[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
#51
Also I was mega surprised: Heart been called "Shaman Hero" it's not something I imagine to happen. Specially he be the one to written a book and publish to everyone. With all things considered, he probably dead by now after such long years, unless he still around, teaching the new generations about the past. I wonder if he have the power of Earthpower in this timeline or not. Would be cool to see how much he would have grown after so many years.

And how rare Pokemon he collect after such long time!

Neither did Shiva, so I do understand her choice made to undo it all, even if it meant...well, being seperated from Ven forever. I'd guess not even her heart made of near-gold and not even her love/feelings for him (despite everything that happened so far? Girl, how blind or dumb are you??) could fix him? I'd guess THAT'S what Ven meant when at some point he said something along the lines 'she will grow to hate him at some point? ...I don't know whether she really does or did. But I DO know that the very last thing she who had a a sheltered upbringing and has a bright future ahead deserves is long-lasting psychological damage and (no doubt severe!) PTSD from being unfortunately in love with a human monster (I'm sorry to say it that blatantly! Σ(°△°|||) ), so I GENUINELY APPRECIATE how she got basically 'saved' and how you despite everything found a good end for her, Windos! Very well done, very good loophole found and exploited!~

Do I think any less of Ventus now? Nah, not really. This is an AU. I like AUs! They're one timeline among many many many timelines, the butterfly effect is a f#cking scary thing to think about.

Honestly, I disagree that Shiva was 'saved'.  I'll go into why I'm thinking that during my analysis of the facts being presented once the final part is posted, but I'll say right now that there is definitely more to this story than what is being presented at face value.

Don't over-analyze things too much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ To each their own opinion and viewpoint. I'm certainly hyped to see how Part #4 will CHANGE EVERYTHING IN-UNIVERSE!

This bring a super important question: Did our characters had any descendants? Nathan was a piece of bad road, so I can bet someone did catch the heart of our favorite grumpy trainer, heh. Heart on the other hand...He did make one of his goals was to restore the ArcHeart clan. I wonder if the way he rebuild was though marrying and having many children, or maybe training some pupils and let them join the clan. It's been 60 years more or less, so he probably end up with someone. Or not, I don't know the decisions of this version of Heart.

Nathan canonically has a daughter...in the future of the original SR universe.  She's off on her own adventure in a different pokerole game.

In the Wild Lands universe, though?  No, and I can say there's very particular reasoning for that.

Wild Lands World Lore Part 4 -  Sigma-Mu

----

Time: 60 Years Ago -  ???

Terra, now christened 'The Traitor Hero' by Cheshire at large, and Cosh, now known today as The Supreme Magus of Scimitar Society – Acrowls Keter took his newly revealed People, The Scimitar, all the way to Sutalör. That man teleported all his People's infrastructure and great works, their priceless treasures and relics of great values - both what was already owned by the Scimitars and what the Traitor Hero took as 'rightful payment' - and all 10,000s of their people. Scimitar, Allied Magi, and the underground Magic Community that formed the backbone of the Scimitar's Magi society ....all that and more, he took what would now be known as The Mageocracy. There, they meet up with the Leaders of the region's government at the time and finalized The Deal they made years in advance, all in anticipation that they would be betrayed by Cheshire and its Heroes during the Time of Upheaval, as was  prophesied by their their Ancestor Seers long ago (or so The Council claims).

It was as follows: In exchange for the Scimitars being able to form their own enclave nation within Sutalor - in the event that they had to immigrant to the region enmass - and controlling stakes in other settlements/industries/resources, to being acknowledged The Scimitar as their Own Independent People and given all due rights thereof, a bevy of diplomatic rights/agreements and magic-enforced pledges to 'not dictate nor make unreasonable demands on how they use their Magics, conduct their research, and practice and uphold their cultural lifestyles', full access to all Pokemon and Relics they could get their hands on in the region, 'Equal and Fair Trade and Cooperation between them in All Regards' , etc, etc.. --->

* Pay a LARGE lump sum of wealth to the government of Sutalor
*Share with them their MagiTec and collaborate with their own research, expertise, and Insight into efforts for their region development
* Their would be Sutalor members involved in their government structure, to act as liasons, diplomates, and members in their own right
* Given access to a certain percentage of the Powerful and Magical Pokemons they had, as well as 'fair and equal rquests and usage of their own Magics in matters of the region'
**Both would enter into a mutual Alliance with each other, having each other's backs in any conflict or political situation, against and through domestic issues and the wider world at large

