[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Eeeeeeeeeekkkk! \(º □ º l|l)/ Shiva flinches a bit when these Trevenant not only pay no attention at all at her words ("H-how rude of them! ( ._.)" ), but also start to attaaaaack!!1!11 She absolutely doesn't want to fight them, but she's having no other choice. She must defend herself then! \(>o<\ ) So much for 'she does not mean any harm', but it WASN'T her who started things! They can hate and rebel against humanity with its ways to harm and detroy nature as much as they want, but Shiva will not tolerate them to blindly attack any human because of that, d-don't they know that there are good people and environmentalists as well?

Wheeee, battle!~ Got some mechanical questions first though:

- The battlefield sounds really limited, as in 'surrounded by trees and Trevenant'. How much room is there for Shiva to send out Pokemon, any restrictions like 'only one having no higher Base HP than 4' or such?

- Will this, uh, still be an auto-win, is it really okay to decribe how Shiva wins? Yes she has grown so much and has become somewhat powerful in her own way, but I was wondering how realistic it's in this scenario and wanted to ask beforehand.

Nathan nudges Terra when Laurelin and Dagny mention they have ideas for modifications.  "This is probably a good opportunity for you if you want to take it, Terra."  (@Lord Windos)

But as for the fossil, yes, it should definitely be revived as is.  "Whenever you're ready, Professor.  And if it starts causing problems, my pokemon and I will do our best to subdue it quickly."

I think it would make sense to say you can only have out one terrestrial Pokemon at once. But you might be able to justify having an arboreal Pokemon out too.

You can always decide that your victory came with a drawback, even a major one!

"It will take three days - one to do some research and prepare experiments, one to modify the lab, and one to actually revive a fossil this large. I won't be using any assistants for this project, so it will take a bit longer. That's the price of safety and secrecy."

"That's perfectly fine.  Make sure to keep us updated, of course. If anything goes wrong, let me know ASAP."

When Ventus lays his gaze upon the Genesect Fossil once more, this time he is no longer enraptured by it. Instead, he has this.....melancholic appreciation for the Legendary[/i], as if looking at it gave and took away so many things to the eccentric researcher. This time.......hopefully this time a relationship with its kin will not end so cruelly or disastrously.

Terra, however, more or less shares the same level of fascination and interest in the fossil as the good Dr. Laurilen herself, in his own stoic and understated way. Such a magnificent specimen could have so much valuable data it could provide towards his own care and improvement of Arete, and beyond that it was a thoroughly exciting prospect bring back a Legendary from death's cold and rocky embrace. For better and/or worse, this Gensect has great potential to change everything , and he's calmly but tensely anticipating the moment that happens.

Ventus has no problems with the conditions and timeline of revivng the G.F. , though he'll be tracking and doing his own covert surveillance of the fossil expert to make sure she remains as honest and trustworthy. Terra would prefer Laurilin lets him assist her, but if she absolutely insist on doing everything alone he'll quite begrudgingly concede to her on the condition he gets her notes and some videos on the whole Revification process of Genesect. The sagely monk might not be a genius like her, but he's still a Skilled chemist and the closest thing of an expert on Genesects outside of Nathan and Ventus so he could have a a lot to offer (Like his own personal notes on Genesect, including nutriotional and biochem. data on it).

The only reason the orange haired scientist was not insisting on being directly involved in the project is that he was not that kind of researcher. His specialties lay in essentially Pokemon psychological, sociological, and behavioral study, conditioning, and control with a few notable other nacks, so any attempts to help Revive the Fossil would be like a Mexican chef trying to make a Italian meal with only the vaguest idea of what to do.

Ventus: "Indeed. I wish you much and great success in your endeavours, Dr. Laurilin."

Terra: "*Nods* Hm.....may you do well, Fossil Doctor."

I believe that finishes up the events surrounding Genesect for the time being, then.  Given everything that happened during today alone at Garlicburg, it's likely getting towards the end of the day now.

There's no other particular plans for today that Nathan had, at least.  But there's definitely events in motion that will need addressing in the coming days, including that of assisting the Lake Trio...

You can definitely start laying the groundwork for that, since we're thinking in terms of Weeks instead of Days now.

Terra leaves the group (I assume), makes a phone call, and waits. A few minutes later, he gets another phone call and says "I'll be right there."

You Fly to the secure staging area where your quarry is held. You're wanded and your Pokeballs checked, as you knew they would be, and you are admitted into the visitation room.

Let's see...laying the groundwork...well, that's mostly going to be various miscellaneous preparations for the time being, as there didn't appear to be much more that Mesprit was able to communicate about what this great danger caused by human carelessness might be...

- To start with, over the course of the week, Nathan would like to put Gallade through a little more rigorous training, designed to stretch the limits of his endurance.  This training is supplemented by rather expensive $20,000 vitamins, of course.  But it's completely worth it so that Gallade gets a +1 Vitality Surprise at the end of the week!

- If Terra hasn't gotten the Hauberk from the League yet to reverse the premature aging, Nathan would urge him to do so soon when an opportunity arises.  "We'll need to be in peak condition for what's coming, and the Four are at their strongest when they're together."

- Nathan's keeping a careful eye on his messages just in case anything urgent pops up.  Between Kelda, the Scimitars, and the Genesect Fossil, things have been getting rather busy recently...

- After all of that, I suppose the next thing that would be on Nathan's list of things to do would be finding the tallest oak in Earthstar Forest so that he can speak with Zest about possibly teaching a Flying type move to a certain pokemon...
