There was it again... Something changed. Something in the room was different almost suddenly, and it nothing to do with the Capsule. At least not directly. It wasn't the atmosphere in the Room... It was probably not even noticable if Shiva wouldn't be present and prone to alterations in emotion... It wasn't the first time something like this happened either. Think about, such a situation was not very new... A slight movement of Shiva's gaze to the right to the person next to her confirmed her careful assumption. Ven was indeed the source of a weird change; something about his smile and stance was different now. There was more behind it than the ordinary eye would see. Contrary to her or the receptionist, was he not too pleased with the invention of such an altered Ability Capsule? That'd be the only explanation. Yet Shiva didn't cotton on why he reacted like this...

She patiently listened to Ven's words, and indeed it was as she expected. For a moment, she had to push aside her own fascination for the Capsule as while she knew Ven had quite the control over himself, she'd prefer to not risk anything or accidently put the receptionist on edge. Very faintly she gave him a single pat on the shoulder of him closest to her, followed by a barely noticable shaked head as if wordlessly saying 'Ven... This is not the right time. Please calm yourself.' in a non-threathing ring.

The following words were audible though in a soft and somewhat gloomy tone. "It may be a more...'drastic' way to make a Pokemon feel better, that is true Ven, but I'm sure it'd only be used or even considered to being used in the most severe cases where no other brought help to the Pokemon raised its spirit." *facing the receptionist* "Isn't it so?" 'The development and production of such a Capsule likely isn'.t too cheap, I fear...', but that thought remained a thought.

I'm not sure how to interpret this command; I am assuming you mean across two rounds? And how many actions would you like to use with Fury Swipes?

Not only an Ability Capsule, but even one that adds or changes ability to pleasant Cloud Nine... How sweet and overly practical. Shiva also heard of a region called Orre, but didn't managed to connect this name with something specific. It having to do with some weird 'darker' Pokemon she once read about was all she would name certain.

"This is a wonderful idea. Cloud Nine Ability... Pushing away dark clouds in a Pokemon's mind... That sounds like an efficient inorganic antidepressant for the traumatized Pokemon. (Shiva would always prefer organic/natural meds for the effect however if possible, at least for her Pokemon) Please do tell me, how does it create this side effect of Cloud Nine to the Pokemon? Does the capsule contain any special substances or is planned to do so, and would the Pokemon receiving the capsule be aware of the 'change'?"

"I'm no scientist, so I cannot answer your first or second question. The Pokemon would definitely know, as it would notice a change in its own powers. It's a subtle effect, they tell me, akin to simply being born with a different ability. The result, Mr. Ventus, is no different than if you trained your Pokemon over many years to have a different ability. It does not force the Pokemon to act in any way; simply clears up the mind. Not much different than giving a Pokemon a Vitamin. Also, some are theorizing that the Capsule will add the ability as an addition rather than change it, as I alluded to earlier. But rest assured we will test this thoroughly. Other regions, such as Kalos, have used similar Ability Capsules with no ill effects. Hopefully this assuages some of your fears. If not, I can give you the number of the scientist working on it and he can discuss the ethics with you."

Shelter receptionist: "Oh, but that reminds me. This is even more secret than the initial pill idea, but I heard that the Almanac is working on a similar idea. If I know anything about that organization, they will not be so concerned with a Pokemon's well being. I can tell from what you said that you understand the potential problems."

A subtle effect sounded calming... It could be a subtle poison as well though. But appearantly not in this case, which kinda eased her.

As for the Almanac... While the idea to make a Pokemon more happy/free by subtly whipping off the clouds in its mind is noble in Shiva's view, doing so with force and appearantly less concernment for the Pokemon's wellbeing was indeed a questionable thing. It was for the Pokemon's own good, but at the same time it was not... How weird. She began to be unsure about how to feel about the organisation.

Once Ventus has brought up his part/thoughts, I'd be down for the next room of the Tour. Still avoiding the Discipline Room (though would it be part of a Tour at all??) as Shiva will stay in the Play Room instead. If worst comes to worst, I'll flashback to what she does there.