** The Sutalorians would offer a select few members of their Ace Trainers as Ace Extra General Investigive Services (A.E.G.I.S) for the Scimitars to use to help manage their territory and help in legal matters with Sutalor, while the Scimitars would offer their best Combat Mages for the Settlers to make Mage Extra Task Agents (M.E.T.A) as a special actionable group of 'war-wizards' to help settle conflicts above, beyond, and Strange usual conflicts

** They would share the usage of The Artifacts when necessary 'against threats to the regions, here and abroad' , and they would have open borders and equal and fair treatment between their nations for all time....

And more, and more...

Terra delivered was was agreed upon, and he, Cosh, Vader, and the Council of Scimitars at the time all swore oaths to do as Promised. In turn the Settlers swore to uphold all agreements and Promises to the Scimitar People. Both shook hands and embraced each other that day twice. Once, in private before a gathering of Scimitars where the Capital of the Mageocracy  , Arc Sanctum Terqua: AST, would be. Once in Bayhama, on stage before the watchful eyes of the Settlers and the World.

Thus began the Mageocracy, and the beginning of the Scimitar-Sutalorian Coalition , an alliance that continues to this day.

The reaction from the rest of the world was mixed.

Cheshire declared them to be 'Persona and National Non Grata' in all their lands and territory, and enacted closed borders, trade embargos and sanction, and Revoked the Sutalor and Scimitar People's rights and access to the League Trainer License System and participation in The League; The Coalition did the same in turn and quickly created The Open Trainer License System and the Free Trainer's Association (FTA) in response for their own citizen's use and for any Region that wished 'freedom' from the grips of Cheshire control.

Tohjo, Hoen, Unova, Almnia, and The Orange Islands banded together against with Cheshire against the Coalition, all sick and way of 'Team' styled organizations and finding what the Scimitars/Terra did - and the fact they got away with it and not made into disgraced villains - 'wrong on each and every Level.'

Sinnoh declared neutrality in the ensuing political firestorm, not wanting to risk previous long-standing agreements with either Region and feeling any interference would be 'against public decency and The Emotions, Will, and Wisdom of their sibling Regions' ; Galar and Kalos followed suit, if for less moralistic and more capitalistic reasons.

Orre, Forre, and Alola, seeing an opportunity to break free from the controlling yoke and overshadowing influence of The League and finding the Scimitar's actions that, while extreme, were 'fair and reasonable in light to their sacrfices and contribution to the People of Cheshire,  eagerly allied with the Coalition. Paldea joined some time later, after a series of political disagreement and disputes with Unova over shared lands and 'several violations against our citizens rights and egregious peacekeeping,' broke their previous treaties with Unova and joined hands as allies with the Coalition.

Sutalor, in tandem with their newfound partners the Scimitars, entered a rapid age of technological advancement and general development period, accelerating the growth and increasing the overall power and value of Sutalor. This became known as 'The Golden Age'  , with several technological and magical breakthroughs revolutionizing the FTA, including the Warp Ways, improved and affordable healthcare, The Magical Ansible Communication Network (MACN) tech, Portable PC and Healing Centers, Reusable TMs, new and improved Pokeball designs, and a bevy of Pokemon and Trainer goods, among other things. ...

Magic became a reviled thing in Cheshire Allied Regions, with several laws forbidding it and demanding 'the complete dissociation of all information regarding it (magic) and subsequent destruction of their own Magical Knowledge and Items' . This, predictably, caused the Magi of these regions to flee and join various Coalition states, a large portion joining up with the Scimitars, as they held 'no unreasonable restrictions' on the practice of Magic and following beliefs thereof.

Scimitars and Sutalor mass development of Dig and terraforming technology upset and worried the Mrufe'Lepia, as they considered it a threat to the personal safety of their people, borders, and general lands of The Tribes. The Scimitars cold and dismissive attitudes towards Lepian own Magical beliefs and practices only further soured relations between all People in the region - to say nothing about how the Tribes viewed the Scimitar's use of Magic as 'horribly unNatural and Dominating.'  Their callousness disregard regarding how they treated their Native Pokemon, the Scimitars own incursions on their lands, and the take over of the Islands of the Mageocracy themselves didn't help matters either.

