[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
(05-13-2025, 09:41 PM)Iron Wrote: That's actually really good info to have.

Vernon gazes longingly at the giant Quagsire, then snaps back into focus. Dealing with a pseudo is never a time to let your attention wander.

Vernon is gathering a nice checklist of how Cruz reacts to things and how to soothe his ego.

So now to the docks, to see if anyone there has ever trained this species or a similar one. Maybe Vernon will take some actual lessons on handling a (nonpokemon) boat - out of character for him, as he usually likes to relax and let the Pokemon do all the work of carrying him! But it will let him challenge Cruz more if he knows how to zip up waterfalls, pull waterskis, crash through big waves, etc. It's all about extreme sports for Cruz.

Vernon's gonna head to the docks now, just looking for advice and extreme boating skills. Cruz will not be released today.

Seeing the agreement to be Teleported by most the Good Witch nods, raising her hand as her eyes become fully alight with her Power....

"Teleport."
- And Seddi, Oz, Vernon,  and Sylvia find themselves at the Pokemon Center, as promised. The Nurses and staff, upon seeing the frankly ABOMINABLE condition both the Espeon and young witch was in, immediately rushed the two into critical care. The cowboy and gardener, seeing as they're in much better condition, simply get offered a quick check up as well as a few blunt inquiries at to what the hell happened to your friends.

From here, Seddi can do as he Wishes. Same as Sylvia, though with how Drained she is even the thought of doing much beyond Resting might not appeal (You still have 1 Mod and Minor Encounter remaining, btw) . Oz....not so much - she's tapped out, and BETTER choose to rest or face the wrath of Glinda and the rest of the Coven!!!

Vernon eventually finds his feet carry him to a particular shop, one where his Wayfarer's Intuition and new found Earth Power hint at may be the place to get help for his metalophant friend: The Lapis Lagoon Trading and Transport Company. Entering the shop, you see a slightly tanned lady sleeping behind the main desk, her long violet hair in a pony tail drapping off to the side as she saws logs....

Seddi will tip his hat to Akamu in farewell before they Teleport away.  "Don't do anythin' rash yourself, now.  This place clearly isn't messin' around."

*blip*

And without missing a beat, he does whatever he can to assist the nurses with moving Oz and Sylvia into the Center proper.  When asked what happened, he keeps it brief and blunt himself.  "Magic.  Powerful magic.  Not Scimitar magic though.  'Bout to go discuss this with a Magi contact I have.  Keep me updated on Oz's condition, will ya?"

Well, that's been handled.  Before he heads out though, he'll ask Sylvia (@Pokekitty2), "Need my assistance with anythin' before I head to the Magi Embassy with Bernhard's Ninetales?"

Lapis Lagoon, what a beautiful name.

Vernon has changed clothes into a boating outfit, which includes nice gloves, a wide brimmed hat with a chin strap, goggles, and a brightly colored stripe down the back of his long sleeve shirt for visibility. And of course he's wearing Crocanaws on his feet.

Vernon ambles around the company, checking out any merchandise or machines while the lady sleeps. His attention is completely engrossed in the shelves or whatever - or at least he's pretending so. When it's gone on long enough without her waking, he purposely scuffs his feet loudly, or picks up something from a shelf and clonks it down with a noise, to let her save face if she wants.

Darren checks to see where the astral gem is leading him, then does the Chief of the Lepians casting in the street performance once he's checked out what the gem is pointing out.

Sylvia pauses for a second, trying to focus. Then:
...yes, actually. Message Bernhard for me - I've need to talk with him regarding his newest partner, ASAP. I've some info on its origins. Also, giving him my new number would be nice.

@Lord Windos - Plan is honestly to rest. IC she's got a lot taken outta her, and OOC I don't want to risk too much with -5 to everything, lol. Call resting at the pokecenter the mod encounter, if you will. Eventually she'll make her way home, which can be the minor.
Just a lil' Eevee, learning to draw...

"Will do.  I'll give that message to him in person, in fact."

Wait a second...

"Hang on just a moment.  You've met Bernhard already?  If I may ask, when did that happen?"

He thought he was gonna have to give Sylvia the rundown of who's who in their little group, but that might not be as necessary as he thought it seems...

(I will try to be brief with Oz reactions to everything that happen.)

- Receive with the slap in her face with big surprise. Although it was not enough to cause damage, it was still enough to make her flinch from pain. And her skin still feel very sensitive due to the whole ordeal, enough to a little tear of pain escape her eye. "Owwww...You...meanie..." Oz cry a bit. She knows she deserves such rush treatment (specially considering how harsh Glinda was alive) but still very paintful. She decided not to push her luck any longer and just accept punishment.

