[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
It all worked, none has even suffered even a scratch - no Pokemon from them all, neither Dizzy, nor the both carriage's Pokemon and most of all, not even the human travelers. Well, apart from probably a mild shock from all that stress and tension of this incident and the Ryhorn itself, but that was something that's only temporarly - what's the important thing for Shiva now, was that they all are safe.

She visibly relaxes both mentally and physically, only now she realizes that she unconsciously was miming her Gothitelle's stance. It almost looked as if Shiva was attempting to use Telekinesis herself, or was trying to fake being psychic herself. Regardless how much she'd wish for that, it didn't work of course, but she'd believe that it helped her both Pokemon concentrate as she asked them to. Now, she was a little embarrassed how carried away she has gotten, but neither Lilith herself nor Kyuu seem to mind: The former was gifting her Special Master an amused smile and crossed her arms in a display of pride and satisfaction, while Kyuu began to calm down again now that the huge Ryhorn was dealt with - he joins Shiva in picking up the Berries vivid Dr. M has given out like candy, together they collect 3 tasty Oran Berries.

Just when Shiva picked up a fourth one, he displayed more of his skills, or in other words: He opened up his carriage in a much flashy way to some sort of stall, and Shiva was the first one at the window and stared at all the wares with immense curiosity. Her feeling of this Doc finding his unlucky end here if it wouldn't have been for Celebi's powers or them all - THIS gave her an icycold shiver running down her whole spine. Oh the tragedy. She still is very unsure what he may have to do with Azu, but maybe now she can dig deeper. That, and she somewhat liked that Doc already!

Before she could even speak to him though, the other and more noble carriage with Smeargle and the Gogoats appears, and very quickly Shiva brings her attention to the family, she wished to assure herself that they all were okay.

Much to her relief, they indeed were. In fact, if taking a look at Dizzy, Chansey and the youngest member of the family, they could barely do better! This sign alone was enough to make her soft heart melt like a Casteliacone on a hot summer's day, she came to these three and gave Dizzy a very appreciating smile herself. "You've done great, Dizzy. Yes, you ignored what I asked you to do - but you know what, I don't care. You are not forced to follow what I ask you, if you've got your own ideas - follow them. That Future Sight was a good choice. Thank you... for sticking with me, please take this." The additional fourth Oran Berry Shiva has picked up is given to Dizzy in return for his Persim Berry. Edited in charasheet. (None replied to me whether it's okay that I'm taking a 4th Berry for Dizzy, so I assume it is.) To Chansey, Shiva gifts 1 of the fluff her Cottonee has shed. "That's for you. It's from my most dear Pokemon, and makes wonderful fluffy pillows. Ideal for the lil' one you're in charge for!~" (Does she accept the small gift? I'm having so many fluffs collected for plushies by now anyway!)

Quote:Dad runs over to whoever's still nearby - he'd probably run to Heart who looks like the adult (and male) of the group. "Oh, thank you, thank you! I'm traveling with my son and, oh, it could have been such a disaster! When I saw those Absol I thought it was the end for sure. But he seems to like them. How can I thank you, how? Such strong trainers with strong and fast Pokemon! Such heroes! So helpful! So creative, catching a stampeding Pokemon when moves weren't enough to stop it! I'll have to write a letter to Professor Westwood and thank him for his wonderful invention saving my family from certain death! Two Absol, gosh!"

He slows down a bit.

"I'm Mito, and that's my wife Rita in the carriage. Machop, my footman. Our new nursemaid, Chansey. Our old cabdriver, Smeargle, the third generation of Smeargle serving our family. And of course our little baby Pumpkin-Peanut. Look at him, he loves Pokemon so much!"

He shakes your hands, possibly including Terra if he comes over here.

"Anything I can do for you, name it. Please. It brings me honor to repay your kindness."

Haha, Shiva is a bit overrun by so much praise and eager and a desire to repay their heroic acti- Wait a moment. It seems like only now it hits Shiva that without actively trying she has, in the eyes of this father at least, acted like what she subconsciously desired so much to be - a hero. This... It increases the trust and liking for Celebi, as she has given Shiva the opportunity to shine a little among the natural battlers of the group. It gave her a feeling of rightfulness, of warmth and of 'having done a good deed', in short: It's a wonderful feeling.

