Well, you don't have to worry about Ventus going after Rattatta anymore, for you got him thinking of the right things to let that go now. That, and he REALLY doesn't want to rock Nathan's mental boat right now; not after what happened to him and Kirlia today. Rejoice, for he has stopped Ven from killing yet again! He's a miracle worker, I tell ya! Seeing Shiva resolve to be with him on the act, and thinking over how she would feel about him killing it also was a big factor in changing his mind!

Your characters really are bonding! Can't wait until the daycare business comes up and takes a sledgehammer to that! (No, I do not, I'm just kidding. Please don't hurt me!)

Things would change between those two because of the trip to murder a Rattata... change in a negative way, I mean. But now, things changed in a positive way! How droll to see. Ven gets another kiss of the witch as reward.

Its not like he's being paid to care about conflict of interest between his boss and his friend! If anything, Ven probably would have sent THEM out to kill the Rattatta instead of him if he arrived, so small blessings indeed that he didn't! Also, are you just going to use all the Potions and give the Sitrus Juice back, or do something else, @Dragonstrike ?

Already stated what I did with them. Sitrus Juice and One potion used since there was 3 lethal damage, and we both get a potion each from what's leftover.

Didn't see that post before I made that one, so sorry! Now, since crisis mode is FINALLY over, and everyone is more or less not about to have a emotional episodes, I'm going to try and get at least a couple of hours of sleep now! Zzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Oh, now that Valder's with us... Will initiate trading the knife for a Stick with Ven the next morning, before gifting Ronin Spearow to Valder.

Wow, I went to bed at really the wrong time.

Great job resolving this peacefully - that's what roleplay is all about, I think, and it's important to be able to compromise IRL for the sake of the game, even when "my character would do that!" 3XP to Nathan, Shiva, and Ventus.

BUT I am not sure that was fun for anyone, in the end. In the future, I think we'll just resolve this with bidding XP (something Windos suggested early on in the encounter, after all). For the sake of the game, not for any character reason. Sound good?

Sorry I didn't stick to my guns on that earlier.

That's fine to me! By the way, I did not enjoy being put on auto, but in the end it's alright, because 1. you quite did what I wished to do plus it had the effect I was after (saving Nathan from killing the rat on his own) and 2. it all ended up peacefully.

Mind if I go after that Zangoose? I assume both Nathan and Ven will focus on Kirlia in the morning, and Zangoose was my first encounter-pick anyway before I decided to build bridges with Nathan again by following him on the Mandatory Encounter. Still have a friendly battle with Nathan as well gifting Ronin Spearow to Valder in mind for this in-game day, now that he's with us again. @Nylon, if you're there, we can work this trade out soon enough! It can be flashbacked I believe. Spearow still has the weapons it 'snatched' from the Dojo, so Valder can have the Spearow itself now and its original weapon (the Sticks) soon enough. Which is, as soon as I successfully approached Ven for trading those Sticks he still has.

Be very careful with Zangoose, Phantom. It could have Crush Claw, which is going to be even more dangerous than that Rattata's Crunches were since it's both STAB and has a VERY high chance to lower defense sharply (5 chance dice for -2 defense...yeesh) in addition to being lethal.

And even if it doesn't, it also could have Slash, which has that increased crit chance.