- Oz was extremely worry about the bond with Glinda, in how her life is now connected to her and verse versa. She was silent though, since she did imagined some miracle like this would not be pull of without a extremely grand sacrifice.

- Oz ask to put Dite close to her, and just like Sylvia, she hug the little fox Pokemon to get closer to her as possible, making sure the little mon have a nice and cozy place to rest after witness such ordeal.

- Oz did think in summon Hecate, and apologize to her, but she understand Hecate fury, and Glinda words was enough to dispell her notion in summon her sister back. Right now, her sister need some time to calmdown and then have a heart-to-heart conversation. There a lot to do.

- For the teleportation, Oz was surprise but extremely happy with Glinda new ability learn, and how much excited she is upon the teleportation. It will come in handy later for sure.!

- Oz simple accepted the resting and care she received from the doctors, but insisted that Dite could be kept all times close to her. If her sisters want, Oz will also let her Pokemon out of their Pokeballs to keep a eye on her. Besides, she does have a feeling even if she wanted, their Pokemon would not return to their Pokeballs, even if she wanted, so they pretty much out of their Pokeballs (with exception problably be Hecate, still furious at her sister).

- For now, Oz is resting in her bed, her state more stable and still tired. She will stay the rest of the day resting, and trying to recover from her state. Seddi or the other (included Oz sisters) could say or do something before Oz get the rest of the day sleeping.

(I think I will take a stop now to get some rest. Had a long day with my friend and I think some rest might be good. Sorry if this post was not in the same level as the others ones I made, but there was so many things happening that I decided to summarize them as quick as possible before I take the rest for the night.)

There was not all that much for sale concerning boating or fishing - a few toolboxes, scuba equipment, various odds and ends to repair a boat or modifying a fishing rod, etc.  - with the business front small and sparsely stocked on the whole. From what you could see from the outside and the doors leading back it seems like  most of its operations or any 'deals' take place further in, while the area you were in was for receiving folks.

The violet hair woman jumps violently, shooting quick as a Pigeot and a hand darting to the her side beneath the counter, until she just shes you and scowls.

"A Sinnish berk? What the fuck are you doing - "

She pauses, sniffing the air for several long moments....before a wide, toothy Sharpedo-like grin streched across her face.

"Well well well. Blood and magic on a soft looking man like you. Interesting."

She motions for you to come forward, and presuming you do she leans forward on the desk, her eyes sharp as she drummed with on hand on the counter.

"You certainly don't look like somebody that dabbles with the messier and magicky side of things, but I've been wrong before. So. What brings you here to Lapis Lagoon, monk?"

Darren checks to see where the astral gem is leading him, then does the Chief of the Lepians casting in the street performance once he's checked out what the gem is pointing out.

That Moment has passed - apparently you were so engrossed by the new Queen to be on your team that the Astral Stone's Warning completely Flew over your head and the situation has fully resolved by the time you check it and confirm things. You know something bad happened to Oz, but now that she was alright again (mostly). A few texts to your companions might be in order to clear things up...

As for your Roll, you find yourself on the stage - much bigger than you thought, now that you were actually on it (Wonder Room Tech, maybe?) - and have been given a Lepian Chieftan Costume (Similar to what Ianai wore, but a bit more elaborate and a bramble crown on your head) . You area of the 'Battlefield' was dense underbrush and a 'forest' of 'tree' that cut off direct sightlines to the place you were supposed to be Defending and Holding the Line. This Terrain shall GREATLY benefit your Bugs attempts at being Stealthly, setting Traps and Ambushes, as well as just making the place as inhospitable as possible to 'Invaders' .

You've been given the follow 'Script' to follow :

- You're allowed to use your Mons to modify and Trap the area, as well as put them in good spots to Stealth and Ambush.
- Your goal is to primarily Defend the area - this means trying to drive off the Settlers or prevent them from getting past your defenses/Mons and straight at YOU. If you get 'Captured' (Knockdowned and then Grappled) by the opposing Forces OR if someone manages to slip by you and past a pair of 'Gate Trees' you LOSE .
- You're allowed to KO Mons, and even the opposing Actors if they leave themselves Open to it or your Mons make a good/lucky Ambush.
- You WIN by either Defeating the Forces before you and preventing anyone from bypassing you, Repel the Forces through Tactics, Good Defenses, and a Show of Force/Intimidation, or you find a way to Ally with Rouge elements to force your Foes to Surrender.

You're given plenty of time to make your Preparations: What ideas do you got cooking?

Also, if you let her out, Smore seems rather interested in 'Reinforcing Potential Territory' , and expresses desire to take Command of Glommena and Galvantula to 'Lead the Defense' and 'Prepare the Area' for 'Invaders' . Question is, do you Trust your new Mon enough to allow this 'Division of Labor and Planning' ?
