A new day dawns. From the sun shining through the blinds of whatever window you were near and the sound of bird song in the air, the foul weather that has been plaguing the city was finally over. Not a moment too soon for the city organizers and businesses, as they rushed at Quick Attack speeds to get everything done for the Festival happening Tomorrow! Clear Weather is now in effect, but most of Bayhama is now getting ready for what's to come: Encounters will be reduced but modified to reflect this.

@Dragonstrike and @PhantomUnderYourDesk  : Both of your Mythical Partners are no long Unconscious, though they don't seem 100% there . Zephy seemed almost most drunk as you roused her from her overly long nap, while Iron Leave ended up waking Her Master by rubbing her head repeatidly into his chest, trying to use their Bond and Physical contact to dispel the nasty headache She was experiencing. For the rest of the Day Zephy will be Mildly Intoxicated/Dazed (- 1 INS, - 1 Dice on ALL Rolls) and Iron Leaves has a Bad Headache (Communications Limited, take 1D6 Damage every time she attempts to talk with anything but Speech, 3D6 Damage Dice at the End of every Encounter, more irritable).

For Bernard specifically, you discover that your Gauntlet is not in the greatest Condition: it has taken 25 Stress from yesterday's 'events' (subject to end of Day tinkering to reduce that down to 12). You also feel off, for lack of a better term - if you had to put a name to it, you feel similar to how Saph felt when Cursed....but more playful? As a result of accidentally channeling A l i c e  , Bernard is now Joyfully Cursed for this In Game Day - any Encounters you do WILL be Miss Fortune prone yet of the most fun kind imaginable.

Seddi, on the other hand, receives his morning update from Sada - International Comms are still down, but she can send at least one message out if she brute forces things (however much that set backs things too). You also get an update from Ianai the Ashmuut - for the unforeseeable future she is going to be working with Morgana on dealing with the God Wandering Hurricane. 'I gave my word,' is what can be summed up from 'why' she's still doing such an insane thing. No word from Dodger yet, sadly - must be turbo busy with all that's happening....or he's trying to wrangle having to work with The Fairy Queen, since he had slated to Tackle the GWH with you but now.....

@Spiritmon : You receive a report/MEMO from the local Police - ' John and the Breakneck Boys have been spotted throughout the city , seemingly on the warpath. Not only against you, but what seems to be a group called the Blade Lineage and The Grip Mafia? . Point is, if you're going to be exploring the City you best take care not to get caught up in THAT gang violence...

@Mikaruge108  Aaron has seemingly let up on his overprotectiveness - you're now free to explore the city without risking him cracking down on ya.

@Iron : Aside from whatever you Learn from yesterday's Topic, nothing of note happens to greet you this new day. Since you got a new Native Pseudo to learn how to wrangle, though, maybe it'd be prudent to head over to the Survival Center for tips? Or maybe even the Military or a Boat Shop, considering what you're dealing with here...

@Redstone : Remember you have a Minor Encounter with Dr. Sada - when/if you meet up with her at the Embassy she gives you the following Choice for what you want in Exchange for the Bio Fang:
- 2 Ritsuko and 1 Ranc Berry : Should help a bit with getting Gloomtail not to Fight or Flight on sight!
- Special Training for Lani/Nalu : This will accelerate their Evolution process and give them a variable amount of XP and a random Surprise! , but you lose access to them for the rest of the Day.
- A Flat $10000 Poke and 5 Ultra Balls
- Arranging for you to get a Z-Crystal: this will take roughly 2-3 in game days, and the selection will be Random (though at least one Mon will be able to use it)
- Information Trade: Choose 2 Pokemon (Including Ultra Beasts, but not Paradoxes) - you'll learn a LOT about them, and the Knowledge you have gained will not only increase the Odds of Finding these Mons, but also in Interacting , Fighting, and Catching them!
*Rolls* You also get 3 Fairy Type Berries from your Planters!

@Pokekitty2 :  You have gained 10 XP from various Insights you had/assisted in from yesterday, and are now back to Normal Size. The potential to GET BIG is still there, though, lurking deep within - will you Pursue the secret? You still retain your Ability to use Human Speech - looks like this is a permeant thing. Your friends don't seem too worried about you having gone missing - turns out they were Sleeping most of the Day, VERY tired for some Strange reason...

