Unless things get very dangerous for Pokemon and/or Trainer or one party is clearly playing unfair, I assume.

Not that way! Ventus would just challenge the boys to a match for double or nothing what Nathan owes, and if Ven ends up losing he has to pay of the debt, not Nathan. My character isn't that brash to interrupt a trainer battle, unless its really going poorly for your chara (Like them using Lethal Damage without holding back, or trying to rob you of your Pokémon after the fight).

Or maybe if I hadn't used the specified number of pokemon yet.

But then Nathan might get ticked off instead of the League.

I would hope he's feeling confident if he did that.  That'd be risky since he already owes the League 3k.

You'd also have to give them a chance to heal their pokemon for it to be considered fair.

You already have the fine of 3000$, and you want to load even more onto yourself? ^^;
I'll hold off with posting in GameThread until Iron rolls us new Encounters for the current area.

Wise decision.  Nathan's gonne be using Staryu's illuminate to attract some wild pokemon after this battle.

If there's a Joltik in the area, he'd greatly appreciate obtaining it.  That M-Pinsir kind showed him just how vulnerable his team is to flying types, which is why I was rather worried about that Wingull.

Ven would let hem heal up, as he's not without sportsman ship; he's just ruthless in battle. He has advantages you don't, if he decides to fight on your behalf: Debuffs and Status! Ven literally has access to all status effects in the game besides Disable and Attract, and between Charm, Growl, Leer, and Screech, can totally neuter offensive and defensive ploys! That, and enough type resistence and Attack variety on his team that he could swing a victory, if the dice don't try to gang up and murdalize his chances. Oy vie...Iron's dice do not like me, when it comes to battling....

Unless Illuminate attracts a Drilbur or Numel, Ventus is just going to stick either scooping up that Trainer's Item, or going to have a double or nothing battle with the bros if he has too. Getting an electric or Rock type would solve your Flying type problems, but having a Joltik would be an aforable addition to your team!

The dice get us all at the best of times.  Just look at how my battle against M-Pinsir went.  My luck was abysmal throughout the entire thing.

It seem the dice have a love hate relationship with me, though. One encounter, they are pounding me into the dirt and laughing at me, and the next its nothing but chocolate and roses from them, as if begging for forgiveness. I rather have consistently good or bad luck with my rolls, instead or what I get now. At least I would know what to expect when I enter an encounter *Sigh*....