'Celebi... Thank you. Just thank you...' Wherever the Legend may be now, Shiva's sure that her thanks are reaching her.

Though it also allured a rather coy blush and immediate timidness within the fae enthusiast and she rather weakly returns the handshake of the father. "Haha... Uhm, well, you're welcome I guess! We, ah, happened to be at the right time at the right place, and no way we could just sit and watch as a tragedy destroys your domestic happiness. Your son's so adorable, he can pet my young Absol as much as he likes! (^o^)♡ I'm Shiva by the way, nice to... meet you."

She's a little shy when he so openly wishes to repay them for their actions, stares at the ground and ponders whether it's okay to ask that - but he said to please name it, and Shiva's inner voice assured her that it's okay. 'You're a hero, my dear! Savor that.' While the others have already headed over to Dr. M, Shiva remains with the family a little, she wishes to catch the Doc in a more private manner, means maybe not while the others are openly listening and standing beside. "So, ehm, if you insist on doing showing your thankfulness so much.... If you, I mean, if you by coincidence have an egg of your precious Chansey, I'd be all happy to take it. Oh, no, not one that'll eventually hatch into another Chansey or Happiny, I mean one the eggs it lays, one of those lucky ones filled with happiness and good fortune - Please!"

The rugged wanderer turns to squint at the near disaster zone, before looking back to the farmer and nodding.

"Yes. Don't see anyone panicking, and Rhyhorn is gone, so I think everyone is okay. *Nods, then bows* I will. Thank you for your generosity, sir."

Dewott's indentity and purpose being revealed caused Terra to pause and then stroke his chin beard as he thought about it.

"Ah. *Beat* Hmm.....if Dewott's job to discipline Emboar, he needs to become stronger, or they will not be stopped easily. Or he needs to earn more of their respect, so that they listen to him. Moat will do its job too, but has to be big and deep enough to......make Emboar not want to cross it. *Cross his arms, and nods his head* That is my advice. Take it, or do not."

"Yes, it would be a lot better if they were on commensurous footing, and both fully evolved. Dewott has one more evolution. He'll get there eventually, I figure."

Heart in fact was interesting in two certain items. "Excuse me sir. I have indeed a few things to offer in exchange for the Torchic Teet and the Psyduck Milk. Also, what is that ElectIzer, MagmarIzer and ProtectorIzer?"

"These new gizmos are all the rage! They aren't really medicinal items. They're appliances I've refurbished with my own brand!! They were recently discovered to have the kind of energy a Magmar, Electabuzz, or - can you believe it - Rhydon, need to evolve! If that doesn't make you drool I don't know what will!"

Heart did not get interested in the Izer things. Except maybe the MagmarIzer. If he remember, Slugma takes one thousand years to  evolve into a vulcano....and he did remember Spira/Mikaruge108 have a Slugma. "Hey Spira! I found something interesting!" Say Heart to Spira. "In fact sir, there is someone who might takes some good use in the MagmarIzer. I would like in exchange for MagmarIzer, Psyduck Milk and Torching Teeth for a Blue Gem and a Sparkling Half Geode." Heart show the gems to the guy. Heart is trying to avoid sell the Rhyhorn, since he might find a good price when they return to the future...maybe get a Fire-TM or something even better to Rose thanks to that Overgrown Rhyhorn.

"Sir, you wound me! The Psyduck Milk alone - do you have any idea what it takes to extract milk from a Psyduck? It's not even a mammal!...I think? I think it's a bird? You'll need to do a looot better than that."

He could give you $500 worth of stuff for those two gems.

Heart thinks for a second. Until he sigh then says. "Fine. How about the Rhyhorn I have captured now? Its pretty strong and know a lot of types of moves. Along with the previous items I offer and I want from you, I would like along 2 Revive Crystal, the Mega Snax, and those maps of other regions. The gems and the Rhyhorn compesate the prize of everything?"

One thing to think about there is that Rhyhorn is captured in a modern Great Ball.

(Ahahahaha, Lucky Eggs for everyone due to a careful and hopeful thought of mine to make my non-combatant chara's battles a bit more fruitfull! Sweet.)

