"I'm not trying to subdue anything, Ventus!  We just need everyone to calm down here and work together, pokemon and human alike!  That means no rocket launchers!!"

That last part was aimed at that group of military personnel.

"...*sigh*...it's obvious that Cocancer is uncomfortable with some of the things that have been placed here while it's been sleeping.  We need Cocancer to not make any sudden moves and stay calm, we need to keep as many people as we can calm, and above all, the League needs to work together with Cocancer to fix this mess before it becomes any worse.  The facility may need to be abandoned.  I can't make that call, obviously, but I sure can try and spread the word to stay.  Calm.  The more everyone panics, the more danger everyone will be in!"

Nathan's just about ready to run off and check on other groups to make sure they're not gearing up for battle, because that would certainly do more than mildly annoy Cocancer, but then he has an idea.  "Wait, I think I know exactly who can make that call..."  Nathan pulls out his pokedex and dials Achilles's phone number.  Hopefully the Gym Leader tasked with protecting this region isn't too busy right now to pick up the phone...

"You Kyruem damn well know what I mean! We don't NEED or feel obliged to do anything here, except escape Nate!  I've told this to Terra, and I'll tell it to you, but your noble attitude isn't needed right now! Focus on getting yourself and our friends to safety first, and THEN indulge in heroics IF it doesn't put yourself in harms way!!"

When it becomes abundantly clear that his vitrolic friend was not going to heed his sound advice and instead foolishly continue to be a self sacrificing hero, he let out a downright nasty snarl and shook his head like a Mightyenna tearing meat from a bone before turning away.

"Fine, you absolute stubborn hard head . Don't listen to me. Continue to put yourself at unnecessary grave risk for people not worth it in the slightest over the concerns of your friends, Pokemon, and family. See what comes of such a stupid, foolish, and blindly suicidal path.  That is your decision, not mine. I'm getting off this island with everyone I care about if I can, with or without you. If you want to be a hero, d o  i t  b y  y o u r s e l f ."

His tone is hot and scathing like Inferno Fire as he turns and storms off back towards Shiva and Terra, not waiting to hear any rebuttal or rationalizations from. He tried to get them to go, but they refused, so let him be a such a overreaching and reckless child! They have Dug their grave, but they're not making him share it with him!

Once he rejoins his love and their bodyguard, he rather bluntly tells them "We need to leave. Now. Before this creature does anything that could get us maimed or killed. *Notices the Frozen Roar* If you wish to continue trying to placate and negotiate with this crab, you can do so airborne on one of your Flying Pokemon above and out of its reach with that pseudo-Artifact. Let's go."

Ven summons Lucifer with a flick of his wrist, and with a few words they'd be ready FLY off the TITANIC COCANCER. For a moment, though, he waits for his dearest and the sagely monk to respond. The later looks pained and frustrated by their decision but does not protest, but the former.......well, we'll find out, won't we?

Achilles answers at once. "Hoi! What can I do for you, Nathan?"

"Thank goodness you picked up, Achilles.  So, it seems we have a bit of a situation on Garlicburg...or rather, on the back of a giant Cocancer that you can probably see from the shore.  Seems it just woke up after a long nap, and some parts of the facility that have been built on and around it are causing it discomfort.  If it gets angry, a lot of people could get hurt, and a large part of the facilities here could end up destroyed.  We're gonna need a little help and authority on this one to keep everyone calm and get everyone out of this safely.  You can help with that, right?"

"What???? Is that what's going on? All we can see from shore is a GIGANTIC cloud of mist and spray. Wow, that's a hard one. It would take me several minutes to get there in person - I'm already out the door! But if you can get me hooked into a PA system, maybe I could start helping immediately? I'm also activating some agents on the shore who can get there in less than five minutes."

[Dragonstrike]

"What???? Is that what's going on? All we can see from shore is a GIGANTIC cloud of mist and spray. Wow, that's a hard one. It would take me several minutes to get there in person - I'm already out the door! But if you can get me hooked into a PA system, maybe I could start helping immediately? I'm also activating some agents on the shore who can get there in less than five minutes."

"If I can find the PA system, I can certainly try.  Or I could send some pokemon that know FLY to pick ya up and bring you here more quickly if that might be easier.  Probably wouldn't take much longer than trying to locate the PA system."

Heart look at the big Cocancer and try to think what to do. Heart quick grab the Frozen Roar and summon Quetzal  and Fly at the direction of Giant Cocancer. "I just hope I not been a fool." Heart equipped the helmet. He reach right in the face of Cocancer and using the Frozen Roar and the helmet he yell.

"COCANCER! STOP! STOP DOING WHAT YOU DOING!YOU HURTING PEOPLE AND POKEMON ALIKE!" Heart try to focus connect to Cocancer Earthpower with his own power.

