[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Oz was startled in see such rough Day. She get the memo from the police and is still very on edge after the last meeting with John. She decided to send a message to Seddi/@Dragonstrike, Bernard/@PhantomUnderYourDesk, Vernon/@Iron and Akumu/@Redstone about her location in going to to Tiffany Caffee. Wake up, brush her pokemon feathers and furrs, and after a little while, she goes to Tifanny caffee, while all the time looking around to see if she can see that damn John, and making sure she get ready either to run or fight (dont forget Fortuna bonus in her cheat just in case shit happen). And she alert everyone John and his gang war in the streets, so she alert them to be careful in case they decide to walk today. And the caffee its a safe spot since its been heavely armed with cops.


She found Tiffany problably doing a few things. Oz release Bethy and while her sister was in human form, she reach Tifanny. "Good day ma'am! How you doing! Got some time to talk? We have lots of things to tell ya." Oz also decided to help Tifanny in her work, while recounting the events of yesterday battle, and how difficult it was and amazing her daughter Bethy was. "Bethy was cool as hell there. She send some Life Dew, trick the Old Lady partneers, and was able to keep in the field despite the type disavantage! My sister was also amazing, but thanks to her trickery and amazing use of moves, she was also capable in stall the enemies, tank even some strong Dark-types moves from a Sheer Force Daikatuna, and even help Persephone set some nast moves with a amazing combo of Confuse Ray and Curse! And Daikatuna ended up hurting himself and get out of the battle. And after summon Hecate and Bethy was a badly state, I was about to return her to the Pokeball! But then she looks at me like: 'No, I not gonna return to the Pokeball, I gonna fight tooth and paw and kick that Old arse!' At least that was the kind of vibe she gave, she doesn't say anything, but her look said more than words. She was cool!"  Oz from time to time look at Bethy, with how excited Oz feels in winning her first battle in a long time. Despite the heavy atmosphere of the battle, she feel great in win! It was not only her victory, but her sisters as well. "Also...I had amazing news. I get enough money to finally adopt Meza. I...I must be honest that I had to sell the Fossil I won to the Fossil Institute...I very grateful for the won I get, but I still feel a little bad in had to sell such amazing prize gift. But...I can now adopt Meza! And also, I ready in meet the lady you mentioned yesterday. Yesterday was rough, but I think we can arrange the meeting either now or later when you got time Tiffany!"

I'll count basic grooming and care of your Mons as a Bonus Encounter - they seem to appreciate it after all the Rain they had to endure yesterday! (Bonus has NOT been forgotten too)

The foxy waitress indeed was busy cleaning the tables and sprucing up the store before they opened it back up for the day, though they're more than willing to take a break to chat over breakfast with you. Bethy gave her mother a quick hug, who looked down on her fondly and rubbed her head before motioning for them to take a seat beside you. That gets a eye roll from the girl, but never the less she pairs back up with you, electing to remain silent for the time being.

"And a good morning to you, dear! I certainly do -though how about I get you some breakfast first if you got a long and tall tale to tell~"

Tiffany remained silent as you launched into the retelling of events, bemusement and pride flickering across her face as she watched both you and her daughter. Bethy seemed both bashful and proud of the attention she's getting , preening at several points and cringing at others - she looked about ready to smack you when you got to the 'her weakest moment' until her mom sent a warning look that got her to stop with a huff.

"Well well well....you had a rather exciting day. I admit I was worried you'd baby my little girl and not give her the good Fights she needs - "MOM!" - but I'm delighted to be proven wrong! Just be careful not to be too over eager, hmm? The hunt can be thrilling and fun, but sometimes you can end up with prey too orney to handle - or tussling with a predator ready to rip ya up."

Your news gets a happy smile and *Clap!* from the woman, not at all disappointed in your choices with selling the prize : they were yours to do with as you please, after all. Once you tell her you're ready to meet with your mysterious benefactor, however, she went all business and nodded, heading to the back of the shop to call them in...

...only to swiftly Return with a frown, sorry and a bit confused.

"Apologies dear, but apparently your patron is too busy to meet with you today - something about sudden preparations for a big event and needing to get their own stuff in order? For now, they said you'll just own them a little later and they'll be in touch. Rather odd of them to cancel like that, considering they seemed eager to meet ya, *Shrugs* but I guess bigger business can Ambush a big wig like them too."

So far, the time you've spent in the Koffee Shop qualifies as a Minor Encounter, with the aim being Adopting Meza and Bonding with Bethy/furthering your relationship with Tiffany. If you want to turn it into a Moderate Encounter do let me know mate!

(For now, I think I will keep as minor encounter. Need to save some Moderate encounters slots to go to some Moderate encounter choices later, and save one to go to the Pokemon Center in case things get nasty, aka meeting with John and his gang. I keep this encounter as Minor to adopt Meza (and maybe have a conversation with her) bond with Bethy and further relantioship with Tiffany.)


