[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

(...)For sitting at the table, casual as can be, was Morgana, a plate with some sort of whipped cream and fruity desert right in front of her, and a cup of tea close at hand.

Right besides her, relatively speaking, was Zephy, one paw on her face with a scowl as she glared daggers at the Fae Lady, her own breakfast - a plate full of syrupy fried Orans - barely picked at. 

A spot at the table with your usual breakfast fair was prepared, right smack dab in the middle of the two women.

Morgana finished a bite of her meal with, took a sip of her tea, and then daintily whipped away some whip cream on her before finally turn to face you, a warm yet coy smile already teasing her lips.

"Saluations and good mornings, oh brightest days from darkest nights, my dear. *Pats the side of the table* Come here, come hence, and break your fast properly at last, hmm hmm hmm .... ~"

Quiiiite the big red flag it is indeed, if Zephy was shielding herself from her Master's, Partner's and Wielder's insight that heavily! Dear heavens, Bernhard hasn't even started on the day yet and already feels like returning to bed, completely bury himself beneath the covers, and pretend that he's not there and not available. But that wasn't an option given how much there is on the mental to-do-list for this day, eew.

Can't say that Bernhard wasn't tempted to go for that option anyway though, very so, given who was waiting there for him at the table. He should have know... Say no more, that SUFFICIENTLY explains his artistic partner's foul mood, causing him to mentally facepalm. "Mor...gana, my dear......." Their gaze rested on her for a few seconds in sheer suprise, before Bernhard immediately janked his head away to look in the opposite direction. Or out of a near window. Or at the wall, which was suprisingly interesting all of a sudden. Heat combined with flustered coyness and embarassment raised up in him, and caused quite the meek blush appear on their face - their stoic fascade crumbled into pieces and dust, right here, right now and within mere seconds. Bernhard's mind immediately started to scream 'Don't look, don't you dare..., while a small but not insignificant voice also came up like 'Why not?! There's nothing you haven't seen yet...'

One bashful *cough* later, they take their assigned place - right in the middle of the two women, mind you! - and trying hard to play it cool as they poured a copious amount of cream into the blackest tea there can be. Their gaze switches between Zephy and Morgana back and forth, obviously feeling quite and utterly torn. The mythic maestro receives a genuinely apologetic look of "I'm so sorry I'm putting you through this...", while Morgana... receives a tender smile and a gentle stroke of her cheek with the back of Bernhard's natural hand (the blush is still apparent). "What a, uhm... pleasant suprise to see you this early... *looking away again, posture strenghtens* But, why are you here? Morgana, sweetheart, I am BUSY and OCCUPIED with important business, and f...frankly not in the mood, please..."

Bern's tone of voice of voice wasn't scolding or rebuking, no. Just...honestly wondering. Bit of a stupid question also, since Bernhard's got the feeling he knows why she's here.

Your most Fae and whimsical and vexing 'ally' could help but giggle in delight as you tried to avert your gaze, finding your bashfulness immensely adorable. 

"Why the fuss, do you avert your eyes a must? Is my brightness, eversoft luminescence, so Captivating you tear away thy gaze? Oh wow is me, you wound me so!"

She places a dainty hand on her forward, as if t swoon, leaning back in her chain and causing her to tilt ever so slightly, revealing even more of her legs from underneath the table. 

"Oh quit it with the theatrics already, ya monochromatic bitch, and get this 'sweet and neat sonjorn' over with already!"

Morgana huffed at that, sitting back down with a tut.

"Sour, not sweet, and so very spicy and bitter as always, my dear Zephy."

"Get Ferrothron shoved up your arse, you distorted psychopath."

"You would savor the most thorny path, dancing along with bleeding feet and full of Spite all the live long way."

"Says the one that can't speak more than three words without twisting themselves into soft pretzal."

"Hmpt. Of course, indeed, yes, goes the one to paint and doodle and trace and Sketch mess after scrawl after poor templates."

"Like your tea parties are any better."

"I say !"

.....Aaaaaand the two are bickering like a old couple that refuses to get a divorce, no matter how much they hate each other. You heave a sigh before you take your place and prepared your meal, going unnoticed as your partners continued their bitter feud. Most other men would be downright Grass Green with Envy at two magical ladies fighting over them, but the reality is that it is exhausting to deal with most of the time and dangerous the other. By the Powers of Magic that be, save him from this acrimony! 

