Keni doesn't turn, but he points his brush at a pile of unsorted furniture in one corner of the cottage. "Help yourself to a chair or stool, and even an easel if you'd like. I can paint while you talk."

He's out on the porch with all the doors of the cottage open, working on a landscape. As you move beside him, he does indeed look healthier. Not so much younger, just like he's in better shape.

Nathan raises an eyebrow at the sight of Keni being more fit at first, but shrugs it off.  Strange, but not so strange as to raise questions.  That could be due to any number of reasons, after all.

When Nathan pulls up a chair, he looks out over the ocean for a moment, both appreciating what it has to offer and remembering what little he's learned of what's to come.  "This view...it reminds me of some of my talks with certain pokemon...lots of memories here...both happy and sad, just like the port town's history..."

Nathan doesn't say much more at first, but it's not hard to see why some might consider this a good place to paint.  The view's good, there's a feeling of emotional expression hanging in the air (which may or may not be slightly related to the presence of a certain Legendary, given that Nathan's spoken with them near here before...), it's quiet and out of the way...

...and that makes this a perfect spot for what Nathan has in mind.

"I am here for painting, yes, though I'm moreso here to assist you with yours, to be honest.  Mr. Morgusi, I think it's about time I upheld my end of the deal we made when you created that card for me.  The pokemon I wish to show you is finally ready, and this spot...I think it's the perfect place for them to show you what they can do."  The young trainer looks to Gallade, and his friend nods in return.  He's ready.

Are Keni Morgusi and his paints prepared for the show?

Void actually sounds neat for the 5th element, though I kinda prefer to stick with Aether... Since I somehat link Scimitars with these classic elements, and the first time we were introduced to Scims I headcanon'd there being a top-secret and mysterious Aether Scim Order that acts like our world's Freemason's Order (◕‿◕)

No hints of Scimitar acticity at nor near these Sacred Groves? That's good, very good and relieving, Shiva was already overthinking and worrying about how to handle this best if there were on top of her pushing onwards in the hope to lift this mean Curse.

....And it eventually IS lifted! Oh the joy, oh the relief, of the immense exhaustion as she can finally pick up dearest Chi for  and close cuddle-hug: Shiva instantly lets herself fall backwards into the grass for a definitely-deserved breather, closing her eyes and doing nothing than breath deeply and rest right here at the spot for half an hour. The smol dragonfairy chirps and squeals ans barks(?) in happiness and delight over NOT having to worry about becoming a tree of the dead grove anymore, runs around in a circle for a minute and the slumbs down in Shiva's arms.

She gently starts to pet and stroke through the smol one's fur/scales/whatever-it-is. "Hehehe... That was... SCARY, now was it? *sniffle* Dear heavens, yes it WAS indeed... (>_<; ) " On top of being creepy af and traumatizing at worst, it's also was quite the experience - an experience for life, it seems. Nothing the dear and sensitive fae-enthusiast would wish to go through EVER again.

Oh right, and now she has visited every Sacred Grove in Creshire... Those are some interesting locations she'll note down later on her notebook exclusive for notes and lore about Shaymin. One step closer on this sort of sidequest? The next destination's already waiting ahead, she thinks! (And to me it's been fun to RP and more realistic than just winning with no side effects against a horde of angry Trevenant ^v^)

-----------------------------

A day or two and lots of sleep later, dear Shiva and her fluffy cottonball of a Startermon are on the run again, we seem these two eagerly heading down a Route... There's a sense of anticipiation, nervosity, as well as joy around them; and as the first signs of the town ahead come into view on the horizone they accelerate their steps. Shiva can almost HEAR this specific town having called her for oh-so-long, but never the actually journey of the group took them to this particular place, and now it's her alone that finally has made it to stop by to stay here for minimum a week...!

This town and place of course is

"That's exactly why I came here, too. Leaving Cress City, center of culture and heart of Creshire, was difficult. But here, there is a lot of inspiration that no one is taking advantage of."

Morgusi gestures at his canvas, and you see that the sea is a backdrop for the beachside cottage in the painting. He's left lots of open space on that beach.

"The canvas is ready."

There isn't an Aether Scimitar clan, but you'd be welcome to start one like Heart started work on a Fire Scimitar branch.

(Void is kind of another word for Aether, but it sounds a lot darker!)

