Yaaay!~ Lol, of course she would NOT run off to drag Ven to the PCs now and attempt videocalling to Castelia City. It's GM's discretion when the connection is stable enough to call to other regions, I have actually no influence to this.

(Don't mess with her father, but I fear that unless Ven does or says something very stupid/fails to surpress his feelings for Shiva during call/hints on what dangerous things they did so far on their journey, he's safe.)

You didn't factor in Absol's -2 pain when doing the evade.  Since the only success was in its last two dice, Absol's going to take another Draining Kiss before Moonlight goes off. It won't cause Moonlight to fail if he hits -3 pain, but it could give Nathan a chance to catch it.

Absol would also have less HP at the end of the round, and Kirlia will have another die in draining kiss 2 if Absol's not at 1 HP and will have restored some HP in the process as well (he'll be at full HP at the end of the round again, lol)

I was toying with giving Absol's more buffs to make him a suitably battlesome Pokemon, but I think instead we'll just edit to claim it's a 1v1 battle for Kirlia. Obviously he's plenty strong enough.

Really he would probably declare one less action with no chance to evade, or shuffle his actions around to maximize his chances, but it's too awkward to fix all that now.

Working on my next round of orders. Hmmm...we really going to retcon absol's decision to the 1v1? While Kirlia is holding his own so far, it's mostly been through a lot of nitpicking and some lucky night slash misses and low damage rolls. Kirlia won't be able to keep up forever if the dice are rather unkind...particularly since a critical Night Slash has a low chance of just outright ohkoing him.

Yeah, I think it needs to be a challenge. You can use items though.