Oz nod her head and then act swift to inform Tiffany. "Understood! I usually respect and let my family have their own final word in their decisions to either continue to fight or return to safety. And I see Bethy take her individuality in hight regard. Although I also agree with your point of view. I promise to be more careful next time, although the fight doesn't looked a deadly one. Speaking of the Old Lady, she was...very fierce and strong. She was able to face Bethy and Persephone toe to toe with the help of Daikatuna. And somehow she was able to turn her body into some kind of metallic sheen. Don't know if she was a Magi or a Scimitar. I did not see the usual metalic glove some Scimitars use to access their powers, so maybe she is a Human with connection to Earthpower? Hmm. I was about to ask her, but she said something to not bother her, and some cript words like: 'Look up and find her if I dare.' I did also notice she has a disdain to Witch like Pokemon. I might need to investigate that later in the future."

The news about the refusal of the encounter with the Lady get a little disapointed face of Oz, but she nods her head in understanding. "I see. Well, if possible we can might meet tomorrow morning if possible? I the more curious about the appearance of that lady."

With conversation done, Oz approach the place where Meza is. She still respect Meza space in case she still don't like to be close to Oz. She start with the conversation. "Hey Meza. Its me, Oz. Are you okay today?"

1. Frugon's Fruit 'n Fauna Barrama!
Slots: Minor or Moderate
A Place where you can get all SORTS of Rare Berries and other delicacies sourced straight from the Wilds of Sutalor for cheap! They even have a sale going on Ritsuko Berries and some specific species of  Rare Grass Pokemon that produce food stuffs of some kind; for more details take this Encounter!

Rare Berries? Cheap? Ritsiko? A place seemingly engineered to catch Akamu's attention was quickly found, intending to spend a Minor encounter.

Vernon is also heading to the berries. He doesn't care about their battle properties, he just wants to bribe Dodrio, who has an especial love for berries. But Dodrio won't be released among all those tempting fruits. Nor Munchlax. Turtwig is out - Vernon holds him at arm's length to sniff at each berry, and Turtwig is too well trained to eat what isn't his.

I'll have this be a Minor Encounter for the both of you, then! 

You're greeted by not your typical shopkeep or stall owner upon entering the 'Barrama, but a colorful and fragrant dragon manning it all!



They're wearing what appears to be some sort of coat-Inventory like apparel around them, humming happily as they arrange all the exotic looking fruits, seeds, and herbs around with Vine Whips. Once you catch their eye the give you a smile and gesture at what was to offer:

Berries:

Ritsuko - SALE for $2000 Poke; Buy Limit 2
Vive Berries - SALE for $1500; They act like the Barry version of a basic Revive! Buy Limit 2 per Customer
Sitrus and Lum Berries are 1/2 Off their usual price; Buy Limit 10 (each)

Enigma Berries - $500 Poke each, no Limit
- Enigma Berry Candy: $250 per unit. Roll a 1D6 (2D6 for Pseudos or Lucky Mons/People) . If you get a (6), you gain 10 XP,  2 - 5 you lose 10 XP, and 1 you Badly Poison (and anger your Mons) yourself on top of losing 10 XP. XP Gained not subjected to Mods. Feeling lucky, punks?

Micle Berries: $500 . Eat to gain + 1 Accuracy on attacks; the more Pain the user is in when they eat the Berry, the great the Accuracy Boost becomes. Must declare conditions at which the berry will be eaten (Since Berries eaten don't take an Action). No buy limit
Hopo Berries: $500. Boosts Will Gain, and lowers Pokemon Aggressivenes and Alertness of Mons towards user of the Berry for 1D4 Encounters. No Buy Limit

Silver Razz: $500. A Berry that makes it easier to catch Pokémon when given/throw to them.
Silver Nanab: $500 . A Berry that calms wild Pokémon you're trying to catch when given/thrown to them.
Silver Pinap: $500  . A Berry that makes you more likely to get an item when given/thrown to Pokémon you're trying to catch.
No buy limit for Silver Berries

Fruits:

__lovnom Fruits: Replace the ' ____ ' with the Lepian word for a Type, these are delicious and filling treats that make the right Types or Kinds of Pokemon go crazy for! If eaten, they fully sate a Mon for a day and make Disobedience less of an issue and generally easier to make them listen; if feed regularly enough of these you're almost guaranteed to have a Happy and Loyal Mon in no time! $1000 per Fruit, Buy Limit 10 (Total - if you get 3 Agr'lovnoms and 7 Adr'lovnoms you can't buy anymore of these

Pita Fruits: Big red apple-melon like fruits that  Restore 3 Will for a Mon but Fills them up for the day. Can be split into 3 to share with others, but it'll still be just as filling.  $500 Per Fruit, Buy Limit 3

