[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

(Hahaha, it probably is. But Shiva doesn't really care, especially since she is oblivious about the happenings in Tandors [and should stay like this as well!] and I just kinda like Uranium's Curie and the real Curie ^^)

Since Nucleon's indeed safe to be around, all the more careful and protective holding close of the smol creature. "You see, Nathan? This dear Nucleon does not pose a threat to one's health when being around her. *dear smile* She doesn't seem to emit radiation just when breathing- likely only when attacking given this ability called 'Atomizate'. But will I go around attacking random wild Pokemon with radiation? No, that'd be cruel! (>o<; )"

Cool, very well done! Both the electric plasmamon and the glitchy digitalmon get genuine thanks for their aid.

Now that the locked door is unlocked, Shiva will open it - while gently guiding everyone a little behind her AND protecting herself from any physical damage via the Ancient Shield. Heaven knows what may lurk behind this door, it doesn't hurt to take these safety measures just in case.

The door slides open and no disaster occurs.

You find yourself facing a narrow room with two enormous I-beams covering one entire side. They're at chest height; their positioning makes you think they might be like sliding bolts.

They are wired up to two number-letter keypads. One is brown, one is blue.

On the floor are several big geometric patterns, inscribed in circles and polygons. They look a lot like symbols you saw in the various Scimitar bases.

Shiva's continued and ever increasing fondness for the green, black-bluish, and white unnatural Eeveelution didn't do his worries for her and everyone else good, nor did her choice to name it after Curie sit well for him for multiple reasons. He had become aware of who and what that person was through various means since his departure from the group, so naming a Nucleon after that woman was akin to Terra naming their Slowking after Sarimanok, IE: foreboding and begging for something to make them live up to their namesake. Names had power, and invoking them shouldn't ever be done lightly, much less the gifting of them.

However, the eccentric researcher did his best to shove his own concerns aside and put on a calm, happy front for his beloved, nodding to his fair and fae lady with a small smile as she Captured the Nucleon and fully brought it under her care. Though he didn't care much about the creature of Nuclear power go wrong, and would much rather it have just been left behind or turn into military custody for them to deal with it, if his dearest found Curie to be something worth opening her heart up too.....well, he'd find a way to make peace and be okay with it. If he was willing to continuing dating and loving Shiva despite her becoming so very much a fae and inhuman monster like his mother (and possibly worse than them in some ways) in his skewed beliefs and perspective, he could eventually accept and trust a borderline dangerous Nuclear abomination like Nucleon.

Ventus observes and follows the same stringent caution Nathan does when making sure no radiation was going to be following the group before unsuiting, nor that the phosphorescent fox was not emitting any of it either, and was immensely relieved when the Lore Master gave the all clear. Though he typically trusted his dearly beloved more than his oft vitrolic friend, in this case and others like he was more inclined to side with the boy!

He's delighted to see that Nathan brought along Porygon-Z (for both their foresight in bring them along and because he was quite fond of the Pokemon he helped fully Evolve, not to mention being fond of the Porygon species itself from his past history with them), giving the digi - duck a bright and vivid smile and a little wave  before they got to work with Pulse, whose presence caused him to frown and stare at them cautiously for a moment before look away neutrally. He didn't have any grudge against the electronic specter persay, nor did he doubt Nate's ability to control and discipline them, but.....it was hard for him to be easy around a notoriously devious and Disobedient species of Ghost that he never really got to know or trust, among other reasons.

Seeing the Scimitar esqe designed corridor past the formerly locked door made him frown again, this time harsher, deeper, and with just a hint of distaste that allude to the true depth of his intense loathing of those cabal of wizards. He took one scrutinizing  look at the floor before addressing the rest of the group, a note of caution in his voice.

"I'd be advised to be on guard for any traps or devious designs from henceforth, my friend. If what we have already yielded from our investigation was not any indication of the treacherous nature of these labs, this hallway is most certainly is one. As such, I suggest before moving on we check the floor for any traps, and have them disabled by Poyrgon-Z and Pulse if they are electronic in nature, or by brute force if they are not."

