"...and those dice you were referring to during the battle with Buzzwole?  Yeah, I heard that.  Windos, too, actually."

'......Spiritmon role is simple when it comes to you,  really: just provide advice and the occasional bit of commetary to distract you from the situation at hand, for good or ill. He's interested in making sure you succeed in this world as well.....but its not exactly his main focus per say, or at least not directly. That would be....Arial. I'll get to why in a little bit, ok?'

'Phantom, on the other hand, is just that in the grand scheme of events: a phantom. Unlike everyone else involved, they are almost completely uninvested in the state of affairs in our universe, and actually share my sentiments that everything has gone 'off the rails' and into the wild, crazy territory it is in now. However, they DO have a couple people of interest they follow here, but are mostly......passive in their machinmations.  Windos normally expects more activity for people involved in this world, but gives a loooot of leeway to them since they are rather close. Favortism, am I right?'

'.....Now about why Spiritmon is focused on Arial.....well, he's their chosen avatar to explore this world! Surprise!.....or not, since I think you've probably been having inklings of their connection. Spirit is a relative late comer to this world, but was eager to be involved in YOUR story and help out, so he chose a Team Rocket member that matched his personality and Windos arranged for them to join up with you. Strangely and creepily enough, it so happened to be the man that was tailing you until you caught him red handed, so it was easy for Windy to get you two together. So long as Arial is aligned with your goals, so is Spiritmon, but if that madman decides he has his own plans in mind that don't involve you or worse.....yeah, they'll side with them rather than you. I doubt at this point THAT will be a problem, but its....something you need to be aware of. Arial doesn't now about 'Their' existence, and I believe its best that it REMAINS this way. He's already mad enough when he's acting 'normal' AS IS, and NOBODY should exaserbate that by making him Aware..... '

'Oh. The Dice. Err......that's one of those complicated details I choose to left out, but their basically the element of probability that underlies everything in this universe. Windos and the rest of the goons can view and manipulate them to an extent, with Windy having the most influence over it, obviously, but even then the end result of The Dice is almost completely out of their control. Their SUPPOSED to be a impartial force in all things, but I have a sneaking suspicion they've been fucking with us for a looooong time, so I decided to threaten them to see if that would get them to fall into line for a moment. It worked....sorta. I'm not sure I want to do something like that again, to be honest, since the result....speak for themselves.'

"...heh...figures...think I know one person who this Phantom might be interested in..."

...

"...so the dice decide what happens?  Hmmm..."

And the TUVEI's back again!

(Well, yes and no.  Anything that has a chance to go wrong, they are usually employed.  If it's reasonably certain that you'll succeed with little difficulty and no penalties, or it's not a combat scenario or some variant of one (where things always have a chance to go wrong, however slim), they're usually left alone entirely.  When they ARE employed...well, they've been...temperamental, to say the least.  There's been several occasions where Windos has tried to 'correct' them with holy water, throwing out the old dice and getting new ones, etcetera.  It's...not really worked so well.  They still seem to throw out strings of massive failures and crippling successes like there's no tomorrow!  ...though with how some of the results have turned out in a few of those rolls in particular, I wouldn't be surprised if Lady Luck was definitely screwing with the dice personally to fulfill her own whimsical, unknowable desires.)

(Of course, if it seems to be getting too out of hand, Windos can always 'reroll' them, and he has done that before.  But it's in a similar vein to retcons: we'd rather avoid doing that if possible, since it defeats the purpose of the action in the first place.)

(Of course, Windos doesn't have ALL the power over the dice.  Just most of it.  Lady Luck usually has the final say in the matter, and what gets rolled...well, that's sometimes influenced by me.  If I know what dice should be rolled, I tell him, and if I make a mistake he doesn't catch or he makes one of his own and it actually plays out in your favor, we just leave it be.  If it's NOT in your favor, though...well, let's just say I pore over what happens VERY carefully to make sure you're not getting shortchanged, and we make 'corrections' as necessary.)

"..."

(Anyways, the short of it is that there's a chance factor that we can't ignore nor circumnavigate.  It's just...there.  An integral part of this world you're in...doesn't mean there aren't ways to better the odds and manipulate fate ever so slightly, though.  Most of them being pokemon related, but that's kinda given considering how 'magical' they are.  Even without some of those tools, though, you've been VERY good at overcoming the sometimes seemingly insurmountable odds.)

"...well, isn't that just dandy...hehehe..."

(?)

"...I'm not going to let some 'fate' or whatever set my course.  I'll show them...I'll show them just what kind of dragons they're facing...I don't care if these dice or Lady Luck or whatever else has it out for me..."

(...well, just remember that you're not alone in this, Reiner.  Lance might have clawed his way to the top of the League without much assistance aside from his pokemon, but you don't have to.  We're watching out for ya, and there are those who wish to help you succeed in your goals.  Hmmm...actually, that's not a bad idea...well, ciao for now.  I have some brainstorming to do.)

The TUVEI powers down again.

