I feel like I may have ruled Wrap this way in the past.

Yeah, you did.  But if it's typeless damage and Fire Spin lingers even after the user is gone, that'd be rather...strong compared to all other trapping moves.  Which is why I don't think it should be an exception to the rule of binding moves ending when the user is fainted/switched out.

Yeah it has to be both, not one or the other. Gonna leave it the way I did it for this battle, then I'll take a vote for how to do it going forward.

Well, my vote is as follows: Trapping moves inflict Typeless damage unless explicitly stated otherwise or special circumstances, and that ALL Trapping moves end/their effects end when the user leaves the field by any means, except maybe Baton Pass. Nice, simple, no futzing about with damage resistences on each Pokémon, and essentially keeps these moves in line with how they work in the base game while still being useful in Pokerole.

That does seem like the Occam's Razor way to do it!

Another thought in support of that view: Block is really scary in the hands of anyone in an RPG.

Additionaly, if Trapping damaged is typed, then you end up with situations where the after effects deal up to 6 damage if its 4X Effective, and 4 damage if only 2X. Normally weak moves blanced by DoT and their trapping mechanics can quickly become uber deadily in the right hands, or the inverse happens and they do jack all when they are supposed to do at least chip damage. For example, Grass types will just be melted by Infestation and Fire Spin if the dice are not in their favor, and Wrap/Bind gets the short end of the stick due to be Normal typing and therefore getting no big damage and easily nulled/resisted by semi common types. Not good.

Yeap, it sure is! Its why you put such a high price on changing Abaddon's HA to its regular ability, as sending it out against ANYONE looks them down and KEEPS them their until either the blue demon is gone, or Ven permits them to leave. Nasty stuff right there!

Also, both Abaddon and Haneal gain 3 XP from their Double Battle, right?

Congratulations, Nathan, you semi-messed with Shiva! She'll never battle you again, ever. Ugh... These three (1) rolled are hard.

Next Instructions still come tomorrow, it's almost 2am here and I need a bit of rest by myself.

Don't blame me, blame the dice!  Nathan's actually complimenting her, Yena, and Litwick here!  This is a VERY good strategy that Shiva is using, and Orthros was at a SEVERE disadvantage there!  Nathan's actually having fun with this now, and not just because he's 'winning'.

I will tell you now, Phantom, Orthros is NOT evading during the next round. PERIOD. Shiva can have her 'revenge', as Nathan's accomplished what he needed to (for the most part. Forthright is still up in the air, but Yena and Orthros both being happy is helping a lot). She can even KO Orthros even if she wants. Nathan will NOT blame her for doing so.
