[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Phew... Whether I'll respond to Nathan again today depends, as now during rereading and typing up things I've realized how tired I'm actually are. Let's see, but don't count on it.

I'll give Ventus the chance to react before I continue.

Good question... Hmm, he's probably busy with college work. I'd personally value progress, and I read between the lines that he's eager to hold his Gym Battle once he has paid Heart a visit. That, and since 1. Kirlia hasn't gave one look to Ven as he dragged Shiva away and 2. after that 'conversation' yesterday I'm not quite sure whether Ven would want to check on him right away but instead just leave her handle this. I'd certainly would like to leave bit of room for him to react not only because Shiva has said a few sentiments to him before being dragged away, but it feels natural that Shiva would hear them, get them but not respond - so it'd be alright to have it in a flashback? That means, please continue, I guess... I hope that's alright for you @Lord Windos, edits can always be done! ><

Yeap, I bloody well was, and I stillhave boatloads of studying to do, so I'm probably only going to make a couple of posts at most before I have to get started on that. Ayiyiyah.......

As for the mater of Ven being 'left' behind and ignore about Kirlia......well, he honestly doesn't really mind all that much. Kirlia snubbing him doesn't offend or hurt him at all by this point, since he expects that borderline blindly loyal, my master right or wrong Psychic to take offense to the stress he put on Nathan last night, and to a point even agrees with their stance. He has a right to be defensive over their master and represent them, after all.....its just that Ven believe they do it to the point of gross excess (EX: Compared to Apsis, who's perfect loyal and only 1 Point away from max Happiness, but is still willful and can form her own opinions and relationships regardless of her master's). Ven also would figure that he was the one responsible for whatever is wrong with them, and knows Shiva is more skilled in handling Nathan by this point than he, so he would be perfectly fine leaving it to her while he goes visits someone he can actually help out without making things worse.

This will be generalized in my next post, but might as well explain it in detail here!

Kirlia does have some opinions and relationships (like his nervousness around Viktor) of his own, thank you very much.  Something which I'm trying to illustrate with this little scene with Shiva, actually.

I'm not saying he doesn't, I'm saying he has an unhealthy over focus on Nathan and everything concerning him, even accounting for his species' innate empathetic bonds with their trainers. I'm not even making this up, since Iron did poste in the Game Thread that at one point Kirlia WAS blindly loyal to Nathan (waaaaay back, but its there in the Game Thread if ya look!), and has alluded and stated it several times to be a character trait/issue, so I'm not bringing it up to bash Kirlia unnecessarily. Just trying to explain things and make a point of comparison is all.....

Also, Internet just ate my post, and I really don't feel like retyping all of it, so I'll just type up a bunch of points again and let that be left as record of Ven's opinions on things.

That overfocus isn't unhealthy for a Kirlia though!

Huh, thought it would be, but if you say it isn't, then I can only agree! Ven might think differently about it, but I won't have him bring up his views unless its appropriate and reasonable for him to do so in game.

Still, the point still stands that Kirlia is pretty dang focused on Nathan, right? Right?

Yeah, Kirlia's just like any other Kirlia we might encounter.  Well, maybe to a bit more of an extreme because of the 'life debt' and all, but it certainly isn't blind loyalty.

Most everything Kirlia does, he does because he thinks it will benefit Nathan in some way.  Even if he has to be a little...rebellious about it.

Fair enough points, so I'll just leave this topic to rest for now, alright?

Kinda wondering now when he'll finally get to evolve into either a Gallade or Garvendour, though. Little guy certainly deserves to evolve after all the hardship he's been through!