"I don't know how much of the Clinic will be interesting to you. We don't have a Healing Machine, as there are a limited number of those in Creshire, and a limited ability to make more. But we have a stock of healing items and tools, as well as a minor surgery ward. Our most important part of this clinic is over there, the Post-Trauma Ward. Pokemon deal with abandonment issues and sometimes they have untreated wounds."

There's a few toys here too, in the waiting room style. Books, too - apparently some Pokemon like being read to.

"For serious issues, or for issues that can wait - both of these are taken care of at the Grand Pokemon Center. Not much to show here, but we try our best to keep Pokemon comfortable when they need medical attention."

---------------------

"We're passing the Discharge Room now. It's boring - just a place where paperwork is taken care of. But it's a room of joy like none other in this place. And the runner up is the Play Room."

The Play Room is just a big empty room, with a few cabinets that have treats and simple toys in them. "This is for trainers to test their bond with a Pokemon they are thinking of adopting. If it's empty, Shiva, you are welcome to use it as a resting point after we visit the Inmate Room, which you simply must see. But if anyone comes in with one of our Pokemon, please give them priority."

--------------------

The Inmate Room is the biggest one yet, with little cubicles or kennels organized by terrains where that Pokemon might be found. The budget is obviously low, but they've done a pretty good job with what they have. The pool is especially impressive.

Ventus notices right away that there are four Tangrowths, taking up a big percentage of the kennels in the forested area. Your guide chases a Rotom away from the fuse box, which is hung with apparently ineffective Cleanse Tags, or their cheap equivalent.

The rarest Pokemon in the room is a magnificent Pyroar, curled up in a bed he has dragged into the common area (the kennel doors are mostly open right now, allowing access to the common area). No other Pokemon goes near the Pyroar.

A wise old Ariados sits calmly, with two legs in front of it reminiscent of an old man drinking tea. She has webbing cushioning her massive abdomen. A Krokorok leans contentedly against her, but snaps at the other Pokemon that come near, even the only other Bug in the room, a Crustle. A Zebstrika races around and around and around - it has on a shock collar.

A Delcatty with an evil expression is kept in a locked kennel. A few other uncontrolled Pokemon include a Kingdra, Cloyster, and Tentacruel in the pools, a Hypno, an unconscious Voltorb, and a Persian. The weirdest Pokemon around is a trio of black Unown!

"I should warn you -" begins your guide.

Suddenly, the room blinks strangely. Power washes over Ventus' emotions in particular. All eyes are drawn to a Gothitelle wearing a tinfoil hat. She holds out her hands placatingly - you can see a line drawn on the floor which she never crosses.

The ceiling of the Shelter suddenly becomes invisible. You can see the feet of Tropius and a Tauros up on the transparent green roof. Through it, though it is daytime, stars are visible...You are both drawn into the vision... Gothitelle's sight zooms in on a particular patch of celestial bodies. Shiva actually recognizes a few of them from her books. There's the constellation Tauros, understood to represent the grasslands and savannahs. There's Skorupi, the desert constellation. And Ursaring Major, the brightest star in the Mountain Galaxy. The Evening Star (planet Venus) also makes an appearance; it represents Water/Ships/Oceans according to your memory of the book or your lore. All four of these celestial bodies slide right next to each other, aligned just short of conjunction when traced from Gothitelle's tormented eyes. Green vines burst from the vision, writhing around the four star groups. They burst and fade, leaving only the stars. The star groups slide by, rotating around each other (though they are many light years apart in reality; only in perception are they near). Conjunction never occurs...time goes by...the vision ends.

"I'm so sorry!" wails the receptionist. "Bad Gothitelle! You know you're supposed to keep your visions to yourself! We've never been able to find a way to block them, though the Pokemon herself doesn't even want them."

The Circumnavigator Round 9

Spinda retreats and picks up a piece of metal and starts banging it on the rock. As its eyes spin, Rose feels the sonic force focus itself in her direction!

Uproar
(4)(4)(5)(6)
2 Str + 3 power + 1 STAB -3 vit = 3 dice
(5)(4)(3) Monferno takes 2 dmg 3/7hp -2 pain.