Once you get settled in, you do indeed catch the Flowery Fae enchantress' attention, causing her to break off from her arguing and simply melt into your touch, trailing an wandering hand underneath your chin in turn. Zephy, meanwhile, groans and makes a gagging motion before rolling her eyes and picks angrily at her breakfast.

"Oh, yes, verily so, your touch so does sooth my weary soul. If only I could carry you around, shrink you down to be but a Maus, to scurry and play to waylay my dreay days."

"Urrrrgh. Get to the point before you two make me sick."

"*Huffs* Rushing perfection, setthing the stage so plain....poor taste, squandering paints, Zephy. *Looks to you* But yes, verily, I do come for a reason. Or don't you remember, is your mind's realm bee robbed by the restless spirits abroad? A refresher, allow me to give, hand in hand..."

With a flourish of her hand, she laid her palm flat on yours - and with a wiggle of her fingers and a wink she moved it away, revealing a Friend Pokeball in the center of yours.

" 'Give me a Day and a Night, and ye shall receive it, my Dear Breeze~'  *Heartfelt, closed eye smile* Your rightful Boon, a treasure most dear, representing the bond we share. Awhile it took, to decide upon the perfect nook, representing us and all we took, but believe I do that this little one shall do." 

Awe and fluttering in your heart, you carefully pulled up the holographic interface of the Friend Ball to discover what she got....

....And it was none other than a Spritzee, and a little guy at that. Looking at his data closely....

Moves: Fairy Wind, Acid, Spellbind* , Sweet Scent, Aromatherapy, Draining Kiss, After You, Protect
Ability: Intoxicate - All Special Moves this Mon uses has a 3D6 Chance to Badly Poison a Target; against Targets that are already Poisoned, Reduce their Accuracy, Insight, and Damage by 2/1/1 against you and  SPE - 3 other allies of this Mon's/User's Ability. Increase End of Round Poison Damage by at min. 1 (Scales with size and health, as well as PDs), and the negative effects of Poison and Fairy Type Moves while Targets are Poisoned are stronger. Scent Scent, Aromatherapy, and Follow Me have been enhanced or altered - experiment later to see how! Makes user Immune to intoxication, but not Poisoning.

Immediately upon Morgana feinting being wounded and 'oh woe is me~', Bernhard averts his gaze BACK at her, as if to say 'No, do not be! I did not mean to...' - and just as immediately he regrets-appreciates due to the tasteful revelation of more. Damn... Mentally he flinches away, but just as well he feels captivated, whether he wanted or not, regardless how much he did not want to acknowledge it. The flustered coyness and embarassment within him rises even further, that goes without saying...

Thankfully(!) Zephy intercepted and put a halt to things, even if it was in an unpleasant way aka via starting an argument and fight with her AGAIN. It being exhausting to deal with most of the time - at others, blatantly dangerous for both Bernhard AND Zephy themselves - was a stark understatement of the year, Bern feels like they'll never get used to being witness to and in between it. And frankly he fears getting used to it, because one misstep or interception at the wrong time might spell DOOM for their treasured artistic partnermon! No amount of the finest tea there can be could make this morning any less unpleasant, or so it feels for Bernhard in combination with still lingering exhaustion, being still magic-locked and therefor more vulnerable, and having the fateful delivery of a brewed up alchemistic creation on a cursed young girl.

Still he eventually speaks up, eventually having seen enough of it.


To Zephy:

She receives a frown, in addition to that apologetic look from previously - because frankly Bernhard's not too pleased with her and how she's behaving. "Oh you, Zephy, my treasured and destined partner..." *, suffering sigh, natural hand on forehead, while the other (the gauntlet'ed one) continues to pour cream into tea* "...We've TALKED about this. Numerous times, if you do happen to recall. You are...free and open to dislike and hate dear Morgana, this is okay and fine and I am none to blame you for it, but PLEASE do mind your language towards her, especially while I am present. *unimpressed staaaare* You are hurting someone I care about, which is not acceptable and will not be tolerated, as much as I value you, hold you dear and am ever grateful to be with you... I do not want something foul to happen to you, really not, not as long as I am around and able to prevent it. You are too important to me, you see?"
 