Ohh, good idea. In that case, is, maybe, Shiva or Primal Espeon able to sense anything unusual here that may hint of a trap BEFORE she's aiming to go straight towards this brown keypad?

There's definitely Earthpower active in all of the circles. You don't sense any mechanical traps in the room itself, but it's obvious that something so strongly bolted would have alarms and whatnot built into it.

Presumably Shiva would share her findings with everyone, at which point Ven's already precipitous mood threatened to raise several more metaphorical kilometers . Earth Power, leashed and bound by the diabolical hands of those vile and blasphemous archmages. He already knew their wicked depravity had no end, but being presented with an example of it in person still managed to make his blood boil.

He had enough control left over himself not to give into his hateful urges, however, and instead calmly turned to Heart and gestured to the floor pictograms with a deceptively pleasant smile.

"Heart, if I recall correctly you are the most......well versed when it comes to unorthodox and unnatural applications of Earth Power, so could you possibly ascertain what sort of spells the Scimitar once here laid, or disarm or trigger them remotely regardless? I rather we not experiment ourselves or our Pokemon what those circle can do, so any sort of aid you can render to prevent us from doing so would be wonderful, my friend."

Heart look at the pictograms and symbols for a few seconds...and then nod to Ventus. "I think I can try. The way me and Scimitars use their powers is...different. Although they have a similar base. I suppose you aware how Mega Evolutions works right? They use the bond of Pokemon and Trainer, using 2 triggers: A Key Stone and a Mega Stone. Using these things, the energy made by the bond give the pokemon a new form and a boost of power."

"Earthpower works in the same way. But instead of give Pokemon power, it is capable to give humans super abilities using the same base of bond. Scimitars use their gautlets to use pokemon to power up spells, like a artificial way to extract power." Heart point at the symbols. "I think I see such symbols before. There are a few in Chorizo house, the guy who teach me Earthpower. I not exatcly sure what they are but I think they are...seals. Binding Seals. Problably made to make sure something really strong dont escape from this place."

Heart make a worry face. "But...there is so many. Whatever the Scimitars were trying to seal away, is problably so much dangerous and powerful to be necessary to put so many seals. Or maybe these symbols serve as some sort of way to drain the power of the beast the Scimitars try to bend to their Will. Or maybe a mix of both. Perhaps we are in the place where those Scimitars extract the power to power up their Gautlets. Or at least one of its strongest sources."

"But...give me a second to analyze these things. Perhaps I might be wrong and this might be...something else." Heart carefully approach and decide to check these symbols and pictograms. But having the care to not broken any of the seals.

Did Heart figure out something about these symbols?

One of your guesses was really close. These seals are binding something in a room below you, and to the sides, but that's not all they're doing. They're also channeling off a lot of excess elemental energy from those rooms. To the sides are trap runes channeling fire, electric, psychic, and draconic energies. The central one is channeling and sealing an elemental type you've never worked with before.

There is a specific path among the runes that someone would have to take in order to be safe from the traps if an incorrect password were entered. That route forms a sort of countercharm symbol and deposits the walker in a safe zone within reach of the keypads, but not directly in front of them.

Heart after noticing these patterns he begin to share this information with everyone. "Well people, I was half right indeed. These seals is indeed binding something in some room belows us to the other sides. But it seems its not absorbing energy. Instead it is channeling a lot of elemental energies in those rooms. There is so much Elemental Energy in those symbols I almost feeling sick."

Heart point towards the trap runes. "Those things are trap runes, and they are channeling fire, eletric, psychic and draconic energy. But the central one...I not sure what is to be honest. Some kind of type I never work before, and I work with lots of types before."

"There is some kind of specific path among the runes to take in be safe from those traps in case the password be the incorrect one. That route show the walker the path to safe zone close to the keypads. What this path is I not sure..."

Is Heart capable of dispell those Runes? Maybe with the helmet? Or at least he can see what is the path to be taken to reach?

Taking a few careful minutes of study, you do figure out the path I was talking about.

The Helm just makes things faster. Doesn't seem like it will be helpful here. And dispelling the runes one by one, undoing their weave, could take a really long time.
