That can be arranged. I'll just have Ventus ask Nathan what he's going to do about the Rattatta first, instead of just straight up going to kill it right away. That way, I only have to rewrite the end of it, not the whole thing.

Welp, @Iron, I have nothing to about the Rattata except trying EAGERLY to stop Nathan and Ven from doing anything they might regret later. Depending on the outcome, but most l will do the following, I'd like to carry the fainted rat away from camp to a spot a little away from camp to make sure 1. it does not return to us and 2. Nathan cannot find it without spending a while searching for it, which I naively believe he won't do with his Kirlia badly wounded.

However, I'll head to bed now. I'm sorry for this, but I cannot stay up the whole night and wait for things to go on...

That doesn't work, because we don't know if Ventus will ever even see the body. Rattata may already be dead, or hidden, or captured, before Ventus gets there.

Very well, Iron. It still won't stop Ventus from finding out and hunting it down, but there is a time for everything, and now is not the time for murder. At least, not until Dragonstrike makes his move.

Yeah, it's a reasonable choice to kill a wild Pokemon that uses lethal moves, but Nathan gets first option on that honor!

We'll see how he reacts to Shiva's suasions, too.

I believe Shiva is not only good in acquirering wild Pokemon (it was dice luck, but it's nicely in-character~), but also in convincing Nathan of not doing such a horrible thing - whether it's sucessful, depends on him. Yes, horrible in her view - the rat using lethal attacks is no reason to kill it. Did she kill that Weezing that badly harmed her Plusle? No. She also was too concentrated to even realize Apsis already did that. Nature is cruel, Shiva's aware of this, but there is no point to forcefully take the rat's life...

Sorry I've been taking so long between posts during such an important scene.. Still at work. Business has slowed down a lot, though, so I'm doing my best to keep up in between customers.

I get off in an hour and a half, so I'll be able to post more frequently then.

Looking forward to it. Could be a big part of Nathan's development, and of his relationship with Kirlia, and with Shiva, and with Ventus.

Best Case Scenario: Nothing dies, and everyone moves on from this crisis!
Worst Case Scenario: Ventus murks the life out of the Rattatta, and permenantly causes a schism to form between him and the party!

Of course, these are the extremes of what could happen, but one must know the outliers in every data set, so that you either can exclude them and/factor them with the rest of the information.

Honestly, I'm hopping that Nathan just goes ahead and kills Rattatta himself. That will really cause Ventus to open up with him even more, since he understands how hard doing such a thing is, and he'll comfort the boy to the best of his ability. If he gets in the way or tries to prevent him from commiting the action, Ventus will ignore his concern on this matter add do it the deed anyway, since he believe that any lethal actions towards his friend must be punished severely.

Dragonstrike, you now hold the power to change to entire course of the campaign! Use it wisely...
