Full Name: Moldraith "Jamelão" (A type of red fruit who exist in Brazil)
Race: Kaijin
Class: Druid
Background: Galrasia Drugger.
Backstory: There a few things to unpack here before go into his backstory. In Tormenta 20, the setting is a world called Arton, a world with medieval style (although there a certain level of technology). And there some kinds of differents dangers such undead, a nazi type of group trying to take the world for only humans, evil gods, etc etc. But the greatest danger of all: The Tormenta (or the Storm). Basically the Tormenta is a basically a storm filled with Demons. Demons in the form of aberrations in insect form (which is unknow if they're true nature, since it is the only form mortals can percieve. Think as a Cthulu or elder evil thing). That "Storm" can infect a entire area, and turn into a Tormenta zone, where those "demons'' lives. They are caled "Lefeu". Tamura was once called the Jade Kingdom, land of Samurais and ninjas, but it was once consume by the Tormenta, and most of its inabitants (and structures) became the flesh know as Lefeu.
But...the Tormenta in that area was once defeated, and its lands freed. But, a few creatures, survivors of the turning of the Lefeu, still had wounds from that time. The Kaijin. Or half-human, half-Lefeu. They have a few traits of humanity, but have monstrous traits too, such as the red flesh in their bodies, and the deformaties in they're appearance. Moldraith is a Kaijin, and because of the monstrous appearance he was hunted down whatever he go. Until he invaded a ship and ship fall in the land of Galrasia, a continent with a deep connection with nature. Despite his monstrous appearance, he was adopt by a tribe of Voracis (basically, half-lion half-humanoid people. Years passed, and his tribe was almost attack to another evil tribe. And to save his people, he heard a call. The call of the goddess of nature, Allihanna, and summon a pack of wild animals. This became his call. He then years later, make it vows, and became one of the shamans of his tribe (even Allihanna had its doubts, since he was part a Lefeu, but even she could see a human spark within him). Then, he sees a vision. A vision with a city be consume by the Tormenta. A vision from Allihanna. He answer the call, and with his tribe help, he go to the continent, with his destiny set. He also craft a wood mask with a lion picture, both as disguise to avoid be see, and to pay tribute to his tribe. Now alone in the continent, he try to prevent the Tormenta in consume the world, and fight the Lefeus. Despite be a Lefeu himself.
Along with his knowledge in healing magic, he also a healer and a alquemist, due to his training in drug making thanks to his "Lion Mother", a Voraci who became his mother figure.
And that's it. He is the complete opposite of Bamboo, my other character. While Bamboo was "cute but monstrous character" Moldraith is the archetype of the "Kind Monster" a character with monstrous appearance and origin, but deep down he is gentle and kind. He also have the classic ability to turn into animal forms, but due to him be a Aberrant creature, his animal forms are more monstrous and bizarre. Better not angry this guy, unless you want to face a REAL monster!
The images you embedded are broken unfortunately, they don't show for some reason. The internet gremlins probably ate them. (._. )
But either way, what an eventful life Moldraith indeed had, oh boi! I like that, even if for my taste it feels a bit cluttered with meaningful event after meaningful events, but that does not have to be a bad thing. I do like how there's contrast between monstrous appearance + origin (half-Lefeu!) and an actually kind heart plus helpful nature (fighting Lefeu and being a healer), a classic trope. It also lowkey reminds me on Bernhard in this campaign here, that stoic and self-composed softie.
From what you're describing here, Tormenta 20 sounds like a setting right up my taste, I immediately had to think of Call of Cthulhu (my fave system) when you mentioned that looming edritch horror that is a Tormenta. Might check that system and its rules out then, many thanks for the hint!
Windos is quite busy with pharm college as well as his job and frankly did/does not feel like writing due to it, so expect some delay on your question (same for progress here). Damn you, real life!