Limit Fruit: Small orange pepper-kiwi that Grants High Crit and + 1 Damage to Moves, but MAXES out Disobedience while its effect is active (1D4 Encounters). Costs $1000, Buy Limit 3

Tumna Fruit: Long, slender bean-pear fruit that somehow Transforms whomever eats it into a random (and weakened) Frog Pokemon for 1D4 Encounters; if you feed a target 5 back to back they'll all but permanently be Transformed into whatever they become...  Cost $1000 , Buy Limit 3

***Roche Fruit: A perplexingly coloured fruit (Seems to change whenever you're not looking...) in the shape of a banana of all things. If thrown at a Mon, they must must a Will + Survival - 3 Save ; Fail, and they are Transformed into an Egg , lose all their memories, and have greater Loyalty/Happiness to whomever hatches them. Costs $20000 Poke, Only 1 Remains...

Herbs:

Sedate's Herb: Permanently Inflicts Sleep on user, but grants them the Regenerator Ability and enables the spamming of Sleep Talk and Snore. Costs $5000 Poke

Misate's Herb: Permanently Inflicts Bad Poison on user, but enhances Poison/Healing Moves and Abilities. Costs $5000

Pazete's Herb: Permanently Inflicts Paralysis on user, but makes them Immune to Electric, Bind, and Priority Moves. Costs $5000 Poke

No Mons on offer for Non Moderates, and no Haggling too - all sales prices and sales are Final!

Generated due to Darron's Persistent and Lucky Hunt for Rare and Powerful Bugs
A Native from Gomruve'Lepia  tribe, traveling all this way to take part in the Festival for his own inscrutable reasons. They are sitting on a mat in front of an allyway, shaded by a silk awning dye a vivid purple, earthy browns, and deep scarlet, smoking a long pipe as they watch the crowds go on with a Hunter's eye....

When Darren comes across the guru, he looks briefly in confusion at how the stall, for a lack of better words, is set up, but there is something about this stranger that makes him stop and check things out.
"What do we have here?"
Actions: See what the semi-shady guru has for sell (OOC note: for some reason, my mental image of this guru is somewhat similar to the Merchant from RE4)

As you approach the old Native, you quickly take his appearance in, as he no doubt does the same to you.

The man is small, dark skinned, but fairly robust looking. They're wearing what appears to be a dyed silk shawl/robe of sorts the color of brown and purple. Hair is long and vivid purple, and two long bangs curled up like a pair of horns on his head.  His eyes were shut as he was puffing on his pipe, but you had a feeling that didn't stop him from Understanding you completely as he swept his 'gaze' up and down.

"*Puffs* ....A proper Acolyte of Bugs find me here in this City. A foreigner too, at that. Odd...but not unwelcome."

Their voice was low and reverberating, almost like a human version of a Bug Buzz with the way it made you shiver and reminds you of chitinous din. 

"....Tell me, what is it you seek, young Acolyte? This old Orw'Xerti may be able to help....if you are Bold and can afford what I can offer."

A bafflingly fluorescent lupine of sorts is seen strutting down Main Street like it owned the place; judging by the wide berth the other Wild Mons were giving it and the worried looks some of the more veteran Trainers and Tourists this reaction was entirely warranted. Will disappear if not Taken within this First Offering of Encounters.

Alright, noted!

I won't start the Encounter properly yet, but I'll give you guys a description of the foxy critter in question, since it's really not trying to hide at all and you might as well know a bit before Tackling it:

It....appears to be some sort of.....big, long [u]creature of sorts, boldly and brazenly slinking through the Street without a care to anything or one around it. It mostly resembled an over long Umbreon, in fact, but was VERY distinct from it. It had long, Umbreon like ears, but the entire end tip was a pulsing, ever glowing cyan color. Their eyes were currently silted, but they pulsed with that same cyan blue, and they had a long, somewhat boxy, and almost reptilians yet still distinctly foxy muzzle. Little black 'feelers' lined the sides of their face, three on each side. 

Instead of having rings on its legs it had two glowing cyan ones on its barrel/body, two on each side, that dully flashed on and off. Their feet were like an Umbreon's, but far more distinctly reptilian, and their legs were much longer, stockier, and seemed to be double jointed. On its shoulders their appears to be two pairs of stubs, their tips having a soft faint glow. 

Last, but certainly not least, was their tail. Almost taking up 1/2 of it's entire length - if not more - it was a solid black at the base while gradually a diamond-like glowing pattern that flickered mesmerizingly even in the bright sunny day.

A cyan haze steamed from their closed maw as they abled about - catching a wiff almost made you feel nausea, but underneath its....foulness was a strangely energizing and minty aroma?  

Currently it was peering inquisitively at a random barbaque stand, with the owner of it appearing rather confused and a bit nervous at such a Strange...Fox-Lizard paying it a visit.