* Due to Oz's earlier info gathering and Seddi keeping a eye on things, you're more aware now than ever something is wrong with all these disappearances - perhaps you could find a new lead that could crack these cases wide open...
* A Citywide Warning has been issued: A Strange and Dangerous Entity has appeared in the City and taken to wandering around the Docks, Commercial, and Business Sector. Sightings are scarce, and what its done even more Sketchy, but it seemed to be a creature of sorts wearing a ratty yet somehow elegant purple dress...

Collecting the Berries he'd plant a Ritsuko Berry in its place. If he wanted to ever let Gloomtail out he'd better get a few ready.

He'd also check in on *her* using the mirror, worried that last days condition might have persisted. Should she be open for communication he'd quickly explain yesterday's events and show Gloomtail's Ball.

After that it was time to make his way to the Paldean Embassy, riding on Kayla should the way be too long.

Ritsuko Berries take an especially long time to grow, and yields tend to be poor - most of the time you only get a couple more for your troubles. Still, if you can spare a few days for it to grow....

Your Patron gives you the equivalent of a grumpy *Slap* as water from the Mirror surges upward into your face.

Firstly, Darren uses 16/20 exp to increase his Knowledge from 2 to 3, what he learned from extracting venom and the training session sunk in.
28/29 of Whirlpede's exp is used to learn Venoshock.
9/12 of Scizor's exp is used to learn Pursuit.

Darren will take the loosened opportunity to check some of the side alleys off of the Main Street, might find something interesting, who knows?

.......Oh the irony. Little did Bern know that when he said "You shall r e c e i v e ", he REALLY meant it. Like, REALLY REALLY. You overdid it, dear Bern. you overdid it BY FAR, you got yourself carried away. ...By your emotions out of all things, those very emotions you usually keep at bay and overly careful hidden from outer view. Though just because you mask and surpress them, like you have done for years, doesn't meant they are dealt with. Ohh, by far not.

Perhaps today was just the tipping point, the figurative last straw that broke the Camerupt's back.

Whatever has happened, whatever ominous  s p e l l  he cast there against the hoarde of rats, it will haunt the oh-so-stoic Magus for a while. Perhaps, maybe, will it also make him rethink and reconsider. Maybe, perhaps. Time will tell. Today's events will change him though, in what direction that change will go though... We'll see, for the better OR for the worse.

Moderate Encounter Abruptly ended due to Super Rare Chance Effect of Spellbind:

- 1 XP each from the Dead Rattata (Flat, no Mods) and 5 XP from the Rattacate (Flat, no Mods)
- 3 XP per Will of the Rattata + 5 XP per Will of the Rattacates ([3X3]X12 + ([5X7]X2) , subjected to your 0.5 XP Mod
- 10 XP for 'dealing' with Rattarule, no Mods
Total XP Earned: 12 + 10 + ([108 + 70]X0.5=89) + 10 = 121, or the angel's number. Oh the irony....

100 XP go to Bernhard himself, while 21 XP go to Spritzee. That smol dear pink fluffball, a treasure most dear... Little did he know that there lingered a power that divine, that cursed within them. He'll have to look into this further... He'll need to learn more, find out more... To, mayhaps and perhaps, master whatever spell that was. To make those that dare make enemies of HIM, fully and utterly regret having crossed paths with him... Hehe, yes indeed...

It almost felt like that the power that he inadvertidly called forth was calling for him from deep, deep within... From  d e e p  within himself, it appears. Right before it dispelled and Bernhard's good sense returned, he found himself returning that  f o n d  farewell.

Bernard's Fate has Changed due to a BAD FORTUNE EVENT - Cancel all planned Minor and Bonus Encounters following this Moderate Encounter, no Refunds. Bernard also has a choice to make - Lose 1 Moderate Encounter the next day or All his Minor and Bonus Encounters for him and his Team to Fully Recover from WHAT just happened.

No shopping trip then as a Minor Encounter, no rest and relax as a Bonus Encounter, no learning Sketch on Nirix as a second Bonus Encounter. No reassuring Myra. No magical crafting ingredients obtained. And most definitely no meeting up with his angel.

Suddenly you bolt up, awareness jumping at you like Zephy does to a sweets platter, panting hard and fast as you clutched your heart.

