[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

"Don't thank me, Oz.  Thank the exhausted Espeon over there.  She's the one that brought ya back.  I'm just the cleanup detail at this point."

Her comments on being willing to do it again get an annoyed sigh from Seddi.  "Oz, what did I tell you when we first met?  Ya can't help anyone if you're injured or dead.  And ya don't have to do this alone.  Speaking of..."



One more sad sigh from Seddi as he looks at the pokemon Oz gave her life to revive.  Though what he sees is encouraging as what exactly he's looking at finally sinks in.  A rare and very welcome sight in this situation. (OOC, I have been informed of what species Glinda is, and will factor that in while still remaining vague, as I don't think this detail has actually been revealed IC yet)

"Ah, fancy seeing one of your kind here.  Good.  Oz is gonna need strong protection.  And you hers.  She's fine, but you'll probably want to throttle her for this too.  If either of you dies, the other one will as well.  This sacrifice did not come without its cost, even with everything put into reversing it."

Seddi looks back at Oz.  "Don't go forgettin' what I said again, Oz.  It's not just your life on the line anymore.  Take a moment.  Catch your breath.  Just let the Verdant Terrain and Safeguard do their thing.  And as far as your physical condition goes, you'll be fine."

And then he lets out a breath and relaxes.  Clearly less worried now, but still not leaving Oz's side.

Oz smile, and then hug harder the little Espeon. "...Already...working...on...it..."

Oz sigh and then relax a bit, trying to let Verdant Terrain and Safeguard ease her wounds. She does not have much words to say, only relax. "...Don't...know...about...you...all...But...I...could...use...some...sleep...Lets...go...home...and...sleep..."

"Interesting... this is at least the third or fourth Pokemon who can talk or write that I've seen today. Wild."

Vernon motions Pwee over - the giant lilypad will serve perfectly as a low Japanese-style table for someone who is probably too weary to stand, like Oz. Vernon bustles around setting up salty snacks, carbs, protein, and drinks with some electrolytes and sugar.

"Guess we won't be taking our high-stakes boat ride today," he laughs.

Munchlax is released to wander around the Shrine, the Heavy Duty Boots trusted to protect him from traps. Vernon thinks maybe previous travelers might have dropped some interesting things. Are all parts of the Shrine area well-maintained?

That's Sutalor for ya - a wild place all around.

Pwee doesn't grumble about being used as a table (nor not getting all the snacks on them). Like with Dodrio, they too Understand the severity of What Happened, a latent sense of Empathy awakening for things not their beloved nom noms. + 1 Empathy for this Encounter.

Munchlax finds what appears to be an old Premier Apricot, though it looked too worn to hold an actual Mon. Items it can contain very well, on the other hand (+Storage) . 

*Rolls* It also finds $200 Poke scattered about, though whether its a good idea to take it instead of leaving it in the shrine is up to you. 

The shrine is in immaculate condition - better than similar kinds of places you may or may not have visited even. You feel welcome by the place as you take in it, as if meeting an old friend once more after a long journey.

For @Dragonstrike and @Pokekitty2 - You can't make any Wishes on the Argent Flame. It's Capacity for such has been thoroughly spent Granting them to Akamu and Oz (ESPECIALLY the later).

Sylvia is *real* tired. She's likely to drift off to sleep with Oz here, though Oz moving or being moved would wake her up. Regardless, it's likely straight back home for long sleepies asap - Myra may as well come along, Slash will be there to help her settle in for a night if needed. Given the type matchup and his demeanor, he shouldn't pose a threat.

On the note of Myra actually, Seddi can't help but notice that Bernhard is mysteriously absent currently.  Darren's running a little late too, but he's not as immediately concerned about the bug type specialist for a very odd reason: the Ninetales that's present is actually a new face for Seddi, though he assumes it belongs to someone in the group, given their presence here.  And by process of elimination, as they're not a bug, alolan, not crowded around Oz, definitely not one of Sylvia's partners, and not a grass type or native to Sinnoh...

"Ya one of Bernhard's partners, Ninetales?  Ya don't happen to know where he is, do ya?"

Leaves can't really conveniently help him with translating right now, but little does Seddi know that certain individuals here have a surprising answer to his question...

