[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Your campaign is wildly ambitious and it's not just because of the level of detail. You've got a lot of extra effort coming in from the hybrid rules system you're using, for example, that requires a fiat ruling on almost every action. The scale of the campaign is huge and you've started worldbuilding even for areas we will probably never reach. If you take a step back to look at the big picture, I'm sure you could find areas to scale back on that weren't rewarding for the player or the GM, while keeping the parts that are fulfilling for you.

You are correct - though it the world building stuff comes rather easily for me. The parts most fulfilling is how you guys navigate the complexities of my system, though, and I rather enjoy out of the book thinking and coming up with stuff on the spot when I had the time and mental energy for it. Still, I do need to scale back some things to make it more manageable for me and perhaps you mates; what are you suggestions, if you have any?

Okay, so, for context, I have some many various full packages and singular bags of tea currently - some I bought myself because I looove a good tea and am used to brew myself a cup whenever I sit down for some drawing, gaming or similar calm activity; some are from open kitchen at work; and on top of that I received a big assortment of packed tea from my mum as a christmas gift - that I vaguely remembered this shitpost-y scribble I made in my scrapbook at the beginning of December, likely because tea appears a play a big role in Scimitar society (or at least it's been stated that Bern's mentor Acrowls was big when it comes to drinking tea, so I imagine this tea-loving trait rubbed off on his apprentice [double so whenever Bernhard's stressed out from work and everything])


Current favorite flavour of mine is a rooibos tea flavoured with cinnamon and orange, very wintery and warming.

Ooh, yommy. I have a chai Rooibos that I got in South Africa a couple years ago.

Spent almost all day yesterday breaking in my new gamebit set, went through almost all my SNES games, still have to double check some that were glitching/not working right last time I tested them.

It is a nice gift! And awesome drawing too!

To be honest I more of a coffee guy than tea guy, but I do sometimes drink tea. Currently I don't have a favorite tea, but the one I like the most is Capim Santo, or lemongrass as it is known outside of Brazil. I like sweet tea ones.

It is something interesting and could make sense. Since Scimitars are pretty mystic by be mages, and tea have been known to have healing properties, makes sense.

But if we speak about our chars favorite tea...hmm Oz is not that picky about tea, but she loved spicy and sweet ones. Even more if is a mix of both. It's because it helps her a lot in her medicine studies by keeping her awake for a good while.

As for me, been playing some Nine Sols. I really LOVE metroidvanias.

I've had family visiting myself, so still been pretty busy due to that requiring my attention.  It's been fun though!  Been watching all kinds of movies and playing various board/card games.  My brother-in-law and I broke out the Lorcana starter set I was gifted and learned how to play that last night (and so begins the trip down the rabbit hole of yet another TCG...)

Back to business as usual tomorrow after they leave!  Need to find some time to watch Sonic the Hedgehog 3 as well though...

Ohhh, Lorcana! Have fun with it and enjoy yet another TCG, hehe! I'm not playing or collecting these cards myself (not a big fan of disney), but I got to admit the artworks of the cards and the system itself is pretty cool from what I've seen and looked into during a convention early december.

The inkwell system definitely reminds me a bit of Duel Masters using every card as a possible energy source to play more cards!

Song cards being able to be played for 'free' by tapping a character of equal or greater cost is also just clever, lol. Game feels very Disney in style.
