This impromptu-break sounds like an opprtunity to potentially and maybe progress in PrimalShadows, Dragonstrike, unless you have other plans already of course!

That's what I was thinking!  Been wanting to get back to PS, but got sucked into WL and getting back into the swing of Shattered Earth as well.

*Shrugs* As I said, I was holding off due to errands and catching up on other stuff, and that remains the case even now - things have gotten busier that I anticipated, and I need more time to see it all through. Plus I planned to hold off post for at least a week after you made this announcement, since I'm still holding firm to my promise of not completely overriding your game! Wouldn't be neighborly doing that, I believe!

In other news, might be until Thursday or Friday before I get the chance to get back to my game in earnest, mates, though if I do get in early before hand I'll probably have to cut back on the details for a bit. Either that or put Requests to Not Post until I finished up a Wave at Once so I ain't scrambling around to get to everyone, which will requires @ ing them everyone when I'm ready for replies. Before that I'll make my post in your Game Thread too, which I'm already in the process of brainstorming and re-reading recent events in your game...hopefully I'll be able to pick up where I left off easily enough once I use Plot and Character Refresh.

I'll be saying this again in the proper Thread, and further clarify what I said: I'll be resuming posting in my campaign, though it will be a bit slower than before. More specifically I won't be responding to posts until I have gotten 'done' with the latest batch - essentially everyone is going to be progressed forward at the same rate until I can increase my pace once more. Expect about 1-2 Responses to each Poster per Day, depending on how complex I have to write. Battles are likely to be less detailed too - I do hate doing that, but if it isn't some big ol' important Fight or something nasty going on I should probably just make the Battles straight to the point like Iron did them. The Test with Ianai is not including in this trimming, to be clear, as is any other Special Type of Encounters.

With that said, I'll be beginning to get out the first few posts. If you're patient you can wait for them, but I rather not keep you up or distract you until then: the posts will be there for you to respond to at a better hour for most. Not everyone is a night Hoothoot like me, after all!

That's totally fine and okay by me, my dear! I do greatly enjoy our detailed and visually-worded responses when it comes to Battles, that indeed, but there's not much of a point if it takes you hours to type up a single Round. Or so me feels.

Now that you'll be resuming to post, may I ask some further questions concering the usage and battling with Evocation Spells that came up on my end? Or you rather want me to save them for now and ask/post them right before a battle is coming up for my chara where I want to use said sspells to deffend myself?

Very well then! Beware my compilation of questions concerning the casting of Spells, and saying a heartfelt thankyou~ for reading and answering it all:

1. I've gathered all info you gave me about the casting and creation of Spells as a Scimitar in the 'Alchemy and Magic'-tab of Bernhard's charasheet. When you've got the time and mind, can you please give it a review whether it's all correct and edit/update if needed? It seems like a lot of info at first, though I tried to summarize and rehearse things as best as possible without undermining important things.

2. Can I use the move of one Pokemon as an Evocation Spell as the first Action, and then the move of a different Pokemon as an Evocation Spell as the second Action? Does this count as using two Pokemon in a fight? However since Bernhard does not participate in sanctioned Trainer Battles where it's 1vs1, no one can tell me I can't go 2vs1 if the foe is a particularly strong or dangerous wild 'Mon.
Example: First Action is Nasty Plot by Myra cast on me, second Action is Dazzling Gleam by Nirix cast and targeted on the foe.


3. Who is targeted by the foe if I choose to defend myself via Evocation Spells, is it me directly (Read: Bernhard takes damage) or does the damage automatically get redirected via the Gauntlet on the Pokemon connected to it, even if they're balled away?
Example: I'm making use of Zephy's moves via Evocation Spells, so any damage the foe deals is done to Zephy.


4. You said something about 'drawing upon the well of SPE Power you share (Determining how much SPE you dedicate to the Casting)' when explaining how Magic works for me, as well as 'you're able to comfortably wield The Special Power your Partner Zephy gives in anything you do with min. consequences in most cases' during Bernhard's Mini-Prologue - Is that related in any sense or is it not and meant when it comes to alchemistic creations solely? Can I channel more SPE than the Pokemon actually has into an Evocation Spell; and if that's indeed possible, what are consequences of doing so?
Example: I'm using Nirix's Dazzling Gleam as an Evocation Spell, he has 2 SPE. Can I burrow more SPE from Myra to cast a stronger Dazzling Gleam?


5. Does the Accuracy Roll of a move used as an Evocation Spell remain true and to be calculated, or are there different houserules or dicepools to be calculated?
Example: Using Zephy's Air Slash as an Evocation Spell for the first Action, Accuracy would be all her + Bernhard's Stats combined: 7 Dext (4 from Bern, 3 from Zephy) + 5 Fight (3 from Bern, 2 from Zephy) + 7 Channel (4 from Bern, 3 from Zephy) - 2 Actions = 17d6

Fuck, I check up on stuff and make an announcement, and I find the forums went/is going to go on the fritz again. Please oh dear heavens let my Thread remain unscathed....might be time to back it up in the wayback machine sooner rather than later...

*Sighs* As for the annoucement - apologies for my absence, but the Easter holiday period has been hammering into me work-wise, and between that and other things distracting me IRL I haven't found the motivation to continue to post in either campaign. I'll get on it soon enough when my time frees up properly, promise mates!