And been brough back to the land of the living. She looks at each of her Pokemon. Shocked, and she could see lot of them extremely irate at her.

"...I...I...alive...What...is..." She could barely focus anything. She feel someone hold her. "Who...who...is"

Her gaze go up, and then froze in shock. Her sister...Glinda. Alive. Angry for sure...but alive.

Oz eyes begin to tear up. She didn't expect her wish to granted twice...Having Glinda back...and be alive to stay with her.

"Glinda...Sis...sister..." With a weak shaking hand, she hold her sister cheek, almost fearful she would disapear. "...I...I can't...believe it...You...back...and...I...alive...But...how...?"

Oz then look at the field: Sylvia, exausted. Seddi, as always coming to her rescue. Vernnon, coming too. Ianai and Akamu there. Seddi also angry, calling her idiot along with her sister. "...Once again...acting...like...Batman...You...sure...know...when...to...appear...Seddi..."

Oz is weak. Extremely weak. But this can't compare to the joy in having her sister back. She...also notice the dismay most of her family is having...There lot to do...But now...that...can wait.

Slowy, she return the hug to Glinda. "...I....sorry...It...It was...my fault...Because...I was...weak...I was...prideful...My friends...they died...You...died...I...finally got...the...chance...to...change...fate...And...I...would...do...it...again...For you...and our sisters/family...A medic...can't...save...everyone...but...it...can...save...as...many...lives...it...can...Thats...my...oath..."

She try to give a smile. But she still feel a lot of pain. She lets Iron Leafs and Seddi help her. She is gladly to have her family back again...After years of self hatred, guilty, and suffering...Oz heart is slowy healing. Perhaps not completely, since the Guilty still weigh in her mind...But now...Today she can have a bit of happiness.

"Oz...." 

Your old sister cradled you softly....before she *SLAPS!* you across the face! Not hard enough to Damage, but it sure did sting !

"You very well know WHY, you absolute BUFFOON. Why.....I know why, but why did you - !"

At this point is when Seddi and Co bust onto the scene, and the ensuing check-ups and chew outs take place.

Glinda lets out a very put upon huff but tenderly returns your hug, as if still in disbelief *she's back* and *with you* once more.

"Oh why did I choose such a softhearted fool as my Fated Partner. Tender One....I never beGrudged you for what happened. You didn't - SHOULDN'T -  have to feel like you had to do....this to repent. My love was freely given, and so too my life. Please, PLEASE do not so horribly try to throw it away again. Please....."

You (Seddi/@Dragonstrike) earn a huff yourself for your rather blunt way of putting the kind of Bond they share now, though judging by the bitter look she's not too pleased about such a black thread of Fate tying her and her Sister so tightly together. Not because she disdains being reunited with them - Arceas no! - but the fact she could one day become a liability to them. If not dying and dragging them back to the grave with her, then by shackling them to the mortal plane - for as a reverent Ghost she and by extension her Sister has a long existence ahead of them....

"Quite. *Nods* Well meet in turn, Warded Soul. And I most certainly will - honesty doing such a rash and foolish thing, by Arceas.... "

Oz gets a stern look accompanying your warning for them on the Matter as well as what looked like a tightening of her hug to better *emphasize* the point.

"Yes, dear Sister, do heed and remember his words, or I most certainly will make you."

Oz laugh a bit, but begin to cough, still weakned by such ordeal. "I...think...you...right...I...will appreciate...that...ride...other...day...Vernon...Thank...you..." She looks at Glinda. "...Sister...these...are...Vernon...and...Seddi...My...companions...and...friends...They...are...amazing...people...And those...are...Ianai...and...Akuma...They...also...great..."

Oz look at her other family members. Fortuna and Persephone is problably flaggebasted and angry at her. "I...sorry...sisters...I...had...to...try...bring...her...back..." Oz look at Hecate and the other Pokemons. "...Glinda...meet Hecate...Bethy...Dite...and Meza...They are...my sisters too...And they...are...family...Hecate...Bethy...Meza...meet...Glinda...my...sister...too...There...gonna...be...time...to talk...But...I...am...still...tired...Need...to...sleep..."