Music: Wandenreich War Declaration Theme

Eventually, tensions boiled over. Nobody is sure what started it - the Scimitars claimed that the Mrufe engaged in a hostile Ambushed a group of their researcher mages on their borders, with the intent of driving them out and away or 'bury them' . The Mrufe argue that it was a group of Combat Wizards trespassing and trying to poach their Pokemon and take other resources. In any case relations soon dissolved between the Scimitars, Settlers, and Lepia , and everyone began marshalling their forces. Soon, 'The Second Bushland Wars' commenced.
Scimitars and their War Mages, with their Magi Tech , Magics, and war doctrine forged in the fires of Cheshire's history, and together with advancements in siege breaking capabilities, quickly broke through the defensive zones that once made Mt. Twinspires unassailable. Earth Scimitars used their mastery over Rock, Ground, and Steel to collapsed and destroy caves, tunnels, homes, and entire portions of the mountains, bowling over the Mrufe'Lepia . The Settlers, embolded by their Golden Age and their myraid successes thus far, quickly swept in, putting to good use all the Native Pokemon they've been Training for just in this kind of event. The Lostlorne Taiga, once an twisty death trap to outsider of ill intent, was rendered navigable and 'tamed' by Anti-Magic and Spiritual Wards the Scimitars developed - the Hez'Lepia, not wanting conflict in the first place, quickly surrendered once armed forced reached their settlements.

Together, both People eventually broke through Mt. Twinspires, Lostlorne Taiga, and its defenders, and for the first time the Settlers and newfound friends expanded into East Sutalor.

The Romru'Lepia of the Maroon Bushlands , seeing the breaking of their fellow Tribes' defenses, took to the style of gurrila warfare like the Gomruve'Lepia and their Dire Dartz allies in the Picaross Mangroves and their adjacent Gathering Grounds, engaging in constant harassments attacks, debilitating distractions, sabotaging supply lines and crippling reinforcement/Capture rallies, and conducting all manners of Ambushes. The Cenao'Lepia, eager to resume old grudges against the Settlers due to taking over their Islands, swiftly engaged in piracy and coastal warfare with the help of their fleets; some of them even went so far as to use their/cooperate with Wild Sutalorian Jellicents and Wandering Hurricanes to sink ships and invade their costal settlements. The Water Scimitars, taking a very dim view of setting Pseudo Tier Pokemon, marshaled forth to meet them, unleashing their vilest Curses and Summons upon them all and using WHIRLPOOL to drown them in turn - to this day these factions are still at war. The Smelta'Lepia, concerned but bold in the face of the ongoing war, entreated with the Beliaddon and Roaring Moons of the Ferrovolcanic Floodplans and elsewhere; together, they marched as Legion to meet with their Coalition's armies.

All was Chaos, in those trying years. For awhile, it looked as if The Calamities would join the fray, stirred by and intrigued by the unparalled malaise of feuding and violence; in turn, the Traitor Hero Terra and Acrowls were poised to march in opposition.

Just as things were reaching a fever pitch, and it seemed like the entire Region would turn red, it Happened.

Time: During the tail end years of 'The Second Bushland Wars' and _______

Sutalör was not the only land embroiled in conflict.

No, their was one other nation that fell to songs of war, sung so silently and swiftly:

Unova.

From the shadow they sprung - Enigma, lead by their Leader bearing the same name, with organized armies of Shadow Pokémon. Swiftly, they blitzkrieg the all the cities, using the overwhelming might and brutality of their Dark Hearted beasts and partners to attack key targets and weakpoints with cold efficiency that spoke of great coordination, preparation, and planning. Trainers and the Unovian government trying to fight back would soon learnt a horrifying Truth - Enigma had Technology that could remotely Seal Pokeballs and, if pressed, covert their beloved Partner into incontrollable Shadow Pokemon on the spot, both often leading to grisly results.

Engima themselves took especial care to decapitate their strongest forces, isolating and capturing or killing their Aces, Gym Leaders, and even the Elite Four and their Hero Champions, using the overwhelming frigid might of Black/White Ice Kyrum (Cold Star), Dark Star, Morning Star, and his team of Perfect Shadow Pokemon. With him as his personal enforcers were The Shadow Triad , helping coordinate his blistering war and covert takedown of the government - and Ardos, once Admin of Cipher Pol, constantly on the frontlines wherever he was needed to crush what resistance could be had.

