Nathan walks up to Princess and gives her a (somewhat awkward) hug. "Amazing job, Princess. You did great despite the odds. I'm proud of you. Kirlia, thanks for persisting despite what happened earlier. You feeling a bit better now?" Kirlia nods. It wasn't that bad, all things considered. Just a sudden spike. As quick to go away as it had happened.
"I have to say, I wasn't expecting a battle that difficult. You two might be rascals in most of Trillium's opinion, but you're certainly good battlers."
Nathan has to ponder what they said and asked for a moment. 'Hmmm....a Skiddo would be interesting...but that's REALLY expensive...and that doesn't help me against those flying types much either...electric, though...no, that Pinsir is probably more of an issue. I need something other than just Swiftfire for that...I wonder...this forest is filled with bugs...would there be any Joltik around here? Maybe Staryu can help with that...'
"Thanks for the info regarding getting a Skiddo. I'll keep that in mind if a need for a good grass type arises. As for something to tell Mallorn...I can't think of anything right now. Do you know if he's going to be in Corsage soon, though? Oh, and before I forget, let me ask you something. Was it your Wingull that had Water Absorb, Riff? I've never heard of that species having that particular ability before. Keen Eye and Hydration, yes. But Water Absorb? That's a new one for me."
FLASH FORWARD!
Nathan use Staryu's Illuminate to attract some more wild pokemon to the area after the battle! Maybe the light would attract a Joltik...they're not the most common bugs, but they DO like light and electricity. Heck, maybe he could convince a Joltik to come with some honey and an offer to help the little bug recharge. It'd certainly be much better than a battle with it...he was equipped if it came to that, though. He hoped it wouldn't, and he REALLY hoped it wouldn't be super stubborn, but if convincing it didn't work...he needed something half decent against flying and electric types pretty badly, and what better pokemon for the job than an electric type itself?
Looking around after Staryu's Illuminate brightens the area, he spots a flash of yellow! Three, actually! One by a hollow tree, one in the grass, and one by...a street lamp! Perfect! That's a fairly likely spot for an electricity sucking bug to show up!
