[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
You can train with your Pokemon as the second encounter slot, since it sounds like at least Valder would like to stick around, and maybe Nathan wants to interfere in the bird mob. That'll be 1 Xp, and a training roll for Cottonee! I'll just do Dex + Fight = 3dice.

(5)(1)(6) So cottonee gets 2 bonus XP.

Ability: Big Pecks
Moves: Tackle, Growl, Peck
No surprises. Am I forgetting anything?

I had a great game of real life D&D today that involved setting up a puppet Mayor under my party's control. And several assassinations, my character's specialty.

That's fine! Then I'll just return to where I've seen the others last time, at least Nathan shouldn't have moved far away. As for 'forgetting something', Loyality and Happiness, please. Both 2 like PlusleMinun because they decided to come with me?

Oh, and you play D&D as a player then or DM? Just curious!

2 to each of Happiness and Loyalty, yes.

I play two games as DM (one very rarely) and one game as a player. The game where I'm a player tends to meet the most often.

Figured that was what you were up too, since I recall you mentioning having a D&D session on a previous Saterday? Should we expect you not to post here until around 10:00PM or so on Saterdays or Sundays?

Wait there, you plan to evolve the female Combee? You surely can, but it might lead to oroblens with Ventus (given how he reacted in the hive as you people encountered the Queen), as well as maybe with Shiva because she simply doesn't enjoy these species...

Don't feel like sharing my plans for my 'mons move sets.

It's not so much that I plan to, actually.  The book says female combee evolve upon reaching maturity, so it's more of a 'when' instead of an 'if.'  The bug/flying duo might leave pretty soon after if they've found a suitable place to start a hive.  It's unlikely we'll be rid of them before then.  Or they might decide to stay.  Nathan's going to be flexible, though his agreement with Ventus was that they leave when we've found a suitable home for them.

Vespiqueen also learn some nasty attacks which could be semi-useful.  She's one of the only pokemon to learn Toxic through leveling, and the 'Order' attacks are all pretty nasty too, as are Fell Stinger, Fury Cutter, and Slash.

In the long run though, the combee aren't a permanent part of the team.  But hey, free honey!

It's kind of random, but yeah I often play D&D on weekend afternoons.

Jelly.  Tongue

Some afternoons, I find myself surrounded by tables of roleplayers. It's torture.

Mostly because I have to run my business. But also because some of them have no indoor voice and listening to them counts as cruel and unusual punishment.

Before I get into Nathan's next encounter, he's going to have a brief conversation with Ventus about Azurill since he's the closest.

And I mean very brief. As in it'll be less than a minute or two of conversation. Those birbs are going to interrupt it.

Nathan seem pretty non chalet about Apsis being wrapped around Ventus like he's the most huggable stuffee around. Perhaps he's used to the researcher's bizarre nature by now?

It's still rather unnerving.  He's just suppressing it as best as he can along with his other feelings about the snake.
