[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

After Platina responds to Daxter's question, that's when Team Omega Seekers and Team Stripes arrive on the scene as well.  Arcanine, Lurantis, and Barbaracle hang back at their leader's suggestion, but they're clearly listening very carefully to anything that might be said by the younger group of pokemon.

I guess that'd be now then, we are not waiting on a further response from Platina apart from what's told in the latest post in-game from Windos, or are we? Sorry if that's a redundant question, I just wished to make sure!

Either way, I'll make a quick response to Espeon and Umbreon, then get to preparing the first interaction of Kee (and Kogeki naturally) towards the shiny bird in a seperate post. Besides, am happy as heck that it'll indeed be Umbreon and Espeon Team OS will travel with! ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ I outta-chara so wanted to team up with them because of the Magnagate traveling! Not that I know much of them since I haven't played Gates to Infinity all that much (only a few early-game missions on an emulator, and that's quiiite a while ago too), but what I read about these yesterday on bulbapedia sounded super interesting, excited to learn in- as well as outta-chara more about them and the two Eeveelutions!

You're in for a treat!  Magnagates are a really cool concept!

Also, you should totally finish Gates at some point.  The game's characters are some of the best written ones in the series.

Oh, I will, I will then at some point after I completed some post-game content of Explorers of Skies , as that sounds exciting indeed! Not much of a big fan of some of the changes that have been made in GatesToInfinity, but the Magnagates and definitely best written characters are sure to make up for that!

Going to be awhile before I can post, as I gots a presentation to do tonight and studying to do later. That, and I need a bit of time to answer both of Kogeki and Kee without Platina being excessive about it. I also must say that Platina’s earlier introduction SHOULD have been heard and seen by all of Team OS , not just Dax , right Dragonstrike? If that is the case, they should at least know her name before they introduce themselves and have an idea she’s a bit haughty ( and therefore not take well to any rudeness) .

In the meantime, I have a link I'd like to share with everyone.

This link will take you to a website with an interactive map of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World as of Super Mystery Dungeon!  Now that you guys have the Connection Orbs, you have access to the information contained on the world map.  To see the locations of all the Mystery Dungeons that have been mapped by the Expedition Society (but not necessarily explored), open the interactive map and make sure the boxes for Super, Rescue Team, Explorers, and Gates are all highlighted (ignore Other, because that covers unused data from Super and dungeons that only appear during the Dark Future of Explorers).

(if another PMD game is released that uses this map, there might be a chance it'll be updated later I guess?  If that's ever the case, ignore any additional tags that might be added in the future as well)

If you click a dungeon's name on the map after hovering over its marker, it will link you to the dungeon's page on Bulbapedia.  Note that in game, the information about the possible contents of a dungeon is not readily available to your characters via the Connection Orb.  Treat the Bulbapedia pages as a resource for the players, not the player characters, unless there are sources in-game which can give you information about the dungeon in advance.

Credit for the creation of this resource goes to the wonderful u/EddyK28 on reddit (a.k.a Doc Krok on the Mystery Dungeon subreddit), a prominent Mystery Dungeon researcher/modder in the community awhile back, as well as one of the Mystery Dungeon subreddit's moderators at the time of writing.  You can find the original post where his interactive map was linked here.

I've added the link to the Various Tallies and Tables tab of the Player Resources sheet for easy access later, as well as updated the World Map tab of the Main Menu on page 1 of the Game Thread.

Fun Fact: I was planning to use this map right from the start of the campaign, but the website went completely down for a long period of time close to the start of the story.  That's why Eddy's post on reddit is proclaiming the map's glorious return!  I was very happy to see he'd finally gotten around to fixing it.   The map was also missing a few dungeon markers for a very long time before the website broke, but it seems all the missing ones were added after Eddy got the website running again (or rather, started hosting the map on a completely different website).

Then I suppose to save everyone time I'll just presume those intro posts happen before Platina can launch into her speal, since I don't want to force anyone to rework their posts nor redo an intro since it'd piss Platina off they weren't paying attention the first time. Onwards I go!

Whoahw, that is an AWESOME world map of the Mystery Dungeon! Very splendid to look at and explore, and rather useful. That's some definitely passion but into this project! I'll add a link to that in the Mystery-Dungeon-Log tab on my own charasheet to have it readily available without needing to open the player resources if that's fine!

Doing that, I, uh, noticed I totally neglected that Diary Kee I wanted Kee to keep as it's an own tab, too... (^v^; ) I'll just reason this with how Kee was either too busy, too tired or didn't feel like writting into it the past few in-game days and the week we timeskipped over, starting from the current in-game Day with him keeping it hopefully updated now. It'd be bit of a hassle wanting to update it all and the diary will very quickly be clogged if I (or Kee actually) would write in everything, as I wanted it to be similar like the Diary Sunflora and Bidoof are keeping in Explorers series, they didn't write down every day either but more like...event that left an impact on them, so to say.

Really enjoying Delphox's interactions so far, Dragonstrike! I like how they're treating everything seriously like usual, but not being too gruff about things or letting the situation make her justifiably harsher with others. The fact she's been fairly respectful to Platina is a nice touch too, since it both subvert my PC's expectations and the fox herself doesn't need to be such with a small fry like her that made a bit of a fuss. That she is choosing to do so anyway shows she can be compassionate, if fairly driven and still blunt as a Crabhammer about it.
