A dark figure up there in the rain disappears when Shiva approaches the house, and the heavy wooden door to the Gym opens by itself upon the first knock. The portal leads to a very dim hallway.

(Ohh, I hoped that Vaporeon would gain Happiness or such. Anyway, as longs as it's noted as bonding experience and she had her fun, it's all fine!)

Upon noticing that it's raining here as well, Shiva adjusts the hood of her Ranger's Cloak a little and recalled Helios into the safety of his Ball. After a quick rearranging of her party on Bill's PC within the Center, she roams the town a little and ended up at masion that gave her chills running over her whole body simply from standing in front of it. But she's very relieved that the dwelling gloomyness isn't so....tangible anymore.
'Mechanized toys looking like a boat with a face attached to an iceberg'.... [Image: latest?cb=20160816181817] ? These catch her interest, and she chuckles a bit at the thought that these thingies look like a Pokemon.

An encouraging coo from Raphael later, she steps through the wooden door and into the dim hallway of the presumed Gym. A white light of a Pokemon being summoned breaks the darkness and silence, with Delphox enlightening the way with his wand Shiva follows the hallway in worried anticipitation - The thought that she can make it as well as the dream give her the strength to march on.

Eyes watch her from the shadows. Wooden carvings everywhere cast dim little shadows of their own. Every cloud passing overhead makes the shadows dance and deepens the gloom inside the Gym. The crystal goblets and pitchers on a little table to one side do nothing to break up the grayness.

Another heavy wooden door opens, and out steps Chuckles. He's not laughing or even smiling - you've heard from Ventus how the name is a misnomer. He wears a long black cloak and a gray suit. He appears to sniff the air and make a decision.

"Lovely day for a battle, isn't it?" he asks drily. "You are a challenger. Very well. Do you know the rules of my gym? Are you ready to begin right away, or would you prefer to make an appointment?"

So, what's up with that third one?

"In the basement of this very museum, we have been keeping a massively oversized Rampardos. It won't stay in any Pokeball and it shrugs off attacks like Thunder Wave and Spore. It's chained to the wall and inside a steel vault, but we need someone to subdue it so we can transport it to a safer location. Not a word of this to anyone, not even the interns. And we need it alive to study it properly and for ethical reasons, of course. We can loan you a brave Machop, and you should take five (or six without Machop) Pokemon of your own for sure. Strong ones."

Heart thinks that was a little suspect. But he decided to cast that out for now. Heart return Iron back to the pokeball and he finally talks with his Natu. "Okay then. Lets go to bussiness! Natu! Use Teleport! Our destination: Ginger Town! Imagine a place with many Water Falls, and with nature everywere. With a market selling many types of things. Look to the image in your head and lets go!"

With a instant, Heart disapear in a flash of purple light, finally reaching his destination in Ginger Town, to finally face Zamboni. "Great job Natu. Rest a bit little one. You done a amazing job." With that say, Heart changes Natu to put in place Nidorino. Heart currently team: Iron, Rose, Percival, Gustav, Gargryph and Caesar. With that team in hands he go in the direction of Zamboni, more than ready to challenge him.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Correct, $1200 for Riolu.

"You look strong enough to handle this Riolu. He'll be glad to get out of the Shelter."

Indeed, upon being adopted, Riolu turns almost shy. Unlike with Heart, he doesn't kick you or threaten you at all. When you finally open the door to leave, and it's clear it's happening for real, he runs ahead in a frenzy of excitement! He starts running back and forth on the street until you catch up. He's so happy!

Riolu was caught!

We'll say Heart has been to Ginger Town before, 'cause I don't think it happened onscreen. But he did explore the region for a bit before joining the party, and he would have landed in Corsage Port and gone west.

Zamboni's Gym is quite simple on the outside. The inside has been transformed into an arena, which already has some spectators in the stands, reading books or chatting or partaking in the unending stream of sports refreshments (beer, hot chocolate, hot dogs, hot fudge sundaes).

There are signs directing challengers where to go. Heart follows signs saying "First Time Challengers with 1+ Gym Badges =>" and comes out onto a hockey field, slick with ice. Little wooden platforms allow the challengers a firm place to stand if they wish. And a windshield. And a pair of skates on a stand.

The center of the court is a Pokeball design, of course, and the button is replaced with a little pool of water. It looks extremely deep, but it's not all that wide. A Snorlax would get stuck in it. Couple boulders around, too, like in the classic ice puzzles.

Zamboni comes skating out. Heart's trainer card appears on a big LCD screen.

"Welcome, welcome, challenger Heart! The rules are going up on the big screen right now!"

"My first Pokemon will be Delibird. Everyone, give a big cheer for challenger Heart!"

It's hard not to like Zamboni, and he always gives himself a few handicaps in his Gym Battle, preferring to showboat and be a graceful host instead of guarantee a win!

"We've seen that it uses Outrage, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Take Down, and Chip Away. There may be more. We're pretty sure it doesn't know Superpower, at least, or this steel wouldn't hold it."

The further Shiva goes in the hallway, the closer she sticks to Raphael for soothed nerves and to Delphox for warmth + light, the time noble and ominous and scary Chuckles himself appears she has linked arms with her dearest magical fox.

She's obviously afraid, but does her very best to ban that feeling into the darkest corner of her being and cloak it in a veil of confidence and quiet WILLPOWER as she faces the ghostly Leader with a neutral expression. "It's raining", was all she says at first. ".....And I came from quite the distance to this city for the purpose to conquer my fears. Postponing this by making an appointment for the battle is no option..." *strengthening of posture and eager headshaking* "I don't wish to leave this mansion without facing the challenge now please."

Mustering Chuckles a little, she continues. "What are your conditions and rules for a battle then? Do you....accept Double Battles? I heard you do, and I took some time to find combinations of moves and Pokemon that'll hopefully ensure me leaving this Gym and city with a third Badge."

Delphox just stoicly watches this figure that seemed to unhinge his valued Master, not breaking contact between his own pure white eyes and this man's deep black ones once. He has his orders.

With all these cheers, Heart give Zamboni a respect bow. Even now, Heart still have the style of a ArcHeart coming though his veins. "Its a honour to be here Gym Leader Zamboni. I okay with the rules." From his belt Heart takes Iron Pokeball. He hold for a seconds and then throw with style. "As much everyone already know my name, let me present myself. I Heart! ArcHeart! PUNisher and a Pokemon Rare Collector! Now Iron! Show your might might Thunder little buddy!"

With that say Heart release Iron the Alola Geodude, who comes to the field with sparks around his body. "Remember what you have promised Iron. Lets do this!"

(Bring the initiaves and lets begin the battle!)

"That's certainly a powerful moveset...but at least it's unlikely to know anything Lethal...something that big and powerful is also bound to be noticed by someone eventually if it's not taken care of soon...alright, I'll see if I can overpower it for ya.  How strong is this Machop, though, if I may ask?  I'm going to have to plan this carefully..."