Before even a year had passed, it was over - Enigma, Team and Leader, had taken over Unova

Music/SE: Ringing (Set your Sound low for this one)

The People and what few key government official that survived fled from their nation; not all who did made. Enigma quickly locked down borders, imprisoning or dispatching anyone that tried to cross of flee the Region. Those that did - among who was the sole remaining Elite Four Member The Immortal Author Shauntal - formed The Unovian Free People with her as their President; the bulk of their People and their leader reside in Almnia, who were swift in offering them aid and safe haven, keenly aware and empathetic to their plight.
Enigma christened his newly conquered lands Neo Unova, and on that day made a World Wide Broadcast to commemorate his achievement.

That day that would become known as Ragnarok

------

Music: Boom Boom Boom

"Greeting. If you are unaware, I am Enigma. Leader of my organization Enigma. *Chuckles* Yes, yes how egotistical me. I do believe it's warranted, for I have done what no other 'Team' has done before: I have taken over a Region. Hence forth it shall be known as Neo Unova, and I shall lead it to the future. A future ascent of Humanity....and the downfall of all that would check and oppose them"

On the screen is Enigma, on some stage and in front of a pair of curtain. They were clad in what appeared to be a fine black-suit coat, opened wide to reveal the grey kimono-like robes and black-wrapped feet. they wore. Every inch of their skin was covered with some black, impossibly form fitting material - or perhaps they had dyed it. Covering their head was a round, black, faceless helmet, save for one feature: a giant silver 'X' across it.

"Too long, has Humanity been stagnate. Fearful of making the Grand Progress we're all capable of, utilizing the full extent of our Creativity, our Industry, and our limited Drive to be Better than before. Fearful because of the Legends of the World, the 'keepers of Nature and Balance'."

The tone of their voice turns mocking and disgusted as he finished the line, his spite and vitriol clearly conveying what he thought of such a thing.

"Yes, the Legends themselves. They have kept Humanity in a little box for all these ages, never letting us Progress too much or become as Big and Mighty as we're capable of. If we dare want for, Dream for more? They would cripple us, and have our Great Works destroyed. Look thoroughout history, and you can see all the signs. Pokelantis, The Kingdom of Giants, the once Indominable Sarimanok. All Undone by the Legends, in one fashion or another. What do I say to these eons long Travesties, the egregious actions of our 'so called' Minders, to these Holier Than Thou Pokemon? No more."

Enigma snapped their fingers, and the curtains behind them opened.

Music: Stops

They revealed none other than the Heroes of Unova, Hilda and N, along with their accompanying Legends Zekrom and Reshirim. All bound and gagged tightly by chains of Ice, glowing with pitch black umbral energy. Beneath them, and elaborate  Ritual Circle, which lines and symbols blurred and danced, never staying so still and static.

And at the center of it all was wavy Sword; zoomed in, runes were carved into the blade in Old Unown.

They spelt out the Name: [L æ v a t e i n n]

Errily, Enigma glided backwards, propel by a unseen force, right next to the Sword. Smoothly, they took it in hand, pulling it out of its pedistool, and held it up high.

"No more. No more of your admonishments. No more of your edicts. No more of your stifling. NO MORE!! YOU THINK YOURSELVES INVINCIBLE BEHIND YOUR LEGENDS?! THAT THE POWER OF NATURE, YOUR CONNECTION TO THE EARTH AND HEAVENS, PERMITS YOU TO DO AS WANT?! I SAY NO!!!

[L æ v a e i n n] ignites, a Colorless yet Dark, Darker, and Darker Flame coating it, the Runes alighting with a photonegative glow. Enigma blazes too, unharmed, the very same Flames as their Aura.

"NO MORE TYRANNY! NO MORE, I SAY!!! TODAY IT ALL ENDS!!! I SHALL GRANT SUFFERAGE TO HUMANITY!!! I SHALL OPEN THE DOORS TO OUR FUTURE!!! I SHALL BRING ABOUT......

Engima whirled around -

*TWACK!*

*TWACK!*

The heads of the Heroes rolled.