A Nurse pops into your view, and you almost Cast a Spell on her, only for you to hiss as you felt your Gauntlet let out a ominous whine and the abuse it endure sting. It was then, as you become fully aware of your surroundings, of the hospital bed and the Pokemon Center emergency room you were in, that all was not well for you....and who how many else.
You are currently in one of Bayhama's Pokemon Centers resting, and have just gotten your stuff back after giving a report of things (however much you're willing to divulge).

How....how are you taking this?

He'll take this by immediately falling back backwards into the hospital bed, covering his eyes with his arm, having to process things and happenings at first.

His gaze lands on our gauntlet, and immediately we're sitting back up in shock and a surge of panic - it was THEN that Bernhard realized that he messed up. He messed up BADLY. How the heck is he going to explain THAT to Acrowls... How the heck is he going to explain to him that he messed up, that he messed up severly and utterly and completely... Worst case, he'll be kicked out of the Scimitar society. ...Hehehe...  Back to the life of wanderlust for him and Zephy... Fun.

Furthermore, that a Curse Daemon creature... It escaped... Whatever he created thre and let loose, it's utterly and completely HIS fault.

...Let's not think about that now, for now it's ONLY REST AND RELAXATION PLEASE.

We'll request to remain at hospital for the night, have all of our lethal damage treated, and receive a sedative alongside tea. "I'm so sorry for the trouble... So, so SORRY...", we'll almost cry and whisper to the nurse. For all of our Pokemon (except Zephy), we'll likewise ask to be treated for all lethal damage. "Treasured companions they are to me... Treasured indeed. Even if they may not know or be aware of that... Please, they are... all that's left for me..."

As tired and exhausted as he was, Bernhard did not find any rest. The sedative kicked in, yet sleep did not.

He just laid there within the hospital bed, unconscious Zephy in his arms held close...

.........

.............

...................and cried.


Completely and utterly silent he cried, like he hasn't done in...well, years, probably. The events of the past few days were simply too much for him to handle, he could not stop the tears as much as he tried to fight them. He lost fighting them from the start.

He felt lonely. He, the textbook-example of a lone wolf.  In this moment, he more than ever wished for a pack.

For how long he cried, he didn't know. Whether Zephy would notice or feel it, he didn't know either.

All he did know was that he felt better, giving in to his utterly surpressed emotions alongside his trusted and destinied Mythic just this time. It was almost invigorating. Liberating. Redemptive. There was something beyondly beautiful about these tears.

.....79 XP of Bernhard and 21 XP of Zephy, a total of 100 XP, are spent to remove the 0.25 XP mod of Zephy that comes from to Pseudo-Status and being a Tier 1 character.

The very first thing Bernhard will do upon waking up - still in hospital though - is hugging Zephy. Hug her fondly like he hasn't done in....well, years, probably. "Zephy, my dear... Do tell me this: How. Are. You. Doing?" In a much more quiet voice: "Oh, how I missed you and your antics..." He almost lets out a sob. "We've got a lot to talk over. Like, a LOT. ...Later though, please."

Furthermore, once we got the attention of a Nurse we'll request to see Myra, Nirix and Spritzee. "....Please do tell me they'll be alright."

Oz was startled in see such rough Day. She get the memo from the police and is still very on edge after the last meeting with John. She decided to send a message to Seddi/@Dragonstrike, Bernard/@PhantomUnderYourDesk, Vernon/@Iron and Akumu/@Redstone about her location in going to to Tiffany Caffee. Wake up, brush her pokemon feathers and furrs, and after a little while, she goes to Tifanny caffee, while all the time looking around to see if she can see that damn John, and making sure she get ready either to run or fight (dont forget Fortuna bonus in her cheat just in case shit happen). And she alert everyone John and his gang war in the streets, so she alert them to be careful in case they decide to walk today. And the caffee its a safe spot since its been heavely armed with cops.