To Morgana:

Bernhard's gaze is drawn to her, but he refuses to directly look at her - too coy, too meek, too embarassed! In his mind, 'Don't look' and 'do look' are taking fast turns. "Morgana, my dearest..." *rests head on natural hand and arm, while the other (gauntlet'ed hand) started to stir the tea* "I do.... *cough* appreciate and VALUE your visit, but please save such...things for more..... private times and settings where it's just you and me. Please, not now and definitely not here, I'm here on business... *cough, lowers voice in an attempt to save Zephy what follows* "I... made you promise me something for my own peace of mind, when we... well...*sighhh*...'indulged a desire' the first time after one of the most strenuous meetings of the full Scimitar Council in quiiiite a while has come to an end at last, if you do recall, my dear maiden of flowers and fae..." (read: agreed promise is basically 'what happens in bedroom [both Bern's AND Morgana's], stays in bedroom')


Enough, enough, ENOUGH; Bernhard blatantly hopes that his words towards both will do and put an END at the two's bickering. For now that is.

Onwards to more pleasant (and much less embarassing!) things - the receiving of the promised boon, how could Bernhard ever forget that?~ Hoo hum...~ His gut feeling was right. She wouldn't need to...deliver it personally though, just sending it to him would suffice in his books....

Truly Amazing was an understandment (again), if Bernhard meekly recriprocating Morgana's heartfelt smile and looking deeply into her pupiless eye was any indication. "Zephy, dear... Please, be so kind and do me a favour, will you? Leave me and Morgana ALONE, for just shortly. I do wish to...express my utter gratitude towards her for a deal carried out fantastically and for a boon most appreciated and valued accepted and received. Please be so kind, won't you...?"

(Caution: Doing so may let things wander into nsfw-territory... Nothing too graphical or outright adult-themed, but still something I wouldn't want to state [and write, oh god!] openly for everyone to see. Via PM it is then, preferably?)

The Houndoom lay Fainted on the ground, a little ways in front of you. What shall its Fate be?

Darren uses a potion on himself to heal the lethal damage. He looks for a moment at the K.O.d Houndoom, he doesn't like doing this, but the poor mon gave him no choice in the matter. He reluctantly puts it down, and if he has the tools to do so, he gives it a proper burial.

Lethal Damage gone! Your Bugs sigh with relief at that, drawing away as you approach the fallen Houndoom with shadowed eyes.

Time to do like Ventus and put a bad dog down.

In the process of ‘disposing’ the dog, you decide to take some stuff with you from it, remembering the you have a Magi ‘friend’ and that Mon parts could be valuable to them:

* 2x Houndoom Horns
* 4x Big H Fangs
* 1x Houndoom Tail

Anymore would require opening up the dog and bagging organs, which isn’t something I will do auto (bloody work, too). 

After you temporarily Ball the dog’s remains for proper disposal later you hear a “Hey!” and see a young officer run towards you, looking worried, harried, and roughed up.

“You need to leave the area ASAP! A rabid Houndoom is in the area, and we don’t want anyone to get hurt!”

Bit too late there, buddy.

Regardless of how you handle the cop he’ll give you a booster shot against possible rabies and you’ll be let on your way - so ends your 2nd /Morning Encounter!

The Officer’s ‘Doom’ was not butchered, but getting a few kilos of dead dog appear right on top of you is still messy in the sense of being forced to the ground!

After that is dealt with - and the officer gives you the stink eye and is a bit rough with the shot - you vamoose!

Oz crouched in the ground and check the fossil. It is really beautiful. "We almost lost it sisters, but you manage to intercept the Raticate." She takes another look and then decided to send a message to Seddi/@Dragonstrike.

Seddi, Oz here! I found something strange here. It looks like some kind of a Fossil. Found in some alley in the mouth of a Raticate. It encased in ancient Hurtloam and studded with lapiz lazuli. It's looks like some kind of sharp scaly fin. I let you take a look next time we meet.

She put in the bag the fossil, and she decided to see what to do. She looks at the Greatball she see before. And decided to take a look. Or if not possible she will go to the Koffee place and send a message for Bernard!

Action: See what is inside the Greatball encounter of it to much hassle, Oz just going to Kudos Koffee and send a message to Bernard to where they meet! And have a moment of bond with her Pokemon!

Regardless, you decide against going to the Survival Center Tour in favor of trying to connect with that intimidating Scimitar, recalling your Mons as you make your way back. You are not quite sure this is a good idea or not, but hey, nothing ventured -

You hear someone behind you, and with Instincts somewhat honed out in the wilds of other Regions you spun around on a dime, catching what appeared to be some sort of goon in biker and sports gear flatfooted!

...Only to be Knockdowned and Grapple by another guy! WHAT THE HELL ?!?!

