[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Does not Replace, but Adds - you get Regenerator + Original Mon's Ability. You also effectively get Status Immunity too, given you can only inflict one 'Hard' Status to a Conscious Pokemon, bar some of the more, uh, extreme Statuses or attacks out there. If you give this to a Mon with Regenerator already they double the effectiveness of the Ability and the user practically becomes Immortal and immune to Lethal Damage - they're metaphorical cancer now!

Keep in mind that most Mons can't do ANYTHING while Sleeping, though, and that Sleep Talk RANDOMLY calls Moves, which can be a bit dicey. Also, RPwise you're effectively putting a Mon into a Comma and limiting how you can interact with them - which won't stop Disobedience Issues or them finding ways to make your life difficult - which isn't a bad thing in my books but could be limiting down the line.

On a simular note would a poison type holding the Misate Herb gain the benefits without the downsides?

1. You don't Hold the Herb. They're Consumables - their effects are permenant (mostly), and the downsides are obvious, but so are the upsides and potential synergies they could have with Mons. Pazete Herb, for instance, could be given to your Broozer to give it MORE immunities, then you could have it Trigger Unburden in Battle to negate the negate effects of Paralyze. Pokemon with Poison Heal or Guts/Toxic Boost would LOVE the Misate Herb, as well as a select few species that can handle perpetual Poison drain. 

To answer your question, though: No, it would still Badly Poison most Poison Types or those with Abilities that render the user Immune to Status. If you had a Salazzle I could accept one with Corrosin not getting Poisoned, though they'd still suffer a different sort of nasty side effect as balance. These Herbs are SUPER potent - unless you got an Ability that bypasses the inherent negatives of a Status then the Mon is going to suffer them no matter what FOREVER.

We'll see how it responds. Depending, Sylvia may be quite happy to let Bernhard take it. And depending, she might not. But yeah, Sylvia's not intent on fighting if at all avoidable.

No fighting indeed, and no hard feelings. XP bidding sounds fine enough IF things go awry - let's hope they won't. Though be prepared for Bernhard intercepting if he feels like things are derailing or Sylvia prevents him from getting what he wants.