"...heh.  Ya know, it's kinda disturbing that that thing can turn on and off so dang quickly..."

The T.U.V.E.I. spontaneously pops up again shortly after Dragonstrike is finished using it, and they was a rather blunt message on it to greet them.

(Don't. Taunt. Or. Challenge The. Dice. Its a piss poor idea at best, and will only spell your untimely doom at WORST. I have a excruciatingly difficult enough time keeping them in line with the series of blessings, rituals, chants, or intermediately buying new dice sets altogether, and I don't need you putting them into a wicked and/or whimisical mood, or heaven forbid getting Lady Luck or her sister Miss Fortune actively plotting WITH them.)

(Send a pray of forgiveness to them, give up an offering, anything to appease them , and then keep those comments to yourself, unless you WANT more terrifically Arceas wild luck plaguing your every single action from now until kingdom come!)

(And get your mind out of the gutter about 'Fate' ! Their is no such thing, only the plans of man and otherwise that try to control the random chaos that is existence itself. Whatever happens to you is wholely due to internal and external factors on your part and without, so quit taking an attitude about it and just focus on what you have to do NOW to survive long enough to HAVE a future. We are here to guide and help you overcome these challenges, not hamstring you every step of the way. Sheesh......)

The interface then vanishes, leaving a somewhat startled Mew in the wake of such 'robust' conversation, before her mind quickly caught back up to snap her out of it. 'Uh.....what they said, Reiner. As much as they act like overly nebulous and dubious individuals, especially in the case of Windos, the bastard , they are here to help you, so try not to give them too hard of a time unless they start acting like belland. Or continue acting like so, in Windos' case.'

Your divine feline partner then picks up that something isn't quite......'right' with you, and is swift to adopt that worried look of theirs once more.
'Reiner, are you alright? I know that learning more about your Awareness and the underlying facts of your reality, so if you need some time or explainations to process this completely, I'm more than happy to give them to you Partner! ......Just don't let this stress you out too much, ok? I'm here for you, if you need. All you have to do is ask.....'

Considering the fact that all I and Reiner see currently is nonsense, Spirit's message/picture/whatever gets ignored for the time being.

Before Reiner can say anything in response to Mew, though, there's a *smack!*, and his head moves as if he'd been slapped by some unseen hand.

"Ow!  What the..."

(Honstly, Reiner.  Seek to fulfill your own goals all you like.  Don't let anything hold you back from that.  That's fine.  It's partially why you were 'selected' in the first place.  But do try to keep your wits about you while you do so.  I'd rather not tweak your personality if it can be avoided.)

(Now then...I do believe that's enough of THAT conversation.  Which is probably for the better, because as I'm sure you've noticed, Kyubi's starting to get rather concerned and is beelining for your location.)

Notably, the TUVEI is not on currently, since I'm speaking directly to Reiner currently.

(So, get your things in order, gather what you found, and continue on as normal.  There are plenty of battles you can't win, and this is one of them.)

Reiner is rubbing the spot where I slapped him.  It wasn't a light slap, though there's no marks, damage, etc.

"Gah...if I wasn't 99% certain that you actually do mean well, Dragonstrike...alright, fine.  Got some dragons to tend to soon, anyways..."

TUVEI going on one last time.

(Welp, this is all good and well revelations, but I think we have to agree Reiner and everyone else is tired from this long day and need some rest right? You two will have a long day tomorrow in your world and need to be prepare. Its already the end of the year in our world and we have some preparations in our dimension so. Anyway, we not going to bother you anymore. See ya!)

Turn off again.

Mew let's out a heavy sigh of relief now that her favorite human and Partner had more or less returned to 'normal' , and gave you a cheerful smile while 'saying' : 'Glad to see your head is still screwed on tight, Reiner! Now, since we are hopefully done talking about nasty and uncomfortable business tonight, let get your Dragons some TLC and-'

"MASTER!" Kyubi shouts, slamming open the door to the offense with a clearly worried and anxious expression, Mr. Mime hovering right behind them what a look that seemed completely unfazed, but you had a feeling he was a tad concerned himself.

'......get some sweet rest. *Sighs* Alright, what in Arceas' name has gone wrong this time.....?'

Once you calmed down your kitsune and revealed that you had successfully returned to your body (both of which involved almost insesent amounts of snuggly hugging), you were informed just why she and Mr. Mime had made such haste to your locations. This caused the psychic kitty to facepalm at how stupid that was, giving you a pointed Look that perfectly convey the message: 'Now who's bright idea was it to let Weavile get high as Pokeballs off extremely potent Catnip?' , before ruefully shaking their head and floating out of your grasp, and you two head to solve that problem before it got any worse.

