[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Wakey wakey, meta thread!~ It's October, which means 1. it's fall, which means pumpkin spice and crunchy leaves and 2. various monthly art challenges ala inktober. Creator's Collective, Bailey'a PU-themed art server, has it's own challenge and prompt list called 'Nuketober', which I helped set up with other mods. Linked here just because. Prompt of Day 1 is 'sleep', causing me to scribble a drowsly sleepy Zephy because I thought it'd be cute and to practice her weird anatomy.

Heyo! These art challenges is pretty cool indeed. Wish I could drawn something decent to do something. Right unfortanely it do require time and dedication (which unfortanely I have neither at the moment). And Zephy sleeping is ADORABLE! I love it!

Right now I need to deal with some monetary problems in the bank my grandma requested, and then I need to organize a few things in my campaigh of my Pathfinder 2e campaigh (Abomination Vaults). Few monsters to prepare and some horrific creatures to put there.

Heyo! Well, you got time to see this post Windos I want you understand one thing mate: I will not give up on your campaigh. Whatever is going in your life, I know you are a strong person. Life might be difficult now, but I know eventually there gonna be a time where we might be free again.

Same for you @Dragonstrike. I not gonna giving up in your campaigh too. You two take your time. And if I can do something to help just ask.

*wipes off dust from this place* I've lately re-read the respective gamethread and important meta-knowledge from this thread, it was fun! The desire to do so was triggered by me being stuck in a 2h-trainride and having missed to download a gaming-stream or anime episodes onto my phone to watch (didn't want to mildy-waste a whole bunch of my mobile data on youtube) So many hints and allusions that I initially missed.

I tweaked things here and there in my posts (very minor things like spelling errors or formatting issues), but made a relatively big change in my lastest post (that one, link here) because my plans for Encounters of the day changed due to an idea I had (not sharing it due to spoilers). I take that things will be re-read anyway once game-hiatus is over, so I hope that's okay.

Appreciate the reminder about that loose end.  It's been on my mind since it was posted actually, but then the impromptu hiatus happened, so I've not been in a rush to respond either.  When we finally hear back from Windos on the state of the games here, I'll be much more likely to finally respond.

Been fine for the most part, though the end of this year has been rather blegh between one of my siblings being involved in a car accident (she was the one who was hit, but now she's the one being sued for it), the recent US elections being their own brand of stress, finding out the pets have been exposed to fleas at some recent point, and work being *crazy* busy this holiday season.  First holiday season since one of my most consistent coworkers from the last few years left the job for greener pastures, and it's showing already.  Having a hard time keeping up with the workload.  Surviving it, but it's probably only going to get busier the closer we get to the 25th, and trying to avoid a mental breakdown with everything going on besides that is an exercise in and of itself.

Have been playing a lot of new games recently though, and found some used physical copies of Mario Party DS, New Super Mario Bros (DS), and Mario Kart Wii at my local game store yesterday, so woohoo!  Also been getting back into playing pokemon romhacks since I discovered Pokemon TCG on GBC has a few now.

I also has been busy. Crazy things happening in life and finishing doing some chores for my family. Playing some ttrpgs (might share some stories in the tabletop thread soon since I have lots of stories to share!). I have also have been playing with Dragonstrike some Wildermyth. And buy a few games! Palworld included. I don't care what people says about the game, I gonna have lots of fun.

It's been great for destressing, yeah.  And as Spirit mentioned, been playing a lot of Wildermyth with him too.  One of my favorite indies from the last few years, and I've been looking forward to every session of it

You ever pick up Wildermyth on PC, do let me and Spirit know!  We'd be happy to join ya!

Now if only my physical copy of the console version of Wildermyth would finally arrive... (Not that there's any rush when I've heard it still has a lot of bugs, and it doesn't even have the online multiplayer nor all the DLC yet)

Not as a definitely-want-to-get-soon since the simple-esque artstyle's not really up my alley and I've got enough games to play for now (already snatched Persona 5 Royal, Baldur's Gate 3 and Spirit Hunter: Death Mark 2 from the autumn sale), but it's still noted. I'd likewise be happy to play with you, yay, will let you know!!1

Ohh, Wildermyth's actually on my steam wishlist already! The art style might be simple, but I think it adds to the charm of the storytelling they do   It's like playing a tabletop game with miniatures.  No fancy animations on anything except attacks and effects, but tons of cool models and variations of them.

The game's heart and soul is in the journey more than the destination, and I love it for how effective it is at making characters seem like individuals in the comics.  The worldbuilding lore is also surprisingly consistent, which makes small events even cooler after you've seen other events that paint them in a new light!

The modding scene is also fantastic.  Lots of additional toys you can add in because of how simple everything is.  There's even some custom campaigns out there!

I could gush about Wildermyth for awhile if you couldn't tell, lmao.

Good game choices from the sales though! I need to get back to playing BG3 so I can actually play it with other people without spoiling the story for myself...
