Iron:
I'm committing to the Paras hunt unless any changes happen during the wait as mentioned in the header post.
Give the word and I'll start pushing time forward - until then, I'm going to do a little character establishment.

Trying to avoid creating "time dilation" headaches for the GM that are common with multiple players doing their own thing in a PBP.

Annnndddd... I'm glad I did cater for a wait.

Change of plan. New plan: Unexpected snake hunt.
Joy.

Iron:
Congratulations! What I guess was a background scene NPC just got promoted to plot relevance! (Where I come from, P.C. is shorthand for Police Constable.)

Might have ended up unintentionally leaving you out of this bust-up due to the unscheduled Leeroy Jenkins. Sorry about that.
Just made sense from a narrative perspective to hustle.

"Snake hunt" - lolz! Good luck on this...

Sorta hilarious how evo- and mega-stones seem to be sought after.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ At least we two don't have to mind the rain, we're indoors. Hopefully, it has stopped by the time battle's done...

That certainly kicked off faster than I thought it would, but I'm glad it's at least gotten things going.  So much for waiting for the rain to stop as well...

But oh well, we can have some casual conversation filler until it all begins for real in the meantime.

Also, I'm not surprised they're commonly sought after here.  They do heavily affect a pokemon's viability in the long term, after all.  Very little else can do something like that in the series.

Seeing as we'd already walked off by that point to focus on what we were doing, I think that's about as well as things could have gone.  Welp, into the lion pit we go as we struggle to deal with the aftermath...

Two battles, comin' right up!

New rule for encounters: put it in bold when you commit, like "I fight the Nurse Joy." (you don't have to do that for this first set since i've already figured out what's going on.)

Alright, seeing as the action's starting to kick off, I'm getting an itch to start playing some music that fits what's going on currently.  Might as well share what I'm listening to while reading it all, yes?  Have some youtube links so you can immerse yourselves further if you don't happen to own these tracks yourself and want some background music.

In the Prof's Lab (start of the adventure):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bq_tYRBzdg

Trillium Town (first visit.  From the look of things on the map, we'll probably be passing through it a couple times)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ozc_6zN4SUs

Battle Against A ___ (uncertainty and panic abound in this first set of 2, so here's a couple of more intense themes)
Trainer!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBqRclvvmcE
Wild Pokemon!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24rDEJxVCm0

Since the battles are at the same time as well, I guess either could fit the overall situation from what we've seen so far.  It'd be a pain to switch between the two tracks...

Heh. You're not the only one. I went with Fighting Right On myself.

Yeah, not something I would recommend...there's also the track that Dies Irae selected as well to consider.  Seems quite fitting for the Ekans encounter too.

Going to have to change up my formatting then. I've been using bold for spoken text and italics for interior thoughts.
