I remember he made a really big deal of it way back, so that is most likely the case here. How long will it take to get there, Iron?

And on the matter of battling Nathan...uh, good luck with that. He would likely just dismiss Larry's challenge, simply saying Larry's not quite ready for that yet. It'd be way too weighted in Nathan's favor just based on what he's seen of Larry's team and training.

lets see I got the type advantage on your ralts and ponyta while your star thing (I don't remember what their called) will be the problem but saying its in Nathans favor might be an over statement

Larry, Nathan might just crush you if you press him. He dominated me, the arguably most viscous fighter in this campaign besides maybe Valder, in our battle. Not a great Idea to challenge him unless you like the taste of defeat...

Nathan left Trillium Town about as good a fighter as Larry, but he's now better by the numbers. After all, he beat a gym leader and has been training hard.

Larry just want to test how far he has gotten (if I win, Arkansas will beat Alabama on October the 14th lol) but hey if Larry can beat Nathan he could beat anything

EDIT: Larry was a better trainer by route 1 but then stoped training by ginger town and that's where the numbers came in iron

You don't have a clear type advantage against Ralts.  Kakuna and Ekans are just as weak to psychic as Ralts is to poison, and nothing on your team resists Psychic.  I also have two combee, who can maul (figuratively) Larry's bugs with gust, and a Porygon with Download and STAB Tackle.  And have enough dice in my accuracy pool to reliably double attack.  And I also have a mystic water now, which helps Staryu even further.  

If Larry bugs Nathan enough, he might be persuaded to battle Larry just to get it over with.  He's not going to hold back in that case, though, and he's not in the best mood right now anyways as it is.  And such a battle is also risky in the wilds of the routes.

Plus, Larry doesn't know Nathan has Porygon and the female combee yet as far as I know.  Maybe he's seen Nathan with the female combee.  Maybe.  He definitely doesn't know about Porygon, though.

well i'll be damned I didn't know about half of your team too but yeah it seems Larry gots LOTS of training for Kakuna, Ekans, Magikarp, and Oshawott (does the shedinja way of evolving work the same as in the games here) nicada not so much

Don't even get the idea of challeng me for a battle, Larry. Shiva's not much of a fighter anyway, so you either need a very good reason that she accepts at all. Or you just need to annoy and anger enough.

Mechanical note, @Iron, Cottonee gets a Ranc Berry Poffin at the evening after talk with Nathan is done. Lil' fluffball did so well against Lapras!

I was asking if I get a shedinja the way you evolve a ninjask with the open slot in your team and a spare pokeball

EDIT: i forgot i didn't say it in the post but Larry doesn't want to fight Shiva as she is weak and Larry doesn't want to make anyone mad that he OHKOed Shiva's team (or at least with the type advantage over most of her team Larry should be able to OHKO her team)