"THE TWILIGHT OF THE GODS!!!!!!!!"

*Ssssssssssssssssslllllllllllllllllllllllll!@#$#$%^&*^&$#&%^$^%#%&*^%*&^%%$%$*&^%*#$%^&&^$%^#@#$*&%#$%*&^W@%^$

------------------

That day, Enigma, sacrificing the Heroes of Unova and The Dragons of Truth and Belief with æ v a e i n n ] , and enacted [The Twilight of the Gods].

Instantly, irrevocably, every Legend in the world roared out in horror, pain, and a feeling indiscernible to mortal.

For that day, Ragnarok , they all lost their connection to the Heavens and Earth.
No longer were they Empowered by such Forces, to be completely beyond Man and Common Pokemon alike. No longer were they Invincible to everything, save for their rare and obscured Banes. No longer did they command such Mastery and Control over the Domains and Unique Powers that helped made them Legend, were their Legend.

No longer were Legendaries Divine.
They had be rendered Mortal.

FOREVER MORE.

Despite this grievous, grievous blow, the Legends were still immensely powerful. A single one alone could destroy armies, ruin nations, and change the world.

But now?

Now they were vulnerable.

Weakened.

Armies might die to their wrath, but armies more could slay them.

They could ruin nations, but Humanity could Control them.

They could change the World....and now, so can anyone more than before.

Such was Ragnarok - [Twilight of the Gods]

--------

Neo Unova declared itself as a new Power That Be, their armies of Shadow Pokemon, Their Anti-Mon TechTheir Leashed Legends, and the World Changer Enigma serving as a sufficient deterrent against foreign retaliation. The Ideal Slayer, in a surprise move, declared they had no intent of world conquest: all they would do would rule their own region, and go about their own Way to Uplift Humanity to the Heavens and Beyond.

"Leave us be, or take my hand - regardless, we shall walk together into Dusk and Dawn."
Following the broadcast, Sutalor, the Scims, and the Natives, shocked to their senses by this Paradigm Shift and realizing just how close they were to the Point of No Return now, quickly made ceasefire and, later still, peace between their peoples. Things would not be easy between them all the People - with so much blood spilt and grudges go unanswered, it never would've been - but once more, slowly, Peace would be restored as they all tried to find their footing in this New World Order...

Various Team styled groups and opportunists around the world jumped at the golden opportunity that was handed to them - Legends they could actually reasonably control, if they could pay the price? Far too Alluring a possibility to pass up. This subsequently plunged most Regions into Chaos, the various Leagues and their Important Members far too busy putting out fires and stopping these Evil MORONS from pushing the world into further Ruin in their short sighted greed...

Galar's President, upon receiving all the news, quietly decided to selve his plans for Infinite Power, and decided to go about other ways of providing energy for Humanity. Too risky and stupid to enact them now, and besides - he was no longer so limited as he was before. The future was undetermined...but perhaps his dreams could still come true...

Paldea would scramble to secure their territories and guard against the Neo Unovians. In light of the fact that one person had managed to take over a Region due to cunning and brutality against a mostly unprepared and defenseless population, Paldea made a bold and revolution decision: they would redesign their Schooling System and League System from the ground up. Mandatory Trainer and Disaster Readiness Programs in all education institution for all ages, with further education and Training opportunities to those interested in pursing higher callings of professional monster wrangling.

The best of the best would go to Naranja Academy, where they would be groomed to be the next generation's Aces, Rangers, Gym Leaders, Elites, and Champions. No longer would a single Champion reign over Paldea - one would be made Chairman of the League, Head Champion, the best in Battle and Peace, and any who bested them in battle being made into Champion Class Trainers. Those Champions would be taken under the wing of the Head, The President of the League, to be prepared to handle any crisis to their nation and, one day, become their successor....

Paldea's Researcher community was given greater funding and free reign than ever to develop their own Tech to counter and guard against Enigma and any other sudden Ruinous Power; this allowed a certain pair of Professors to slip under the radar, letting them conduct their Temporal Experiments with impunity until one day....well, you know the story....

Cheshire, witnessing and forced to endure yet another affront to all Ideals they held sacred, all but declared war on Neo Unovian. Their Heroes, Shaman 'The Black Flame' Heart, Dread 'Dead Shepard' Howard, Law 'Order's Enforcer' Vincent, and Champion 'Fairy King' Nathan, one and all, declared that what Enigma did would not stand. That one day they'd get the reckoning the deserved, for their unspeakable Crimes and Blasphemy against the World....

