@Lord Windos)

For the record and to put it in the Game Thread: After Ven searched the blasted and charred corspes and discovered all that loot + Nucleon, he quietly retreated VERY slowly and carefully back to Nathan and Heart, letting Shiva rush over and handle the glowing green ball of fluff. He kept what loot he found to himself, as well as his internal highly fearful/fretting/concerned reaction of 'Oh gods, a living breathing Nuclear Pokemon is right there with my girlfriend and near my friends, oh dears' , so as not to cause a potentially disastrous panic from himself, his friends, or the questionably 'peaceful' Nuclear Pokemon. He was NOT going to cause a catastrophic incident one way or another this time, not when the stakes are so direly high and the group is in not fully explored but very much known to be dangerous territory, oh no!

The eccentric researcher flinched a bit at the sudden question, his head snapping to the adolescent hero and away from the sight of Nucleon and his beloved oh so very dangerously close together. Playing nice and friendly, getting along and bonding over common ground, and creating a fledgling bond together. But he knows. He just knows, from his long years of experience as both a researcher, explorer, and other things, that all it takes is one mistake, one mishap between a hazardous, Lethally dangerous Pokemon, for everything to go completely to hell in a hand basket. Or in this case, a Nuclear enriched casket. Shiva's Shield can't protect against everything at once, after all, or everyone for that matter too.

It takes a few seconds for Ventus to regain his clarity of mind and realize what his friend was asking, blinking before shaking his head to clear it and some of his anxiety for the current situation away. He then mulls it over briefly, his face going expressionlessly calm as he did so......before inclining his head slightly.

"....Yes. Found some quite interesting Items and relics indeed. The kind that needs to be.....discretely handled, I believe, least they.....attract unwanted attention. At least, that is of my professional opinion - one I think Dagny will share too, once I report these findings to her."

If that carefully whispered statement doesn't scream 'I HAVE FOUND DANGEROUS AND SHADY THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DISAPPEARED, PLEASE DO NOT ASK MORE ABOUT IT OR YOU'LL BECOME LIABLE TO GET IN TROUBLE LIKE ME' to the young historian.....

Nathan's doing his best to remain calm as well while he's discreetly conversing with Ventus, having overcome most of the initial shock of the horrible scene.  "I'll trust your judgement on that, Ventus.  And you can bet that I'm not really comfortable with this right now, either.  None of this Nuclear power should be here in the first place.  It's...unnerving.  That being said, I fully intend to make sure Dagny is informed on what's happened here.  No need to worry about me in the long run.  It's Shiva I'm concerned about.  Gonna be interesting trying to explain this to the military...we'll need to call Dagny at the soonest opportunity, preferably before anyone leaves the island, person or pokemon, in any fashion.  The sooner the air is cleared, literally and figuratively, the better."

The brilliant historian's faith in him actually gets a small but notable smile from Ven, feeling slightly better about this whole situation now that he knows for certain they are of the same mind about it. 

"Thank you, Nate. This.....discovery is not a wholesome one at all, as I too dread to ponder what Almanac and their ilk was doing with Nuclear power - or how in Kyurem's frozen domain they got their hands on it in the first place. That is a question I want answers to, among many, many others. Hopefully our investigation and reclaimation of these Reshirim forsaken labs will yield such Truth, or lead us in the right direction."

Nathan's comments on Shiva and the murky legal waters she was now treading into wipes away the orange haired scientist, his lips pressed thin as his mind quickly came up with several outcomes and consequences for her if nothing was done to help her, none of them good.

".....I can later get into contact with her (Dagny) without alerting the military or problematically implicating you or anyone else in....this. I brought Haziel (His Natu capable of Super Teleporation) along with me and have covertly let him familiarize himself with the island, so if I can get somewhere outside that's not under close observation I can him Teleport me to her and sort out this whole dubious affair before it can possibly blow up on Shiva. Knowing her, she'll be able to pull some strings and get us - or at least you and the rest of the group - authorization to own and use Nuclear Pokemon in some capacity quickly enough that neither the League or its military forces will have the chance to grind gears with my dearest. Worse case scenario if she can't or won't and I can have Haziel smuggle it (Nucleon) off the island and into one of my safehouses, and convert the place into a private sanctuary and containment zone for Shiva to covertly visit and play with it. In any case I can have this all this handled in little time, with no one but us none the wiser for it. That is, if you'll allow me?"

Ventus has little illusions that he's not going to get away with anything that Nathan disapproves of (or not easily, as past history can attest too), given the immense power they can wield over him in both the literal and figurative sense, and so come the question. It was also the polite and sensible thing to do, as this whole situation and the many ways available to access it involves them too, and they may have an idea or two to offer on his own suggested course of action.