Botanville

The university is the heart of the town. It's mostly an enormous hill, with many winding and redundant paths carving it up. Many go underground, as well, leading to fancy wine cellars, underground meeting halls, and little "hobbit hole" rentals. Even the Pokemon Center is underground. More commonly, the University has sponsored platforms built partially into the hillside. Most are decked with potted garden plants. These host some of the outdoor classrooms, but vendors have also taken residence on some of them, selling University merch, plants, Pokemon, and Pokemon items. (Prices are a bit higher due to the proximity of the Uni). There are also Travelling Teachers who are permitted to set up little booths on the platforms, offering free lessons on an extremely wide variety of obscure topics. History, mathematics, technology, food, hobbies, nature, and of course Pokemon. Some of the Teachers advertise "alternative education" which may not meet the usual standards for truth, like alternative medicine or weird theories about Creshire. One guy is just advertised as "PROFESSOR ASSEMBLAGE!" and is surrounded by little sprouting plants in HUNDREDS of pots.

As we ascend these squirrelly paths, we reach the crown of the hill. Immediately, our vision is obscured by the massive hedge maze that surrounds Telperion University. Taking a peek from Tropius' back, you see that more outdoor classrooms and gardens are hidden in dead ends within the maze. Lots of Pokemon live in the thick hedges, especially small Flying types and Grass types of any size. It is known that Exeggcute raised in the maze will evolve into a close cousin of the "Alolan" Exeggutor.

The Underground Library and most important Telperion buildings (there aren't many) are at the center of the maze. A constant wall of fruiting hedges, clearly distinguishable from the rest of the maze, leads visitors from all entrances to the elaborate center garden where these buildings are.

The Light of Creshire
Over them all arcs the massive Tree, almost as big as the Sentry Fern, bedecked with lights of every kind. Some are Pokemon like Illumise and Solrock, others are LED glow lights, and a few are very bright electric lights in different and varying colors, so that the Tree and its multi-shaded shadows are never the same, NEVER repeating. There are a variety of sundials beneath its boughs, measuring various complex things, such as seasons and weather, based on the combinations emanated by the Tree. Some teensy sundials are even dependent on the shadows cast by other, larger sundials, because everything in nature is intricately connected.

This Tree is said to symbolize all the knowledge buried beneath the hill and outdoor classrooms.

There's also a residential section of the town at the bottom of the hill, leading to a patchwork of farms. A few are owned by the Uni, but most are part of the breadbasket of Creshire. A lot of the buildings here are big old farmhouses or antique stone/brick buildings with quaint architecture. There are more shops there with crafts that have been almost lost to the ages, like quilting, spinning yarn, that kind of thing. You're seeing lots of Mareep, Miltank, and other farm Pokemon - whether they are livestock or assistants (Herdier).

(Kinda getting Hufflepuff-vibes from Telperion with its underground places and massive tree, and I'm looooving it! <3 )

This - THIS!!!1!1 - town/city with its Uni is so much different from what Shiva heard and read and therefor imagined about Telperion, but from her thrilled and excited manner from having caught the very first glimpse of it it's obvious that she's enjoying it a LOT! My, she's already starting to get lost in daydreams about moving into a small and cozy dorm carved into that hill and rushing towards her classes to study the art of Pokemon Care and Breeding as she gentlay pats Tropius' back to make him land nearby...!

Even the Pokemon Center's underground, how neat! Shiva appreciates the comfortable chill down here, it's great to escape the bright  and warm summersun of Creshire for a while. If the Center's underground, I bet she can get a room to stay that's likewise underground, can she? It shall be her place to stay and sleep for the time being!~ \(^0^)/

For too long the natural fae-enthusaist does not stay there, as she rather soon heads out again to explore ! She's going to take it slow, familiarize herself a bit first, mostly since she's still a tad bit...timid about visiting Telperion itself. But she's carefully-confident that she'll build up the guts to do so soon enough, yesss! (>∀<☆)

These plattforms build partially into the hillside are quite a view, what a clever usage of space! She also can't help but to wonder whether they're safe from rain and snow... Haha, imagining a class during winter, with a view into the sky of december and snow covering the town! THAT must be an experience, a quite unique and fun on - dear Shiva can't help but to smile and chuckle over that, and Whimsicott soon joins in doing so.

Let's take a look at these vendors and the merch they're selling first, since they're the closest right now! She'll do so accompanied by Whimsicott (resting on top of her head and having the best view), Nightshade (held closely and fondly in her arms) and Primal Espeon (loyally prancing by her side and sniffing at everything). These plants as well as Pokemon Items interest her the most - is there anything unique or just nice that one would only get here in Botanville? And anything that would simply 'fit' Shiva's chara and/or her Pokemon?

During inclement weather, you can hang out UNDER the platforms for a bit of shade/shelter.