She found Tiffany problably doing a few things. Oz release Bethy and while her sister was in human form, she reach Tifanny. "Good day ma'am! How you doing! Got some time to talk? We have lots of things to tell ya." Oz also decided to help Tifanny in her work, while recounting the events of yesterday battle, and how difficult it was and amazing her daughter Bethy was. "Bethy was cool as hell there. She send some Life Dew, trick the Old Lady partneers, and was able to keep in the field despite the type disavantage! My sister was also amazing, but thanks to her trickery and amazing use of moves, she was also capable in stall the enemies, tank even some strong Dark-types moves from a Sheer Force Daikatuna, and even help Persephone set some nast moves with a amazing combo of Confuse Ray and Curse! And Daikatuna ended up hurting himself and get out of the battle. And after summon Hecate and Bethy was a badly state, I was about to return her to the Pokeball! But then she looks at me like: 'No, I not gonna return to the Pokeball, I gonna fight tooth and paw and kick that Old arse!' At least that was the kind of vibe she gave, she doesn't say anything, but her look said more than words. She was cool!"  Oz from time to time look at Bethy, with how excited Oz feels in winning her first battle in a long time. Despite the heavy atmosphere of the battle, she feel great in win! It was not only her victory, but her sisters as well. "Also...I had amazing news. I get enough money to finally adopt Meza. I...I must be honest that I had to sell the Fossil I won to the Fossil Institute...I very grateful for the won I get, but I still feel a little bad in had to sell such amazing prize gift. But...I can now adopt Meza! And also, I ready in meet the lady you mentioned yesterday. Yesterday was rough, but I think we can arrange the meeting either now or later when you got time Tiffany!"

A new day dawns. From the sun shining through the blinds of whatever window you were near and the sound of bird song in the air, the foul weather that has been plaguing the city was finally over. Not a moment too soon for the city organizers and businesses, as they rushed at Quick Attack speeds to get everything done for the Festival happening Tomorrow! Clear Weather is now in effect, but most of Bayhama is now getting ready for what's to come: Encounters will be reduced but modified to reflect this.

Dragonstrike and PhantomUnderYourDesk  : Both of your Mythical Partners are no long Unconscious, though they don't seem 100% there . Zephy seemed almost most drunk as you roused her from her overly long nap, while Iron Leave ended up waking Her Master by rubbing her head repeatidly into his chest, trying to use their Bond and Physical contact to dispel the nasty headache She was experiencing. For the rest of the Day Zephy will be Mildly Intoxicated/Dazed (- 1 INS, - 1 Dice on ALL Rolls) and Iron Leaves has a Bad Headache (Communications Limited, take 1D6 Damage every time she attempts to talk with anything but Speech, 3D6 Damage Dice at the End of every Encounter, more irritable).

For Bernard specifically, you discover that your Gauntlet is not in the greatest Condition: it has taken 25 Stress from yesterday's 'events' (subject to end of Day tinkering to reduce that down to 12). You also feel off, for lack of a better term - if you had to put a name to it, you feel similar to how Saph felt when Cursed....but more playful? As a result of accidentally channeling A l i c e  , Bernard is now Joyfully Cursed for this In Game Day - any Encounters you do WILL be Miss Fortune prone yet of the most fun kind imaginable.

Seddi, on the other hand, receives his morning update from Sada - International Comms are still down, but she can send at least one message out if she brute forces things (however much that set backs things too). You also get an update from Ianai the Ashmuut - for the unforeseeable future she is going to be working with Morgana on dealing with the God Wandering Hurricane. 'I gave my word,' is what can be summed up from 'why' she's still doing such an insane thing. No word from Dodger yet, sadly - must be turbo busy with all that's happening....or he's trying to wrangle having to work with The Fairy Queen, since he had slated to Tackle the GWH with you but now.....

Seddi sighs seeing Ianai's message and reasoning, and the lack of a response from Dodger.  They must be having a rough time with the preparations.  He signed that contract, so he was tempted to still fulfill that obligation and join them as well regardless of Morgana electing to insert herself into the equation...but with Leaves still out of sorts, he's doesn't think that's a great idea.  He'll communicate as much to Ianai in his response.

I understand.  Ya do what ya need to do, Ianai.  Ya better come back alive, though, ya hear?  I coulda joined ya to help ensure that, but my team's still not in top condition due to the recent anomaly.

Comms are still down due to sabotage.  The city's recovering and busy, but still full of danger.  And people are still disappearing, but in less spectacular fashion now...yeah, something's off.  And now there's another mysterious entity prowling the streets, likely looking for trouble?  Things just don't stop being interesting around here, do they?  And yet everyone's still preparing for a festival regardless!  Humans really are amazing creatures when it comes to not just surviving in adverse conditions, but thriving despite them.

Main Street isn't a bad choice; might've voted Docks if I'd been online yesterday. And that's where Vernon is heading, but only after the Survival Center. He wants to ask for advice, then maybe let Cruz take a look at some other military hardware and get a feel for how to behave outside of a boat situation. Vernon will tour all the places that might know something about training a pseudo or about boats.