Engima laughed.

"I welcome you open arms to try, oh Iconoclasts of Tyrants. It is as I said: we shall walk together. Whether in prosperity, or in ruin, what done is done. Together, we all shall come to the same end: Freedom and the Future."

Such was what he said; hostilities between Neo Unovia and Cheshire persist to this day, both waiting for when the other Pokeball would drop.

Thus, was The Ruinous Age.

The Journeys of Tragedy, The Cheshire Disaster, The Deoxys Crisis

The Sevenfold Betrayal of the Traitor Hero

The Second Bushland Wars.

Enigma's Shadowy Revolution.

Ragnarok.

The Age of Turmoil.

Thus is was....

Time -  Present Day

....Now no more. The Ruinous Times are now over.

The Regions have recovered, all finding new ways to survive and thrive in the New Age.

Animosity, strife, and concern still clouded over them all.

But the worst was over.

Everything would be fine.

People and Pokemon alike refused to remain down.

Boldly, they go -

To make the most of their lives, like us all.

Boldly, they go -

The Heroes of this Tale.

To Sutalör.

Sutalor.

The Land of the A’ru Rarii.

The Wild Lands of Opportunities

Why is it they go? What do they have to prove? How will it all end for them?

Hoo hoo, hum hum....

No matter, no matter.

Worry not.

For soon we shall see -

What they will wrought.

END OF PART 4

Okay.  First of all, let me say this.

Okay, so, quick summary time to recap what we know now about old characters and how that might impact this campaign, starting with my character as he is the focus of the most relevant changes.

- Nathan lost almost everything.  He never freed Mesprit, and losing Kirlia to Seikamater would have severed that connection permanently.  A Mega Diancie would never be able to fill that void.  Terra then betraying what was left of the party and siding with the Scims was the last straw.  Nathan has snapped.  This is not the nice Nathan with a love of pokemon and realistic goals we knew in SR.  This is a Nathan with an extreme drive for self improvement for power's sake.  He knows exactly how strong he needs to become if he's ever going to be able to defeat Terra, and his bias against the Scimitars is magnified several times.  He is self righteous, bitter, resentful, distrustful of almost everybody, and extremely jaded.  He is an extremely dangerous person to piss off, and Terra, the Scims, and Enigma have done so in spectacular fashion.

Everything I said about him possibly encouraging Scimitars that were less traditionalist?  You can forget that here.

...I am trying so hard to not cry as well, ngl.

*inhales*

Moving on...

- Shiva.  Oh Shiva...so hurt to see what had taken place, she straight up abandoned the party...I hated to see it too.  Especially since as a Guardian of Time, she'd likely have to live with that choice, that knowledge that she abandoned her friends in one doomed timeline to supposedly save them in another, forever.

Maybe she'd be happy with it, especially compared to the alternative.  It's not for me to say.

But I don't think such an existence is typically a happy one.

With great power and knowledge come great responsibility, and great actions have great consequences in Windos's games.

Maybe we'll see her again.  I'd hope so.  Because from what we know of time travel in SR's universe, Celebi cannot change the past, but that doesn't mean that your actions didn't have an effect on the future.

- Ventus: it's not said what happened to him, so I can't really speculate much on this.  He could have been too far gone to be of much help to anybody after saving Stair City.  Or maybe he still found a renewed purpose working directly with the Creshire League like he did in SR, but now sharing similar goals to the new Champion Nathan.  I don't know which is more likely, but neither is happy news.

- Heart seems to be the only one to have escaped being directly affected by these tragedies.  He's the last bastion of visible hope among Creshire's heroes, a comforting fire on a cold night.

But he is just one man, and one man can only do so much to elicit change.

I would be glad to see more of Heart, much like how I dread what we might see of this ruthless Fairy King who's now Champion of Creshire.

There are details from his telling of the tale that interest me though, mostly because of the lack of detail.  The wand that Shiva found, for instance.  Maybe it's important, maybe not.

The rest of the tale...

...

...

...no, I don't think I need to analyze that right now.  It's more self explanatory.

...