Your friend(?) - it was hard tell with this woman, for obvious reasons, but you knew they at least was Fond of you - simply gave you a satisfied nod at your promise, but you got a thoughtful frown as you described the salty sea dog as the waitress tapped her chin.

"Hmm...sounds like you tangled with a Native, and an adept one at that. They're a mystical bunch, as you know, and the various tribes and 'professions' have all sorts of Special nacks to them . Metallic arms, though....reminds me of something, but I need to do a bit more digging to job my memory. Got anything else about her that could help me find a lead? 'Gruff Old Sailor Native Sailor Lady that Hates Witches' , while specific enough, could apply to a lot of sea folk due to how supersticious that lot is and the general animosity they have to Magi, Native or Scimitar."

"I'll see if I can't get them to come, but they sound like they were going to be busy for awhile. They just looked like some rich business lady to me, complete with sharp glasses and hair done up in a bun. Striking woman, if a bit too predatory for my liking - guess such comes to those that swim in those murky waters of Big Business."

Meza lets out a grumble at your appearance, but doesn't retreat into her 'cave' , simply remaining slumped on the plush carpet. When you tell her that you're FINALLY going to Adopt her, though, she does seem to rouse a bit more to look you in the eye (you think). She simply held your gaze for a moment before slumping back onto the floor and let out a simple "MMmmmrrrrrrn...." . Accepting, but not thrilled. Which, considering her depression, is a glowing statement of endorsement.

Meza the Fafur Adopted! Look up its Stat Block in the Game Thread; if there is anything missing Alert me in the Meta Thread or by PM!

So ends your Minor Encounter; if you want to head over to Main Street to particpate in the Encounters there you can easily join Sylvia for added safety  before you two split off to do your own thing, since the Eeveelution has reason to stop by the Koffee Shop and confirm they have a day off before they get about their day. You have 1 Minor and 2 Moderate Encounters Remaining.

"....I can respect your Boldness, however, and I sense you have the potential to have a chance to handle the best and worst I can offer. Before that, though, tell me: how much Poke do you have? Anything you are willing to barter? Including your own Bugs, if you are willing to part with them. I do not want to waste time with someone that can not afford the Nature's bounty I tend, so I will be 'frank' : make it worth it."

Valuables you have: Feather Crown (Do you REALLY want to give up something this Unique, though?) , Pearl, Pure Seed (It might be of interest, and it FEELS valuable to you) , Key Stone (If you're Insane enough to Trade It away and risk your Mentor's Wrath), all your Poke (Broke, but it could be what tips you over into getting something REAL good...)

Oz though for a few seconds and then try to remember as many details she can. "As far I could notice, she also had a Toucannon and a Raffiti with a marine hat in his head. She probably also a strong martial artist. She used techniques strong enough to bypass Persephone Levitate ability. She also looks like a captain in how she able to deliver orders to her Pokemon, so she probably have years of experience. Not to mention she was not only strong, but also have a keen eye in the battlefield. When she noticed something was wrong with Bethy not be hurt by Toucannon powerful moves, she changed tactics, and remained calm during most of the fight. She only begun to loose patience when she see Persephone use a powerup Hex move on Daikatuna, and then she broke the no faint rule she mentioned. Daikatuna is probably her oldest partner and it's probably why she was the way she was. She's also have a tendency of smoke a lot. Her metallic sheen also had a blueish color...do you think she was copying Daikatuna be a Water/Steel type? So she became a Water/Steel too? How strong is a Native? When I brought Hecate to the battlefield and then Mega Evolve her, she looks like she felt...hunted. And really consider to make the battle become messy...but...she gave up. Don't know if she felt in big disadvantage or if she wasn't more in the fighting move, or even both! Though...with how powerful and strong she was, she could have a fighting chance with Hecate. Don't like to brag, but Hecate while in Mega Form can go toe to toe with most Pseudo legendaries, so the thought of a human, even a Native one be that strong sounds...terrifying."

Oz gave a though look and then talk again. "This only make the mystery be weirder and weirder. I don't think I never see such woman before. Nor do I meet any rich woman in my life. What did she looks like? Is she old lady or a young looking one? Did she also said some kind of name? And...why exactly she was that interested in meeting me? I could understand Dodger due to his skills, Seddi in he be some kind of national hero and Mr Samsara due to him be a important figure in Scimitar society, but me? I just a medic in training. A good one I admit, but not even THAT amazing in comparison to other medics who are more experienced and have more talent than me. Do you think that woman required some kind of medical help, or any kind of ulterior motives?"

Oz look at Meza and then smile a bit. "I know this is a different experience. I dare to say for both of us. But I promised you: I will help you in whatever way I can. If you are willing to give me a vote of confident, I promise I will not disappoint you."

And with that, I ready to follow to the next meeting with Sylvia! Let's go mate!