In that case, Nathan will retrieve Charizard, Masq the Unfezant, Pidgey (who should evolve very rapidly from using this move due to its specific evolution conditions), and Ditto (transformed into one of the other FLY users) and instruct them to pick up the gym leader and his men and bring them here ASAP!

Shiva does not hesitate a single bit: Giving her love an urgent glance she quickly summons her loyal and beloved Tropius; and mindful as the grassy sauropode is he immediately lowers his body to let Shiva mount.


Was it worth it risking these caged Pokemon's, the Nucleon's, all the League's and military's people's life for her OWN, her FRIENDS and OWN DEAR POKEMON'S when she was so young still and had a - if all goes well - bright future ahead of herself...? NO IT WAS NOT. Call her whatever you may want to, but she's prioritizing staying safe herself in this case.

However she asks Ventus not to flee immediately and abandon everything, but instead definitely get out of the danger zone while still being close enough to have a chance to further negotiate and trying to calm huge Cocancer themselves down. "Just for a bit Ven, please! Once it, uh, becomes unmistakably clear that EITHER Cocancer's staying calm OR the situation drastically becomes more dangerous for us, let's get out of things RIGHT AWAY and WITHOUT further questions, alright? I... I don't want to risk my, my Pokemon's or your life! (>o< )" Does this sound like a fine and agreeable compromise for the erratic Sociologist?

Do you think we can share the FrozenRoar between ourselves and work together on this? I too have a plan, and both of us aiming to subdue Cocancer in a friendly way would work best in this case! However, Shiva wishes to DEFINITELY stay outside of the immediate danger zone = not as close to Cocancer as Heart seemingly is.

Cocancer doesn't think he is causing a ruckus. He shifts uncomfortably, knocking over a craggy peak or two of the crater-shape that's all that's left of the island. The more people mess around with the biggest things, like the incinerator and the (paused) nuclear sub, the more upset he becomes.

Of course, he's a bit of a threat even without being angry. Any careless movement could cave in the whole industrial complex. [source]

Alright, that's helpful information and enables Shiva to approach things a little differently. Her voice amplified by the FrozenRoar she continues coaxing and soothing Huge Cocancer: "Ohhh I see, you obviously aren't happy with all the buildings and complexes humans have build below you belly, are you...? Well, please know that things are handled and under control, these people down these complexes are aiming to get some trapped Pokemon down the complexes out of them, THEN they'll leave the facilities alone. With the facilities left alone again, you likewise are left alone and can dwell in peace again, can you? Please, try not to move too much or at best not at all to make these people's actions go by faster and quicker, then you're left alone faster and quicker likewise - you understand? I understand how uncomfortable you feel and how you absolutely dislike these people messing around, but PLEASE understand that this HAS to be done - stay calm, stay quiet, and and aaaaallll will go by fast with the trapped Pokemon and the people freeing them safe and sound. NONE is up to harm you, really not. Please, do you really want to risk fellow Pokemon's and the ir rescuer's lifes?"

The vibe Shiva's talking to Concancer is one of her talking to a Baby Pokemon that absolutely does not enjoy being examinated and vaccinated by a vet: It's highly uncomfortable for the 'Mon, but it's for their own well-being.

"How about it, instead of being so mindful about how uncomfortable all of this is for you, concentrate on the music I'll play just for you, will you?~" And so Shiva takes out her Icy Flute and begins to to play a soothing melody for Huge Cocancer, if necessary it too is amplified by the FrozenRoar. Both Terra and Heart have received an instrument from The League that calms Pokemon as well as a reward to defeating Deoxys Prime, so how about we all three play music to Huge Concaner in sync?

Ventus is monumentally relieved that his dearest and the rare collector agrees to boogie off the TITANIC COCANCER, giving her a quick and highly enthused smile at her decision, so much so he doesn't have any issues with them carrying out their plan to soothe the big beast with their Frozen Roar and Artifact amplified instruments before deciding to fully retreat from the situation. Hey, if it gets them off the BIG crab and out of immediate harms way, he'll gladly humor their requests - he said as much in regards to using the Frozen Roar to continue negotiations in the first place (if more than a bit gruffly) ! Terra's also relieved by the mystical lass' plan, sharing a small but grateful smile before quietly requesting if he could share Tropius as a FLIGHT mount - he forgot to bring a FLYING Pokemon with him, embrassingly enough, and he really doest want to try SURFING away from the 'island' or asking Ven to share their draconic brother instead (or worse, have Haziel Super Teleport them to the mainland).

When it comes time to Perform for the TITANIC COCANCER, Ven becomes taken aback and then angry when Heart attempt to get right up into its grill to play their instrument (but doing nothing about it, much to their growing frustration) while Terra brings out his Terra Cymbols (They have a + Bonus towards Ground types, which Cocancers partially are!) and began to try to clang them together musically and pleasingly as possible to pacifying the overwhelmingly Overgrown Pokemon. Let's hope this works, or he'll have to resort to even more drastic measures to stop it.....
