[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(11-30-2017, 09:46 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Yeah. Filled Cheshire with a bunch of Pokemon who invaded the dream of people, kill them AND cause fear, chaos and genocide. Its already bad a Legendary Pokemon like Darkrai who can control the fears and nightmares of people. Now, a bunch of Pokemon Delta who cause damage insite and outside of the dream world? I dont know who is more evil. The Almanac to give birth to this type of Pokemon, or Nathan who is might even consider the plan in breed the Delta Houndoom. Its even worse then the time the plan of Arial (in Celadon City) in copy the form and DNA of Mew using a Duplicat.

I'd like to remind you that those were wild ones that did that.  Led by a Mega Delta Houndoom.  To do something of that scale requires an immense amount of power it seems.  And there is no certainty that Almanac was involved in why the Houndour pack was causing havoc in Corsage in the first place.

Evil is FAR too strong of a term to be using here.

1. Almanac has nothing to do with Deltas at all. Deltas occur naturally.
2. Darkrai hasn't been sighted in Creshire to your knowledge.
3. The Houndour have never killed anyone. They eat fear, so they like their victims to stay alive. Much less genocide.
4. Delta Houndour stay mostly in the dream world unless drawn out.

Agree with both Iron and Dragonstrike on this matter, at least in regards to the actual threat the Delta Houndour pose. They are not killing monsters, but rather just predators whose's prey is the fears and fright of people. Not pleasant by any means, but they are not inherently evil. Ventus certainly thinks they are, but he's just plain prejudiced against them so his opinion is certainly not a objective one.

Well, you all right (I will avoid compared each campaigh with other...), but breed a Delta Houndoom who can enter dreams isn't a bit...dangerous? I mean, sure, they are not killing machines or something, but its kinda a bit dangerous to make that type of action. Is there any guarantee Nathan can tame a newborn delta houndor? I not so sure...and there another problem: Shiva is already traumatized in see Nathan Delta Houndoom. Imagined if she find out Nathan breeding another one? Or another ones?! She might fainted or even fear in sleep. I not negleting Shiva strengh in surpass her fear, but still...its something to Nathan consider too.

He also has to consider Ven's and Heart's reactions towards that news as well, but given that didn't change his desire to keep Orthros despite strong objections on Ven's/Shiva's part, he's not going to be dissuaded if their mind is set on this task.

Newborns are far easier to tame than wilds.  Just look at the daycare breeding an Absol of all things.

It's not a project Nathan would start wily nily, though.  Research and extensive precautions would have to be taken first.

Primarily objections on Ventus's part when we're talking in character.  Shiva didn't voice any strong objections when she finally learned of Orthros.

She didn't raise any strong ones, yes, but she made it rather clear of her opinion of Orthros isn't positivey in Nathan's or the dog's favor. She accepts them as a part of Nathan's team and not pure evil, but she doesn't really like it all that much. At least, that is what I got out of that post exchange at the time.

On the subject, even researcher and prep work is enough to get Ventus to leave the group, if he catches wind of it, since that logically still leads to breeding Delta Houndour.

And who's saying it happens now if that's the direction I decide to take this in?

Besides, Delta Houndour's not the only pokemon that Nathan would need a Ditto to breed.

That the kicker, though: it doesn't matter if Nathan breeds it with other Pokémon, only if he breeds it with Orthros/Arcane Pokémon like it (Callem doesn't count), and he'll be against it no matter when.

He's also going to be watchful/keep his ears open if you DO bring up breeding with Ditto, since he's naturally paranoid and suspects you would breed Orthros given their fascination with the species/concern. If you want to breed Orthros, save that for post game when our characters are no longer in our control, and therefore can do whatever they want without our input. At least, that is my recommendation...