The Good Witch, Once Reborn, gives a nod to the Wanderlust Soul and Wake's Soul, a tired but genuine smile on her face.

"Greetings, Starry Ones. As you may already know, my name is Glinda the Good Witch. Thank you for looking out for my rather troublesome Sister."

Fortuna is too overwrought with her feelings about THIS to do much of anything bug cuddle close, but you have a Gut inkling you are REALLY going to be in for it later with the Fortune Witch. 

Persaphone, however, simply gives you a Knowing Look and smile, not a hint of animosity or Spite about her. Considering that you died but came back like SHE did....well, she certainly has her own way of seeing things. On your end you feel closer to her than EVER, in fact - though how well that turns out remains to be seen...

Bethy just lets loose a long *SIGH* and ruefully shakes her head, not deaning to commit - you do see a hint of a smile and more than a little Respect from them, however.

Meza just looks amazed at what happened....then looks to the Argent Flame. After a beat she simply shook her head and plompted down beside you, sad yet....content.

Dite is Fainted; Check back later when she is Conscious enough to FREAK OUT! about this all over again.

Hecate, though? Oh Hecate...

She gives you a downright HURT, F U R I O U S *GLARE* , before promptly recalling herself to her Ball, not even acknowledging Glinda's look of Empathy or your own weariness. Omph. Sure fucked up here, mate...

Your Reborn Sister simply holds your arm and shakes her head if you move to Summon Hecate, as if to say 'Give her time.'

The dried up Apricorn is jury-rigged to the saddle, giving it a nice streamlined, natural saddlebag effect. Vernon leaves the $200 alone if it looks like it was purposely given to the shrine in any way.

Vernon often uses Turtwig as a pair of pruning shears, but looking around, there's not a single thing in need of pruning. Everything is so peaceful and beneficient that Turtwig smiles, closes his eyes in happiness, and wriggles down into the sweet-smelling earth with just his leaflet poking up above the loam. He could sleep like that for hours, and Vernon doesn't disturb Turtwig when he gets like this unless absolutely necessary. Today, Vernon can see the Earthpower gathering in his little buddy - the power that can be used like magic, but is sourced within the growing of green things, the healthy potential of soil, the warm sunshine on benevolent microbes, the reservoirs of rain between every particle of clay. No magic effect is necessary - the Earthpower is always waiting there, an endless gift, especially for a Grass type (and eventual Ground type).

"Would it be looking a gift Mudbray in the mouth to ask... what the heck is the power living in this shrine, that can grant such a powerful wish?"

That, too, might have something to do with Earthpower? But in a much flashier and more active way!

Despite Myra's news you, though, have a Gut Feeling you'd still be able to Meet With Him if you head out to where you agreed upon...

Your question gets no overt response, but by the way the Argent Flame seems to dim and then glow, and what little you can sense from your sprouting connection to The Earth....

Earth Power was not the source of these Flames power. At least, not alone. Another, more Arcane force was at play - one with connections to the Divine, the Mysterious, and the Stars....

The gorgeous and most fluffy looking kitsune's face puckered up like she bit into a Aspear, but she nods to you once and then shakes her head. Yes, she's her Master Bernhard's, no, she has no idea where he's out. Or even if she wants to know....

Even with your limited Insight you get a strong sense of 'Woman spurned' coming from this vixen by the way her mood has taken a tinge of sulking...

Your trusty stead, on the other hand, is entirely unmoved by the plights of the fox - both too busy with Her own gripes and simply because she can not be bothered to care in the first place.

Leaves's discomfort doesn't escape Seddi's notice.  This is exactly why he got that Pericot Berry.  Only reason he was holding off on showing it to her was those side effects that were mentioned.  Not ideal if they could interfere with an extremely delicate recovery process!

He'll pull it out and offer it to her now though.  "Can't very well just leave ya like that without offerin' a solution, Leaves.  Ya want a quick fix, I got one right here for ya.  Probably will have some kinda side effect though even if it does help, so be warned.  Maybe hold off on snackin' until we're sure your unique talents aren't necessary."  Sure, he could wait until tomorrow in hopes that the headache will go away on its own, but he's nothing if not considerate, so he'll present the option to Leaves.  Besides, they're partners, and partners look out for each other!