You find lots of interesting food items (0$) that are neat because they are freshly grown or experimental. One vendor sells baked goods with hybridized herbs in them - just a single ground up leaf in an entire muffin packs enough zing to flavor it. He's got Lemonbalm, orange zest, basil, mint, Pumpkaboo spice, ginger, and a secret herb that tastes spicy and warm even in a cold muffin. You can also buy the herbs themselves (except for the secret one, of course). And he can bake Full Heal muffins for outside of battle at half the price of a Full Heal.

Botanville is big on decorative items for Pokemon. They make lots of pokeclothes, especially hats and kerchiefs. Many feature the Tree. You can also get a craftsman here to decorate any Held Item in a manner of your choice.

They sell cutting edge, nutrient-rich sweets here that are especially for Grass types. Most just change the flavor or scent of your Pokemon, but for $50 you can get one that allows the use of Sweet Scent, Aromatherapy, or Odor Sleuth after being consumed. (Grass Types only). They just temporarily add the move to your mon's known moves list, and the move disappears once used.

"Gallade and I have met a lot of special friends in and around Corsage Port, Mr. Morgusi.  Today, though, it's your turn to meet one of them.  Or rather, several of them.  Gallade, if you would please take your place."

Gallade walks over to the beach, and Nathan prepares to throw a pokeball.  "And a 1...2...3!"

The pokeball is thrown, and the dance begins.

The Art of Dance: Waltz - Final Fantasy II

Emerging from the pokeball in a flash of light is a pokemon that looks like Grid the Galvantula.  The spider pokemon circles around Gallade curiously, and the Blade pokemon bows.  The two of them continue to circle each other in a sort of strange dance, both stepping in time to each others' movements...

...and then a ton of feathers suddenly appear, hiding the two of them from sight momentarily.  The feathers flutter in the air momentarily, only to be burned away by spectral fire moments later, revealing Gallade now facing a Mega Delta Houndoom.  The two pokemon are now engaged in a mock battle, each swiping at the other and filling the air with psychic energy.  Neither are harmed, but the motions are practiced, and the attacks very much real.

More feathers, more fire burning them away, and Gallade is comforting a sad looking Delta Houndour next.  The two begin playing, and the dog pokemon looks very happy to have found a friend.

Another flurry of feathers obscures the two pokemon once more, and when they settle, what looks to be the Legendary Mesprit is flying in happy circles around Gallade.  Again, the Blade pokemon moves in time with his partner's motions, and the two of them dance as one.

New friends, old foes, and lasting bonds...Nathan and Gallade have seen them all in the general vicinity of Corsage Port.  One last flurry of feathers, and the scene changes one final time...

To reveal Gallade and a small, black and white pokemon that looks quite like a bird.  The knight bows to the artist, while his partner stretches out her wings in something close to a curtsy.

"Mr. Morgusi, may I introduce to you Juliet.  She is a Masking, a rare species with the same illusory capabilities as Zorua and Zoroark.  A lot has happened here in Corsage Port, and I'm not sure when or if I'll ever be able to tell the full extent of those stories, but Gallade and I wanted to show you at least a little of what we've experienced.  It's thanks to Juliet that we can tell the stories not with words, but with pictures and feeling.  Is that sufficient payment for the card?"

"What a wonderful use of a rare artistic ability! I can feel that everything displayed here represents a part of your journey to becoming one of the top trainers. I was never interested in rising to the top, or defeating others, or being the best in my business. But when I see someone who is, but still takes the time to appreciate art, I usually feel inspired. And right now, I do. Look at how your Pokemon, and Juliet's illusions, captured and took over this canvas."

He shows you his sketch of them dancing on his perfectly painted background.

Nathan gets 4XP.

Nathan can't help but smile, seeing the picture of Gallade dancing with Juliet, images of both friend and foe in the background behind them.  So much history and emotion in just one picture...pictures truly are worth 1000 words (or in this case, much, much more than 1000, given how many events from this game the image lightly touches upon).

"They are but small portions of what Gallade and I have experienced, but I'm glad they could bring you the inspiration to preserve those pieces of history on your canvas, Mr. Morgusi.  Maybe in the future, we can tell you of a few more."

Nathan looks back over the water as he reminisces again on things that both have happened and may happen in the future.  His shoulders sag a little as he remembers the burdens he'll be bearing soon.

"It might be awhile before I'm able to pay you another friendly visit, though, Mr. Morgusi.  Things are changing in the shadows, where words and pictures fail to capture history.  Hidden forces are moving as we speak, and I'm trying to put myself in a position where my partners and I might oppose them if necessary.  I don't know if we will succeed, but if we do..."

Nathan turns back to Keni and gives him a slight, happy smile.  It's because of people like Keni Morgusi that Nathan is happy to bear those burdens.

"...then maybe you'll find a little more inspiration in what we've accomplished."