Struggling with all your might, you could not escape, and froze when you heard a deep, rougish chuckle that caused your hairs to stand up on end.

"Nice one, boys. Flip her over, a be gentle."

The goon was anything but as they slammed you on your back, and pinned your arms to your side, giving you a look at who was ordering these...hoodlums around!

Slicked back black hair, impeccably styled. Black sports coat, custom made and of decent quality. Leather jeans, and a belt with 4 Balls on it, One Normal, 2 Ultra, and one Heavy. A white dress shirt that had a circular 'BB' painted on the front. 

You don't recognize him, but from the dark look smoldering with barely contained ANGER and deep, wicked amusement.....you knew he meant you no good.

"If it isn't the little saint that ruined the fine work my big boy did. Took a bit to track you down, but after seeing you run off from that commotion at that music shop....well, how could I not introduce myself?"

He crouches down, teeth bared in a horrible grin.

"My name....call my John. And you.....well, I don't suppose you'll give me your name?"

For a second, Oz was happy in have such idea. But she barely had time to think with those thugs around her. That words John said…So he is the one who did that to Juniper?! Oz was furious! However, this is not the place to let emotions control her. Specially since she is outnumbered and without her Pokemon.
This guy, no matter she says, probably want revenge on her because of she saving Juniper. No matter what she says, she probably gonna be beat up or worse, so for now, she need to play along.

Here’s the deal - you fork over ‘bout … let’s say $2000 Poke , get a few bones in your hand broken, and we’ll call it even. *Shrugs* Or I can beat the stuffing out of you and let you become someone else’s medical case. Nothing more, nothing less, on my honor.”

His grin is mocking , and his angry eyes pierced right through you.

“What do you say? Deal, or…?”

Oz look at the gaze of John, and then look behind him, and then a little smile begin to show in her, a plan forming in her head.

"Well, I think you guys guys really should make a third option because some cops is coming in our direction."

To increase the level of "performance " Oz shout behind either the thug or John, whatever is in front of her!

"Police! A little help here! HELP!"

And while they are (hopefully) distracted Oz will start her plan. Time to use Oz "secret" trick we discussed in the PM. Hopefully the BBs will be to much distracted to notice Oz "trick".

Your avian knight gives you a salute with their leek-sword before with a *LEAP!* Off they were, bouncing up to the top of the buildings and joining up in one great big bird bustdown! Already you can see him try to keep the peace...before getting pelted with a rock to the bonce. Then things wents loony toons, as a great BIG dust cloud o' VIOLENCE ensued!

With a combination of your feline-fox agility , Psychic might, and minor clairvoyance you are able to skitter up the side of the building and up the roof once you reach it. Staring at the Big Ball o' Bird Brute ® , you don't know what the heck is going, but you DO know you need it to stop before anyone else gets caught up in it (or worse, the suits and police get involved!) .

The plan to make them stop is pretty simple: summon Slash and threaten a good ‘ole ice-type attack. It’s only super effective on my ‘mons, too, which is good - we're the problem here, after all.

Once Slash is set out - and briefly looks confused at being on top of a building - and releases a burst of Ice energy, causing all the birds to scatter and look at him with surprise. They huff and cross their arms, before pointing to you. As the flock turns their gaze to you, you have a few seconds (a lot of time with as much Psychic and mental energy as you) to come up with a good enough line to quell tensions. Or enflame them, if the latent Umbreon genes start acting up again.

You are...free and open to dislike and hate dear Morgana, this is okay and fine and I am none to blame you for it, but PLEASE do mind your language towards her, especially while I am present. *unimpressed staaaare* You are hurting someone I care about, which is not acceptable and will not be tolerated, as much as I value you, hold you dear and am ever grateful to be with you... I do not want something foul to happen to you, really not, not as long as I am around and able to prevent it. You are too important to me, you see?"
 
To Morgana:

Bernhard's gaze is drawn to her, but he refuses to directly look at her - too coy, too meek, too embarassed! In his mind, 'Don't look' and 'do look' are taking fast turns. "Morgana, my dearest..." *rests head on natural hand and arm, while the other (gauntlet'ed hand) started to stir the tea* "I do.... *cough* appreciate and VALUE your visit, but please save such...things for more..... private times and settings where it's just you and me. Please, not now and definitely not here, I'm here on business... *cough, lowers voice in an attempt to save Zephy what follows* "I... made you promise me something for my own peace of mind, when we... well...*sighhh*...'indulged a desire' after one of the most strenuous meetings of the full Scimitar Council in quiiiite a while has come to an end at last, if you do recall, my dear maiden of flowers and fae..." (read: agreed promise is basically 'what happens in bedroom [both Bern's AND Morgana's], stays in bedroom')


Enough, enough, ENOUGH; Bernhard blatantly hopes that his words towards both will do and put an END at the two's bickering. For now that is.