Thankfully, the black cat thief was well and truly into a Drugged, senseless giggling state by the time you returned to pick them up (quietly and carefully, since Arial and Riza were sleeping), so no problems on that front! Afterwards, you inform your intentions to feed and pamper your Dragons, and he escorts you to a spacious training room/gym that looks like one found in any typical Pokémon Center/The Rocket Base, only with better equipment and aminoties (obviously) . You release all your draconic Pokémon , which included Arbok as well since you figure that sharing the Dragon Rations and shinning them up with that Oil might cure the fool mood they were in (judging by the stink eye they were giving you for being walloped and ignored up until now) [Roll play the scene out, and I'll see if Arbok forgives you or not!] , and feed them all a heaping help of Dragon Rations/a good nice rub down, giving them the benefits of both Items for the 2 Encounter they participate in tomorrow! This is also your chance to roleplay the scene of giving the Uber Capscle to Kingdra, if you so wish!

After that long but quite enjoyable task is complete, Mr. Mime will escort you to your room for the night, which he informs is Mr. Sterling's old one, but all his personal effects have been removed and the sheets have been replaced, so no worries about feeling like intruding! Oh, and he's also informed you that Angelica/Mina/Emily have been lead to another guest room to rest for the night! Can't forget about them, now can we?

(Alright, things are moving along to their conclusion, just need to finish up theses tasks, and the only remaining business that needs to be done is Mina and Archie's Old Friends, which will be done off the clock tomorrow! )

'Look, do you really think he was going to wind down any other way?  The Dragon Shrine is a rather...sore point in our history.  Keep an eye on him, please.  He's definitely a little extra loopy after getting dazzled by that Confuse Ray.'

[Oh, you have no idea, Reiner...for now, anyways...]

The training room...well, looks serviceable.  A bit better funded than the private one in the main base, even.  He's only ever gotten to use that particular room once or twice, but it'd certainly been worth it.  After a day or two of training there, Arbok had easily mastered Sucker Punch.

Of course, speaking of Arbok...

"...*sigh*...sorry about that, Arbok.  Ya know, if it makes ya feel any better, I got floored by that EQ too.  My back STILL aches just thinking about it...ack...yup, still hurts...yup, bad call on my part...we're not here for me, though.  We're here to give ya all a nice, well earned spa time.  Yeah, I know it's not exactly your cup of tea, Arbok, but I think a slightly more sparkly giant snake would probably be a lot scarier, no?  And you have been doing a spectacular job in other areas.  That Metagross earlier today?  Definitely a good call on your part, well done.  That Beautifly?  Hehe...ah, it was satisfying to see that stupid butterfly get frozen solid...shame the Vampire's pokemon all seem to have nerves of steel in the heat of battle...anyways, since you've all been doing such a great job, I think you all definitely deserve an extra special treat too in addition to a good polishing so you all can look your best when we see Clair tomorrow.  Yang, as promised, here's your portion.  Kingdra, here's yours.  And Arbok, you might not be an actual dragon as far as type goes, but you're every bit as fierce as one, and I think that's what counts.  So here, give it a try.  Maybe you'll like it.  And if you do, maybe you'll get stronger that much more quickly so we can both avoid getting floored by EQs in the future.  I definitely don't want a repeat instance if we can avoid it, so let's strive to better ourselves so we can, right?  And even if you don't grow more quickly, well...you're still my good friend.  One of the strongest pokemon I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.  And that's never going to change."

Uber Capsule application is probably next, so stay tuned!

The mighty and normally terrifying Arbok was initially was coiled up and all glares/grumbling *Hiissses* as you began your apology, but that soon petered out as he heard that you too meet an untimely (not to mention Extremely Painful) Faint via being forcibly faceplanted into the dirt by Buzzwole. Slowly, they began to unwind and relax, inch by inch, as you lauded his recent grand accomplishments this day alone, and the offer of eating something exotic as performance boosting H.Q.D.R.s was certainly a persuasive peace offering (Made all the more so by it being something different from boring old Pokechow and Canned Meat, *Hiisss* .) Getting lathered up with oil that would make him sparkle like a Fairy type WAY too much into glitter, however, was decidedly of less interest to the giant snake, but they’d indulge in it once if their master was kindly offering it.  Besides, what was good enough for that self-absorbed fake serpent Dragon was certainly good enough for him to try, *Hiisss!*

As you wrapped up you friendship speech, the poisonous cobra ponder everything you said and the genuine remorse they could detect , considered the peace offering you offered him......before letting out a huff of breath and giving you a scaly/toothy grin., and dug into their portion of the rations. You clearly didn't mean to put him through the meat grinder on purpose and suffer your own trouble tonight by how haggered you look (Oh, he truelly has no idea....) , and the offering + kind words did wonders to soothe his temper and wounded pride. All was forgiven....so long as you remember NOT to put him in situation that BEGGING to make a fool of him.... Arbok regains that point of Happiness, and is now back at 'Max!'

Yang gives you a respectful incline of his head for honoring their agreement, before they daintly began to tuck into their portion as well, and await the ordained anointment his lusterous scales. Kingdra, on the other hand, detected that was not all you had to reveal during this exquisite pampering session, and gave you a curious yet slightly impatient look so characteristic of the raging sea dragon goddess!