Monferno steps forward through the staggering noise and hits Spinda over the head.

Close Combat 1
5 dice, -2 pain, -2 actions = 1 dice
(4)
3 Str + 1 blackbelt +1 STAB + 5 power -2 vit = 8 dice+1
(2)(2)(1)(1)(4)(4)(5)(4) Spinda takes 4 dmg and faints!. 0/6hp -3 pain.

Monferno rubs her wrist. Looks like it's hurting again. -1 defense to Monferno.

Monferno is still confused as well. That speedy Close Combat almost unbalanced her.

Heart has 11Xp to split up among his 3 Pokemon. He gains 6!

Of course some Pokemon enjoy being read to!~ Well, but appearantly not Shiva's Azurill.

The Discharge Room..."Oh, ehm, please do remind me that I need to visit that room later on. Need to fill out a paper concerning the selling of the fruit one of my Pokemon grows and regrows. Just for the recording, nothing bad! ^^; And I'd be happy to see the Play Room after the...room with the adult Pokemon. Thanks a lot for the offer!" 'Inmate Room' had such a negative ring for Shiva and she prefered to not use that term. The receptionist-tourguide uses it without hesitation - somewhat scary, while for a weird reason impressive at the same time. Curiosity and slight fear for that particular room strikes.

Curiosity that was not dashed in the slightest. While it was visible that the Shelter could use some funds to raise their budget and offer the Pokemon a little more, they did well with anything they had available and a little creativity. It was that creativity that impressed Shiva a little more - she herself found it quite interesting how many different feelings the visit of this Shelter has given her so far.

Cleanse Tags reminded Shiva of a thing... Of course she stayed away from that mighty Pyroar, but she couldn't help but to admire its grace even in sleep. Same with the Ariados. While it was a Poison Type (even combined with Bug Type, ugh), Shiva didn't got the feeling that there was much to fear from that exemplar. Especially since its kennel door was open and a Krokorok in its company. It seemed like these two have gone through a lot, good and hard times. Why where they here? Did their owners deceased? Water Type Pokemon don't interest Shiva much, same with the Tangrowth. What caught her attention was a particular cream-coloured and lavender cat - a Delcatty! But, wait a moment, why did it gaze at Shiva with such an evil expression? Those she knew were friendly if treated we... Ah. IF treated well and being allowed to have the freedom to eat and sleep whenever they feel like. "Eh, do excuse me," she began towards the receptionist - but further she didn't come, because the room beagn to blink weirds, quickly followed by some sort of display of power.

Oh... That Gothitelle that appeared rather quickly ended her wondering what the source of it was, as she could amost sense what MAY occur next. These Pokemon are known for something particular, and it was the reason Shiva held both a liking and a huge respect of this evolution line. Though, she never saw any of them wearing a tinfoil hat...

It was almost pointless to say that Shiva certainly enjoyed that display of a vision and stargazing. They were even clearer than on the normal sky even if it was daylight, like in a planetarium... Surely she recognized a few of the celestial bodies, with Ursaring Mayor being her favorite... Besides, there were these blasted vines again... But they seemed weak against the precious cosmos. Or did it mean that things will drastically change after the vines and anything related to them is 'defeated'?

*****

As quickly as the vision came, it ended, and probably contrary to Ventus Shiva could get used to having/seeing such visions. Now she even felt a little more better than, calmer, time indeed goes on and by. That yelling at the Gothitelle came a little too harsh for Shiva, but at second thought it might be comprehensible that such behaviour is not accepeted... "Oh, no need to be sorry! Not in my case as that was...great... Do tell me, where does that particular Gothitelle originate from? Does it display such visons on regular basis? Same with that Delcatty... What causes it being the only one in a locked kennel?" Something in her told her to adopt both of 'em, but she before she thought further she knew that this won't happen for various reasons.

Astrology is no Speciality, but I'd certainly count it as something Shiva has Knowledge about. Every enthusiast for natural magic should have! Good call, Iron. First up, finding out a little more about that Delcatty and Gothitelle, leading to the question whether it'd be possible to take both of 'em into the Play Room.