...ya know, for a campaign that didn't need to dive into old matters, this is really diving into old matters.  At the very minimum, Terra and Cosh are going to be relevant.  And where Terra and Cosh are, this new Nathan is  likely going to be hunting for them...

Could be debated how canon Spira's grandson (from his intended ending) is in the original timeline of Skull Ruins. I could say that it still happened in some fashion off-screen. In this AU? We'll see...

*Stares*

....Well.

I...didn't....I.....huh.

Shit.

I knew I brewed something wicked potent, but to actually move somebody so much....its humbling.

*Deep breaths*

Okay. Let's do this now.

First, what you created about Nathan for Wild Lands is Canon now, for the most part. There are a few pieces of information I forgot to mention that I intended to mention, and some things to add onto your tale, and will do so now:

1. Marco was eventually released back to Cheshire and Nathan's Care....10 years later, as the Scimitar Council ruled he'd be imprisoned for that length of time for the crime of attempted Betrayel and using Magics even they considered horrible - Trapping Magics are considered VERY dark for all the terrible applications they have. The Council actually wanted him dead for nearly screwing them all the way back to the Era of Kings, but Terra and Cosh of all people ruled in favor of lenacy. From what he reported he was actually treated quite well - he was kept in a secured location with no way to contact the outside world and away from his Pokemon, but the place he stayed in was rather nice, he got 3 good meals a day, was regularly kept up to date with world new and especially what was going on with Cheshire and his son, and got the chance to pick up some new Specialties and visitation rights to his Pokemon every few weeks. He even was gifted a Malefic Monstrum,  for excellent behavior, 'positive reflection on his actions, even if unrepentant', and actually help the Scimitars out with something Classified of his own free will - Marco was not talking about it, for whatever reason.

The ones responsible for this? Cosh - now Acrowls - and Terra - they personally oversaw his imprisonment and treatment, no one else. They even went so far as to make sure he wouldn't get Stolkholm Syndrome, or anything like that, from his isolation imprisonment with pretty much only them as company 90% of the time.

When he was sent back - via a Auto Piloted boat back to international waters, a rescue beacon sending out SOSes to Cheshire, his Mons, enough food to last him months, and a hidden Water Scimitar Spec Op keeping watch to make sure no one else got him - Marco was in relative good spirits, if....worn out from his imprisionment and saddened by how everything every Region was spira1ing down the drain....and seeing for himse1f at how BAD his son has gotten since his abduction. With him, he had one thing for his son - a letter for his son, from Terra.

Most of the contents....I'll leave it to imagination. All, but this line, which managed to get leaked to several League Governments -

'....If you still hate me as much as that day.....if you desire revenge and Justice for how I wronged you.....then one day. One day. ....One day, we shall meet. When I have settled my affairs, made sure my people's future is safe. When you have done the same too. We will meet. No armies, no friends, nothing. Nothing but us....and our Partners. We will meet, together, alone. To settle things....as you like. Once and for all. This, I promise to you.

Nathan....it is too late for me to say this, but know.....know that I'm sorry for what I had to do.'

(You can choose one Malefic Monstrum - Marco has it, and your PC would have a bit of Intel on it, received through whatever means you think is appropriete. )

2. The Wand was actually a Relic from Anthenum, from a Witch of Prophecies and Omens. This enhanced Delphox's Future Sights and abi1ity to share her visions.....and made it easier for the fox to sway her Master against Ven by showing her things.

3. Heart was directly affected by the tragedies, but he is as you said - still a Good Hearted Hero, always looking after the lands and the next generation, Human and Mon alike. Here's a hint - it's why he got the epithet  'Black Flame' appealed to his Hero Title.

That, and yes, I do plan on him being featured more in the Story I'm weaving. In what ways...you shall see.

4. Nathan is still friends with Heart, though the later not being so gung-ho about starting shit with the Scimitars - no matter how much he'd ADORE stragging those bastards over Giratina's Domain - due to not wanting to throw the world into another Age of Turmoil has left things strained.

5. Nathan adopted a child, an orphan that had....similar BAD circumstance thus upon them, and who had a knack with Pokemon like his Dad. He adopted them while his Father was in prison - it was sure a big surprise for the man, finding out he'd become a Grandfather like that. What the child to grew up as, and what they ended up doing....I shall leave it to you.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