Shiva's blush and shy manner remains, but a very delighted smile appears on her face upon Mito stating that he indeed has a few of these precious and oh-so-valuable eggs a Chansey lays. "Thank you, thank you so much! Ah, I am originating from a family of Pokemon Breeders and have handled countless fragile Pokemon Eggs with my father, be assured that an egg of your dear nursemaid is in safe and protective hands. It will.... remind me of you, your family and what has been achieved this fateful morning."

The farmer earned a brief curious look for his fancy wording, but it was soon shrugged off with a nod of his head. He understood the jist of what they said, so no need to make himself look like a bigger fool than asking what 'commensurous' meant....

Presumably their conversation done, Terra inquires if there are any Saddles for Large Pokemon they have, and if they are willing to trade for it for a Shiny Dwebble Shell (and he gets the leftover Poke, of course). Then he departs from the farmers presence and made his way to were the two caravans were, making sure to thank them for their hospitality once again before he did so. In his typical straightforward manner, he first went up to the family and informed them of the farmer's offer ('Farmer knows what happen with Rhydon, and said you all can come over to rest and recover.'), before going up to Dr. M's and telling him the same.

After doing so, however, his attention was snared by their gaudy, eye-catching stall, and so he immediately went over to investigate. After scanning merchandise and listening to the 'Good' Doc's  offers/policies with critical eyes and ears, he realized exactly what he was dealing with: a  Merchant. Not one of those stuffy clerks in Pokemart/Department store who you couldn't/wouldn't make a bargin with without pulling teeth, but a true blue bonified Merchant. One you could haggle, bargin, trade, and make deals with, where all that mattered was how one was going to profit from given exchange as much as possible. A person like his parents, his grandparents, and countless generations past of his family.

Once everything clicked, it was like a switch was thrown in the man: a wide toothless grin stretched across Terra's face, as he withdrew certain Items from his pockets and caught Dr. M's attention with a polite cough.

Time to wheel and deal.....

Order: First, Terra's going to try and get a Saddle that will fit on Lapis with 1 S.D.S., and get whatever leftover Poke for that trade. Then, with Dr. M, Terra's going to make an off for a 1 Torchic Teeth, the Maps of the distant regions, 1 Revive Crystal, and 2 Energy Powders for the 3 Shiny Dwebble Shells he has left (Total Cost and Sale Value should be equal, or +/- $2250 Poke), and he'll try to haggle for 1-4 more Energy Powders by saying: "These Shells can make any Dwebble Shiny in a jiffy, a extraordinary thing one can not do with hardly any other Pokemon, making it a rather choice purchase for those Trainers that own a hermit crab of their very own. Wouldn't you say that worth an Extra Energy Powder or a few, your most graciousness....?"

And lastly, we come to the part where Terra tries to hawk his Lovely's raw Lapis Lazulis. He first gives Dr. M a perfectly charming smile and says: "Since you had the good eye to appreciate the value of my Shiny Dwebble Shells, might I share something with you a bit more......interesting." Presumably they say yes, so he slowly draws out a cloth bag and opens it to them, showing all the sparkling blue gemstones within. Once he has their full attention, he launches into his sales pitch:

"These, my most gracious friend, are the Tears of a Milotic, shed and crystallized by it during its most stunning and passionate of Performances. Though not as breathtaking as one of those beautiful creatures, they hold unique therapeutic powers  that just might bring many a sigh of relief. Just one of these tiny Tears has the power to soothe the spirits to those that hold one and gazes deeply into them, erasing all sort of odious stresses and tension that normally cling stubbornly to the mind, and becalming even the most stubborn of worries. If a Skilled enough hand when to cut these and make jewelry out of them, it would not only magnify the powers of the tears, but make the most striking of fashion statements for whomever wore them. An Item that is both a treat for the mind and the eye, wouldn't you say Dr. M? Now, I would normally never part with these beauties, as they are priceless relics that would be wasted on most, but given that you are a most esteemed and successful Doctor, I know you would ensure they are put to proper use, by you or your patients. So how we make a trade? My bag of Tears for $500 Poke. I'm practically giving it away at that price, but I like you and appreciate the good work you are doing, so I willing to undersell just for you Doctor. What do you say? Or, do you perhaps have another offer in mind for them.....?"

Hopefully that speech is good enough to get him at least somewhat interested in them!