No need to apologize! It is understable since life been making us pretty busy.
I already fix that. Imgur might help in bring that image to see once more.
Yeah. I try to resume his story to the most important parts of his backstory because there...quite a lot! MY GM actually make a pre-campaigh session with my char to help hang around with him, so I try to picture the most key moments of his story and put a little of lore dump from the setting itself. There a lot.
Yeah, Moldraith suffer quite a lot. But he ended up as a good person. Thats my favorite type of trope: The character who born a monster, but decided to surpass it's monstrous nature though their own merit. And the Kind heart monster is another trope I simply love. Even a being with monstrous appearance can have a good heart. I am curious with that statement you made however about Bernard and make me even more curious to interact more with him to learn more! In a natural and organic way of course.
Well, Tormenta 20 is a little like more DND or Pathfinder 2e. Since you, most of the time, can fight against the challenges who is present in front of you (with the right level, the help of your friends and equipment) but it does have some sure of, well, horror. The Tormenta is eldritch horror in its finest form. To give you a idea, the Lefeu have a Hive Mind, but the most powerfull Lefeu becomes Lords of the Tormenta, Demi-Gods beings capable of rule and command Legions and Legions of Lefeu. Any area who had become a Tormenta Zone, you can bet there a Lord there. Of maybe the area ITSELF is the Lord.
To give you a idea how dangerous these Lords is: One of those Lords, Aharadak, challenge Tauron, god of Mighty, God of Minotaurs, and the Deity who was at the time, Leader of the Pantheon of Gods. Think Tauron as Zeus. And Aharadak with a scheme well planned, and some help inside the gods, he killed Tauron, and then ascendend as a new god: Aharadak, god of the Tormenta. And the corpse of Tauron still is in the kingdom of the Minotaurs, as a reminder that even the gods themselfs is not safe from the Tormenta and their Aberranthic Demons.
Pretty much a terrifying thinking if you stop for a second: If your god is not safe from such alien invaders, what hope do you have? This is a pretty much fucked up existential horror if you asked me.
And no problem. It is understanble. We currently have busy lifes because of things are now chaotic.

(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ thank you for all the further info about Moldraith and Tormenta 20, Spirit! I soaked up every word of yours like a sponge.
Hmm, having looked into the system and its rulebook a bit (with what bits of Portugese I understood from knowing basic Spanish), it's indeed way more akin to DnD than it is to Cthulhu - I lowkex prefdr systems zhat focus on investigation and roleplsxing than direct fighting. What's in common is the looming horror of the tormenta and the eldritch gods though. But man, exploring and fighting against something not even your god is safe from, as you"re putting it? Do count me in.
There doesn't seem to be an English version of Tormenta 20's rulebook though or not yet, bit of sadge.

Thank you! I happy to provide more information about it!
I do like very much systems with very good combat (I a little fighting gremlin after all heh) but I do like to extend my scope of my options. Been playing Vampire Dark ages where social is the focus, and I excited to have the opportunity to play a Call of Cthulu with focus in investigation. And the world of Tormenta 20 is amazing. I still consuming the lore slowy to be able to digest, but I could tell stories such as the Revolt of the Three. Or the Ascencion to Godhood from Master Arsenal. The Imprisioment of the Goddess of Ambition Valkaria. Or the inhumane actions of the Purists, with their goal in make a world only for human, and consider all other races inferior, and their superhuman creations. Or even the Infinity War between Elfs and Goblinoids and how one Goblinoid killed the God of Death and became a god. Or even the story about the Paladin, the greatest hero of Arthon, and the rubies of virtue! Literally, there a lot! The Tormenta is the greatest danger of all, but not the only one. It is just the tip of the iceberg. Whatever direction you go, there looming danger waiting for you...but also a world full of adventures to explore, and stories to uncover.
Well, there a project to translate Tormenta 20 in english that I heard. But there also a Tormenta20 - Introductory Kit in Roll 20 last time I checked who is in english. With rules translate to english. It might be something interesting to pick up as a starting set to introduce people into the world of tormenta 20. And the best part it is free to dowload and use it.

Yeah, I found that one too when I was looking into the system. It doesn't appear to be the full ruleset/rulebook though... Still it should be enough to play a campaign, so I'd be happy to play that with you at some point if we can find a GM or a session (either at discord or indeed at Roll20, or even here on the forum)!
EDIT: Oh, and if you don't mind/it's okay to share here, do tell from time to time how the campaign goes, I'm curious!

Well, we can see if I can DM Tormenta 20. Since Brazilian portuguese is my native language, I could help translate the rules and and guide though it. Need to play a bit more to learn more of its rules though. And of course learn more about english language, since write english is one thing, and speak is another one.
And sure! I can share my experience how the campaigh goes. Maybe on Discord or a PM here in the forums to not spam here in Windos campaigh thread.

Wakey wakey, meta thread!~ It's October, which means 1. it's fall, which means pumpkin spice and crunchy leaves and 2. various monthly art challenges ala inktober. Creator's Collective, Bailey'a PU-themed art server, has it's own challenge and prompt list called 'Nuketober', which I helped set up with other mods. Linked here just because. Prompt of Day 1 is 'sleep', causing me to scribble a drowsly sleepy Zephy because I thought it'd be cute and to practice her weird anatomy.
Isn't she adorable, no wonder it brought Bern's highly-mindfully concealed affectionate side to the surface ahahaha
