Why do you think we have been stocking up on items? Ventus has an idea that Bad Times are inbound, so he's certainly going to be on the look out when the other shoe drops!

Not as exciting as you were hoping, Windos? It's mostly just Nathan trying to get schedules straight if everyone wants to watch. Though maybe it is a little exciting for Ventus, because he knew Nathan was challenging Zamboni, but not when.

My curiosity is satisfied, so that is all that matters in the end! Though I'm a little bummed that Nathan and Shiva have obtained some rare Pokémon for there team. Really wish to get a Dragon, Ghost, or Steel type on the team!
 
@Iron : Well, since everyone but me, Dragonstrike, and maybe Larry (That kid hasn't had to most predictable roleplay recently...) are asleep/offline for awhile, you can move the plot/gym battle at your discretion.

As is tradition, at least one Squirtle attempts a last minute Water Gun (one year it was Hydro Cannon!) to propel himself to the finish line ahead of Creshire Chrome, racing buck and pride of the East. It doesn't work. Flush with the energy of Spring, the famed Sawsbuck gracefully leaps through the red ribbon at races end.

How was a Squirtle using Hydro Cannon?  The only base starters in the games capable of using the elemental hyper beams in the games are the Johto starters, and that was a VERY special case in pokemon XD since only the fully evolved Kanto starters could learn those moves at that time.  (that, and you had to go through a 100 enemy gauntlet with 0 breaks 3 times to get all 3 of those basic starters with their hyper beam variant and an egg move).  That'd have to be quite the special squirtle!

By the way, is Nathan still unhappy about Apsis eating habits? If he is, Ventus can always just have her eat her prey when he's not around, or capture it so that she can have the meal later in privacy.

Order: Cheer on Nathan in his first Gym Battle! If its possible, I'd like to turn the cheerleading into a training session for all my Pokémon! It may not look like it, but its definitely hard work!

Plusle and Minun are cheerleaders in and of themselves!  I expect they'll be having a great deal of fun during this battle!

He's respectful of the decision, if not entirely happy with it.  He won't complain about it too much if he sees more of it, as long as Ventus is keeping in mind the consequences the action might have.  The combee was an extreme case since that could have put everyone in a lot of unnecessary danger.

Fair enough, I suppose. He's going to be more mindful of what Apsis is eating for now on, and try to keep the others from seeing it. No need for unnecessary drama, right?

Nathan walks into the gym, feeling confident.  "Hello again, Zamboni.  I think it's about time I cashed in my chances to battle you, no? 
 I've been looking forward to this, as have Ralts and Swiftfire."  Everyone was able to make it to see his first attempt to beat Zamboni, the majority of their business at the festival concluded already, though Valder seemed to only be there just because he could be.  He presents the first CarnyCoin to Zamboni so the serial number can be registered as used.  "Well, your battle, your terms.  What're the rules?"
