Ventus gets a slightly suspicious feeling from them. They definitely think of themselves as outranking you guys.

As evidenced by what happens next: the Scimitar near Shiva slaps her with his gauntleted hand!

"Never speak out of turn again, girl. What is your name...servant?"

Ventus almost summons Apsis right at that moment to began severely menacing the vile magical guards, but he keeps himself in check as he grits his teeth and watches the display, his eyes smoldering with barely contained wrath. To say that the researcher was displeased would be an understatement... 'Must....resist....urge...to....kill...them. This is to be expected from mages: their arrogant, egotistical, and brook no tolerance for challenges to their power. I'll see how Shiva reacts first, before I decide upon further action....'

The other's guard laughter was NOT helping him resist the desire to slit their throats, but he just stoically kept his silence. For now.

... So, these Guards are higher rank than they are? Or think they are? Well, damn it then, while this doesn't reduce any hurted feelings in her, she rather quickly adapted to that situation to prevent any trouble here. Not going to start a fight here when they reached that far in the base without being attacked from something that are no Zubat... Not going to let her emotions win and risk failure of the mission.

However, they went WAY TOO FAR the moment they got physical. While she endured the hit like it was nothing, it subliminally killed off any former fascination for the Elemental Wizards... And will likely develop into a hate of the same degree as Ven holds against them. Well, they asked for it...

She kept that toxic tone. "Fine... We'll keep quiet then. At least we made your evening entertaining, so if it's alright, we'd prefer to get to the others now and report our trip to the forest. Besides, we accidently lost our gauntleds there, so we're very interested in getting new ones. We're not here in the base that often, so could you please tell us where to get them? Our names likely aren't registered for the same reason. So if you'd pardon us then..."

After receiving an answer and (hopefully) being let go then, Shiva would just...pass the group. It was clear that she held quite a grudge to these Guards and prefered to move forward to meet up with the other Scimitars then. "Let's move on, shall we?"

"Forgive them, sir, but they are...inexperienced when dealing with their superiors. She's also got a temper and speaks rashly when angeried, so don't please don't take what they say the wrong way. She just needs a little more discipline, that is all. Their name is Freya, the other man name is Thor, and my own is Odin. Now, can we please move on through, sirs?" Ventus says, in a perfectly calm and respectful tone of voice. Perfect control of his emotions means he can fake them too, you know!