Onwards to more pleasant (and much less embarassing!) things - the receiving of the promised boon, how could Bernhard ever forget that?~ Hoo hum...~ His gut feeling was right. She wouldn't need to...deliver it personally though, just sending it to him would suffice in his books....

Truly Amazing was an understandment (again), if Bernhard meekly recriprocating Morgana's heartfelt smile and looking deeply into her pupiless eye was any indication. "Zephy, dear... Please, be so kind and do me a favour, will you? Leave me and Morgana ALONE, for just shortly. I do wish to...express my utter gratitude towards her for a deal carried out fantastically and for a boon most appreciated and valued accepted and received. Please be so kind, won't you...?"

Despite your fears of your Fairy Girllfriend doing something unpleasant to your OTHER Partner, this has rarely come to pass.  Namely because A) Morgana also enjoys these spats in her own strange yet understandable way (Frustrated and bitter Zephy is funny to her, and its rare that anyone actually dare argues with her!), and B) Zephy is fully capable of making the Fae Lady regret any acts of malevolence or trickery. It'd cost your smol artist dearly in the process, no doubt about it, but Morgana would suffer for any further treachery or acts against the both of you. For instance, the last time Morgana actually smacked down your fluffy friendo Zephay gave as good as she got by dying their skin purple and making her stink like a Grimer for a WEEK. You also heard her make passing remarks about 'Sketching up a bottle of 'Morgana Be Gone!' in bitter indignation at them being THEM, and you think if she was just a bit more powerful should could pull something off....

Still, enough was enough, so it was time to break this up before the two started flinging plates and tea cups at each other again !

Zephy reacted to your scolding exactly as you expected her: by crossing her arms and turning away, a resounding 'HMPT!' , a Icy Wind trailing across your shoulders to get her own point across. She could handle herself fine, thank you very much! It's YOU that she is so worried about and so angry at Morgana for, and your continued relationship with HER shall continue to drive her up the paint splattered walls until such time as that whole mess of a situation is resolved. Which, considering how unrepentant the White Woods Witch and YOU are about that whole sordid affair....yeah. You dig your grave and lay in it, buddy Magi boy...

Morgana had a hand against her mouth as was tittering as you dressed down your Partner, but appears surprised when her time came for a scolding. She crossed her arms underneath her chest and let out a huff, but as you sweetly continued and reminded her of those oh so soft and tender moment you shared she closed her eyes and let out a small sigh.

"Fine, oh very well, my sweetest Summer Breeze. Simply wanted to surprise you, liven your day up! , after so wearying and vexing, soul sucking and taxing, the prior day was. Nearly had a my heart stop, when new of the Pancea making you nearly drop and a Curse most vile was a-top, oh me oh my!"

"Your welcome for that, by the way. Not that it helped in the end, ya tardy witch..."

"*Tone turns Dark* I said I was busy most dire in AST, you dear rat! *Tone is Sad* Faith and past History, you and I have, to care for him at his weakest, made my refrain Painful, regretful, but easy-ful...."

"*Huffs* Yeah, yeah, whatever...."

Huh...so THAT was why Morgana was here - Zephy told her about your situation from last Evening! That's a surprise, but you suppose the smol artist is willing to put aside her distaste for your other Partner if it could help you...

Things turned awkward for a moment, as tends to happen when all three of you are in the same room for any length of time, but Morgana's gift and you lighting up like a Volbeat found its girl brought the cheer back. Even the mussed Muse had a tiny smile on her face (though neither you or Morgana could see it). It went right away once you requested some alone time, with her making a gagging face or incredulity.

"Wha - HERE?! You two.... GAH! Fine, fine! I'll be upstairs with the lil girl while you two....canoodle in someone elses' house ! By the Fine Arts....!"

*Zoom!* Off Zephy goes, leaving you all alone with Morgana. 

She briefly looked surprised at this sort of initiative, but soon her a sly, sweet smile bloomed, an air of anticipation forming as you drew closer to show how you truly appreciated her ....

"Show me, by all means and ways, my dearest and truest...."
